Excellente adresse, très propre, au calme avec personnel très disponible

Chambre 101 Facile à trouver. Métro station Central, à deux stations de métro Esplanade. Pas très loin du bus V2 qui va à l'aéroport Accueil sympathique, courtois. Check-in rapide Personne très disponible Très propre et au calme (dans une ruelle perpendiculaire à une grande route) Bonne literie. Salle de douche WC agréable Climatisation et ventilateur C'est un très bon emplacement avec un bon rapport qualité-prix Je recommande

Tout était très bien. J'y suis resté 3 nuits

快適に過ごせました。コルカタの喧騒の中のオアシスでした。

目の前が大学で、部屋にもよるかもしれませんが眺望は良いほうだと思います。受付スタッフもとても親切でした。部屋の雰囲気がよかったです。

トイレの便座が掃除されていませんでした。一応掃除済みの紙テープは貼られていましたが。夜間のチェックインだったし、アルコールスプレーを持っていたので自分で掃除しました。キングスイート　バルコニー付きを予約しましたが、設備にバスタブと書かれてましたがありませんでした。ただ、写真はシャワーのみのこの通りの部屋だったので、写真を信じるべきです。

Good place in an good area to feel Kolkata

Very helpful staff, nice room. By night it is even quite calm. By day the quarter is very lively - as Kolkata in general has by far too much chaos and people. But it’s an experience to walk around and to see under which circumstances many people live on the road.

次の移動が早朝のハフラー駅のため、その点を考えて選びました。冬に泊まりましたがお湯はでます　スタッフも良かったです

部屋のトイレの換気扇が廊下に繋がってるのでたまに異臭が。。。朝食も廊下のロビーのためきつかったです鉄道移動を使う事を重点に置き、1泊なら問題ありません

Very comfortable hotel in an old university area

Nice room with windows from which you can see garden. Very comfortable room to stay.

Only thing I don’t like about it so much is the quality of omelet.

Not a good place to stay.

Nothing

The rooms are not the same as shown in photos. No lift at the property. You have to take the stairs and they are not comfortable at all. The stuff are not trained neither the know courtesy. Food is overpriced. The overall location is very dirty.

Obviously not used to European guests.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

On arrival taxi drops you at the head of a scruffy side road as it can't down it and you'll wonder what the hell have I booked. Room was very small and not particularly clean. Breakfast was served just outside the room in a small sitting area. Not happy when we got up early one morning to find a number of staff sleeping on the floor in this area.

Overall great place to stay for business trips

The location is kind of near to all the main locations in the city - finding ways to travel in the city was easy, the staff is amazing and the place is calm - great for a remote work environment.

The breakfast really don't have much options 😕but you can order 2 atleast of your choice - thanks to staff, you will have to buy packaged water from the hotel if you need it in the heat - almost 44°.

Superb

It is officially THE CLEANEST hotel I have ever lived in India! And I really mean it! They sanitate room after every single guest with some disinfection liquids, wash the floor and clean the bathroom utilities. It was a blessing! Breakfast is delivered to the room, you can choose from variety of options - all of them were tasty. The personnel is also very helpful! I 100% recommend this hotel for stay in Kolkata!

If you walk deep in the evening, be prepared to see some rats on the street (it has nothing to do with the hotel though). Also, it may be tricky to book a cab as the entrance is located not directly on the street and uber drivers cannot (do not want to) find it, but you will manage it easily with the help of receptionist.

Exceptional

Everything was good, but especially location is perfect. The hotel is located in central Kolkata, 10 minutes walking from metro Central station, it is possible to reach most of the places by walking and anyway there are many bus lines and Sealdah railway station is close too. The breakfast was good. The staff very helpful and friendly (special mention to Narayan). I hope to come again soon.

Very good

This was my first experience of hotel in India. I consider it that is a quite traditional hotel. So, as a complet new thing, it is complicated to define like and don't like; just tell my experience. I arrived at the hotel after midnight (a little bit difficult to find by my taxi driver, but he succeeded after a short while). There was a strong wood door at the entrance, closed. I had to insist a few moment before I heard some noise inside and somebody came to open (however I was aware of that due to comments by other previous traveller, so I did not worried). Two nice people came and help me with my (light) luggage, showed me the room and said that the formalities will be done in the morning. Room was quite small (very small TV) but it had good internet. The shower complicated to use, I did not understand very well, but I did not asked, as for one night I managed in a basic way. Nice typical view of Kolkata from the window. The people in the hotel and around very polite and helpful. And ATM close (I was able to withdraw enough rupias; be aware that once exit from the airport, it is not easy to find exchange offices)

Highly recommend!

Well-worn but clean sheets, comfortable bed, generous variety of snacks and cookies provided. Best part - the room was cleaned properly each day, not just surface cleaning. Many thanks to the great people at Hotel Cecil - Mr. Umesh, Narayan, Wakil, Mukesh and Mathur.

Breakfast could start a little earlier, like 7.30 a.m. Staff should be encouraged to learn basic English so that they can converse with guests more easily.

Very good

Location is convenience to walk around the old city. Staff are very kind and polite. I ordered room service for breakfast and dinner and the meal was very good as well.

Cars are very noisy if the room is facing on the street.

A classic Kolkata experience

Very clean hotel and room is fully equipped, great location in northern part of Kolkata Old Town, nice Indian breakfast, staff was very helpful, lots of dining options nearby
