The balcony
Long que and only one receptionist makes the check in procedure so long
We waited 45 minutes in the reception and all my credit cards were not accepted

Night Receptionist was quite friendly even though couldn’t find our booking and downgraded our room category. Breakfast was quite nice.
Downgrade of room category, bathroom, elevator that is getting stuck each hour, staff, price is too high.

Close to the beach, has non-stop supermarket
The elevators are very slow but we were lucky that we were placed at lower levels and we took the stairs.

Good size and well placed apartment. Clean. Nice balcony. Correct breakfast. Parking place. Excellent staff.
Not renovated. Hotel feels just above the poor lvl. Awefull and smelly bathrooms. Shower designed to make the entire room wet. Elevators from old times.

The rooms. The service.
Lights on the balcony did not work.

Great location, nice room, wonderful breakfast with whatever you could wish for, great value for money
At the end of season, they started to close down Golden Sands now, but that has nothing to do with the hotel of course

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.

The food was very very good and the staff was nice
I didn't like the noise that came from the Prestige Hotel. There were parties every day with very loud music

Breakfast was good. The location is very close to the beach.
The room was clean. The cleaning staff was very friendly.
I like Golden Sands very much. I have already visited Golden Sands for the second time.
A reception leaves a first impression of a hotel.
Depending on how the reception staff treats the customer, the customer evaluates 80% of the hotel.
In my experience, the staff at the reception at Erma Hotel were not professional, and there was a very lack of service mind for customer.
and If you choose the smallest room in this hotel, you may have trouble sleeping due to conversations in the next room.

The location is very good, right next to the center of the town and close to the beach. There is working air conditioning, a fridge, a TV and a balcony where you can dry your beach outfits. The beds are quite comfortable even if the room is a regular 3 starts hotel room. However, the breakfast was delicious, with lots of things to choose from including freshly baked pancakes.
The toilet was not working properly and in general the bathroom is not very nice. It's clean but old and with bad appliances.

Hotel is close to the sea and at the entrance there is a supermarket. Other restaurants and shops are just 50 m away. Staff at the Reception is very friendly, as usual and they always try to solve any issues that my be reported.
The rooms are pretty big and clean and breakfast is very good, with a lot of options to chose from (except for the coffee, which was really awful).
There are two pools where guests can stay for free.
Some of the guests tend to be very noisy and during the day there is always music from the hotel nearby (Prestige).
The biggest minus - maybe not really something the hotel may solve - accessibility. In order to get to the main street / other way round, there are some stairs. I wanted to bring my parents, but they are old and they could not climb all the stairs. I have seen a man with a leg injury having really a difficult time to climb until the hotel. What if there are people in wheelchairs?

The location is good and I liked the skyroof bar.

THE GOOD:
STAFF:
The gentleman that works during breakfast and dinner at the bar at the lower pool was so nice & helpful. I think he had no hair, maybe 30's or 40's. The husband & wife team that work at the bar on the higher floor pool were also so sweet & kind to me. There was an inside bar too, that man was also nice (there were 2 guys, one wasn't friendly but the other one was). One night time light haired young guy in reception was nice, not the young dark haired evening guy who wasn't friendly. I don't know if these are the right names of the people, but I *think* these are the people who treated me well: Miglena, Rado, Dragomir, Gabriella, Ivan, Nikoletta or Nikola? Petur was the maintenance guy who was also very helpful, another guy that came to help him wasn't so nice, got upset when I asked him to mask in my room, but Petur was cool. The lady in housekeeping worked so hard & did such a great job, please tip housekeeping well!
LOCATION:
Very close to the beach, a super short walk, only one hotel was closer to the beach than this one.
DINNER:
Buffet dinner costs extra, it was about $15 USD. The dinner was delicious, it was definitely worth the cost. There was variety & freshness. During the day I bought some stuff ala cart, they were edible I guess, not as good as dinner, but not as horrible as breakfast. Ultimately, only the dinner was worth eating.
BEDROOM:
(MINUS the bathroom which was awful). The room itself was very clean thanks to the wonderful housekeeper, & there was a lovely balcony with a great view. Initially they had put me in a noisy room facing the beach & other hotels. Music blared loudly till 4am. I was surprised I was put there after requesting a quiet room before even booking & being told no problem. The manager said they won't refund me for the rest of my stay if I leave.
PLEASE NOTE: BOOKING.COM WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO POST PHOTOS OF THE HORROR THAT WAS THE BATHROOM. MY PHOTOS WERE CENSORED TWICE. THEY ARE ON T.A. & SOON WILL BE ON GOOGLE
THE BAD
NOISE:
So thankfully I was eventually moved after much begging and pleading, to a room not facing the beach/party street which is all night noisy with music blaring from every direction till 4am. I was next to the elevator and next to the staircase. I would hear every time someone shut their bedroom door, it sounded like they were slamming it loudly, but that was the thin walls and bad insulation more than it was people being aggressive. If you are a partier, this hotel will do. If you want to ever sleep during your trip at all, you should keep these fun facts in mind. Still, it was definitely better than the other side.
BREAKFAST:
Breakfast was included in the price, but it was so awful. Fruits were either past their ripeness and old, or picked way too soon and had no flavor. The eggs were cold and had no flavor either. Sorry, but not one thing was tasty nor fresh, not even the bread. I went a couple times and then stopped. It was better to just buy a yogurt from the convenience store.
WIFI:
It said there was wifi in the bedroom, but there was not. I tried and tried, ultimately I had to go downstairs to the lobby.
HORRENDOUS BATHROOM!
While the bedroom inside was clean & nice, the bathroom looked like it was from a horror movie. But this time they would not move me. You wouldn't see this at a 1 star hotel in the U.S. How could thousands give this hotel such a great score? I assume because it's inexpensive, but I wouldn't have stayed for free had I known. This went above housekeeping, it was more of a maintenance than a cleanliness issue. Maintenance issues of course makes it difficult to keep clean. The entire time I was breathing in BLACK MOLD.

Very clean! Everything needed was available in the room and room's kitchen full wıth all needed applıances for three people. Room very spacious.
Free parking available.
Very good breakfast. Bakhlava with cinnamon - love forever!
Somehow it was incredibly cold in the room, but thanks they had spear blankets in the wardrobe.
Also there were few alive insects in the room.
Coffee mashine need to be cleaned, as the water has taste of calk

The best choice for a 2-stars hotel.
A clean hotel, close to the beach, with partial sea view and clean pools.
Breakfast was ok.
3.5 / 5.0
It was my second time coming to this hotel, as it is more than a 2 star hotel.
- Location is very good: very close to the beach and to the resort center (max 200 m). Just at the exit of the hotel there are two supermarkets, where one can buy drinks and snacks. Also very close -100m- there is the end line of the tourist train, which can take people to the other end of the Promenada. Also short distance - 50m-100m- there are many restaurants and shops.
- Staff is really nice, polite and helpful, they helped me with all my requests.
- Hotel overall looks very nice and has 2 pools for the guests.
- Room: Big enough, with balcony and tables for the guests. Beds are OK and sheets very clean. Bathroom is also big enough, but note there is only small soap available - no other toiletries nor hair dryer. There is also a small fridge we used for water and snacks. TV available, but with more channels in German :).
Tip: I changed my room for a double room, with sea view. It seems studios do not have sea view.
- Breakfast - really good and so many things to chose from - best breakfast ever!
- No WI-FI in the rooms, but only in certain marked areas in the hotel.
- Water at shower was smelly.
- Sleep quality - not so good, as there was music from the clubs outside, but the most annoying thing was the noise made in the hotel by the German tourists. I had to go to the Reception 2 nights in a row because at 3 AM or 4 AM they were watching TV really loud. Other times they were screaming, slapping doors at midnight or talking really laud at breakfast. There should be a disclaimer for the Germans - if they want to stay at the hotel, they need to respect other guests, otherwise they should go somewhere else. Really annoying!
