Very quiet and peaceful.
We were disappointed it was so far from the Moats B & B cottage, which we picked as it was very near to where our grandaughter lives. I guess we should have investigated further but to us it was not obvious from the listing that the separate accommodation was 3 miles away and not on land where the cottage is situated. The actual accommodation was as expected, just not situated where we expected. An unfortunate mistake. The listing should make this clearer.

Fiona could not have more accomodating to us
A little difficult to get to

See boxes ticked above!
Nothing we didn’t like! Very satisfied.

I was in the Stockmans cabin which is isolated but in a perfect location if you want solitude. It is away from the main house and along some narrow roads but this was fine by me.
It would have been nice to know about the outside facilities but otherwise all was fine.

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Nice room and spacious bathroom. Quiet, rural location.

The one bedroom Stockman's Cottage was an ideal rural retreat. Well appointed with excellent cooking facilities, comfy beds and speedy hot water. A real step up from.our usual small touring caravan. Friendly cats, and delightful donkeys nearby plus farm fresh eggs.
Bedding and fluffy towels provided.
Sadly the weather let us down a bit.
Barn owl gave a flying display one night.
Well, the weather! Though clearly the farmers needed the rain.
Fridge a little small.

Pretty place
Very hard to find. Lady running it made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. Bed linen was badly creased and not ironed. No hairdryer in room but apparently was available on request but weren't told until I mentioned it as we were leaving. Had to come and go via French windows which lead into a very overgrown garden and to go through hole in hedge back to car. Not safe for people of over age( both over 70).

Location was ideal for my purposes. Namely within easy reach of an event at the Malvern 3 Counties Show show ground (7 miles) I was visiting, with a very pleasant drive through countryside and the Malvern Hills to get there. Room was comfortable with the normal items you would need, including direct access to the garden and secure overnight parking.

The room with its extremely comfortable bed had just what we wanted with regard to facilities, and the continental breakfast provided was just the right start to our mornings. The location of the house provided the tranquility we were after while at the same time being in easy driving distance of Ledbury and Great Malvern. Fiona and Peter went out of their way to look after us during the 3 nights we stayed at The Moats, providing tips for eating out, ideas for places to visit and great conversation. Fiona even took us out to see the donkeys, geese, peacocks and chickens she keeps at her other property nearby. If we ever find ourselves back in the area there is no doubt in my mind that this would be our first choice for accommodation. Thank you, Fiona and Peter, for a wonderful stay and we wish you every success with your future ventures.
There is absolutely nothing I could possibly enter here!

The Moats in an idyllic setting off the beaten track.
The partner of the host met us and showed us our room.
Later the host met us. She was very friendly and chatty.
The bathroom was modern and the best thing about our stay.
The room was extremely small and damp
The tea and coffee and sugar was damp in the jars/dishes provided.
The bedding was not ironed.
Continental breakfast was provided which was cereal and toast.
We had to pre order anything cooked.
We asked how much would it be and we’re told £1 per item.
We asked for poached egg on toast and scrambled egg on toast. For which we were charged £6 each.
The 1 piece of toast was part of the continental breakfast so we paid £12 for 4 eggs.
The chicken s were in the greenhouse outside our room!!
The house and garden needed a great deal of work carried out to upgrade its standards.

THe accomodation was excellent, self contained room in a period cottage absolutely perfect. Bed was very comfortable and the shower had plenty of power.
Having to leave and go home, should've booked longer

Lovely location and very quiet
Breakfast was very poor. Toast and croissant only offered. Lots of old looking preserve jars been open for ages. Sugar bowls uncovered..not hygienic.. dirty cutlery.

Possibly the loveliest place we've ever stayed

The host was very amenable and kept i contact vi email to ensure arrival time could be met etc. which was necessary due to a very lengthy journey tot he property. I chose the property based on location and trying to support smaller businesses rather than the typical hotel chains.
Fiona is unable to offer invoices which means I cannot claim back the cost of the accommodation through my company unless VAT receipt is offered. I didn't see any indication of this during booking and I had stated that i was a business guest. This may be a lovely place to stay when warmer and for non business guest but it isn't, in my opinion , a place that should be considering business guests , particular without ability to invoice. The room itself was very cold (an old cottage) with hot water bottles on the bed. Upon trying to sleep later it was clear that the bed coverings themselves were damp and cold and resulted in minimal sleep, even keeping my clothes on. I dont know whether i was the first guest of the year and hence difficult to get the room up to warm dry conditions but it certainly didn't help my chest and breathing for the following few days . This resulted in me getting up early to leave and try and get a hot breakfast somewhere on my follow on journey but i found the entrance door to the room to have been locked from the outside. Fortunately Fiona had commented that there were french doors which i unlocked and found my way edging around the side of the house to the car. It was quite distressing feeling i was locked in. Visitors wanting old world interesting niche accommodation in a lovely area please do consider this when the weather warms up but not if you are a business traveler.

The host Fiona is a delightful lady. Porridge was freshly made for me and we chatted while I had lots of coffee. I did appreciate this being on my own and she was lovely, interesting company. I was made so welcome in her home, it made all the difference to my stay. I hope to return and stay in her converted stables away from the house, the pictures of which look amazing.
The room was in a separate area of the property, so you didn’t feel you were disturbing anyone. Parking is at the front of the property, so no distance to carry bags.

We were booked in the cabin but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move into the main house upon Fionas request. This worked out to be perfect as the room was so comfy and had all we wanted.

Breakfast very acceptable with a range of cereals, toasts and beverages! Could have had a cooked breakfast (had we pre-ordered)!

The Quiet! The Prospect has all that's needed, unless TV is a necessity. We enjoy simplicity and basics. Being so near the animals was a treat. Local walks abound. The sky at night was clear and we could see stars well. Shop, café and pub are a 15ish minute walk away or a 5 minute drive up the lanes.
On the website, we thought we were hiring the Prospect as a self-contained unit on the same site as the Moats (the owners of both), our original point of interest. We were surprised that the Prospect was a mile or so away. This was never a problem and we were kindly guided to the new site from the Moats by the owners. The Prospect is listed separately on the website, but hadn't shown as a choice when we were looking, only as an option from the Moats' page.

Comfort. Nice place.
Would have liked a little fruit with breakfast.

Great location. In the middle of the Herefordshire countryside and surrounded by England’s best flora & fauna. The quiet of the night, waking with the chorus of dawn birds. A typical country garden that needs a bit more care and attention didn’t distract from our relaxing environment.
B&B room was small with a large super king bed that was perfect for us. The quient Rey short doors built in an era when people stood no more than 5’ tall. My 6.3 fella was doubled over when going into and out of the kitchen.
The kitchen was very old fashioned and in keeping with the Tudor house. If you’re expecting anything modern, then you’ll be at the wrong venue. We were asked what time we’d like to have breakfast (which was nice) rather than told the timing. He had a good continental breakfast, but I know we’d have loved some freshly cooked bacon and egg.
Bathroom/ shower room. Modern with family size containers and a power shower.
We would have loved a full English breakfast. It’s what we paid for and thought we’d be getting, but the offer was for a continental breakfast and the full English was taken away from us.

The location and house itself was wonderful and Fiona, the host, made me feel like an old friend. Breakfast was a choice of cereals and toast or pastries, which was more than enough for me. The huge bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I'd go back anytime.

it was conveniently placed for a wedding venue at Coddington Vineyard. The owner was very hospitable and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Typical Country side thatched cottage, away from the hustle and bustle of city life! The host, what's the point in stopping anywhere if the host isn't friendly and welcoming. Fiona is an excellent host, helpful and very friendly, taking us down to see the animals and wild flowers. Great location Good variety of food in Ledbury with other historic towns, and fantastic views all within easy reach. Hereford, Monmouth, Symonds Yat, Malvern, River Wye and a bit farther afield Ludlow, Bourton on the Water. With M50, M4 And M5 all within easy reach as well.
Nothing!
