Staff was really welcoming even if I got there a couple minutes late. Everyone is social and they have a WhatsApp group chat that keeps everyone looped in on events or runs to get stuff that you might need for your stay.
The room does get a little hot. Another would be the internet connection was terrible it would keep on disconnecting and it said no signal.

The Staff, Social vibe, fast and reliable internet / WiFi. Loads of activities, rooftop bar

Great hostel experience! Clean and inviting with lots of outdoor space, friendly and attentive staff, active group chat with lots of great events and social opportunities both at the hostel and around town. A good pick for solo travelers and couples, especially those looking for a social vibe without being too big or overwhelming. Quiet hours were respected, so going to bed early was definitely possible.

Équipe super sympa et disponible, emplacement parfait et l’hôtel possède tous les équipements nécessaire.

The people that were staying here were very nice and friendly.
The value I could have gotten a single room with my own bathroom and TV in a better location for the same price instead of sharing a room with 3 other people.

There was nothing wrong with this hostel but it was not for me. The dorm is a raised platform with mattresses separated by hanging sheets offering zero noise and light protection. Location is great and the staff were very helpful. There’s a good community buzz.

Very clean. There were housekeepers making rounds all day. Really cool atmosphere with lots of cool places to relax. You can socialize if you want or you can enjoy time alone. Privacy curtains were a plus. Lots of private space within the dorm. Very helpful staff. AWESOME location.
Pretty loud at night. There is an 11pm noise curfew but voices travel easily from the rooftop seating area into the dorms. You'll want to bring earplugs just in case.

Amazing stay at this hostel. Great rooftop and bar, plenty of activities, daily breakfast and kitchen/central area are great for socialising ... Staff were super helpful and lovely! Location is very close to the centre too and music/noise are off by 11 pm.
Bed was comfy and had privacy curtains. Would recommend!

The price. The vibe, the rooftop bar, the staff, the location. The breakfast. Really was great. Place is quiet every night by 11pm.
The mosquito net in our room was ripped and really served no purpose. Put thats the only flaw

It was so colourful and had lots of hangout areas, including the rooftop and lobby. Our room was small but cozy, with a fan :)
There was not much to dislike. Everyone seemed quite young - we are 32, most of the guests seemed 20 but it's normal :-D

cool hangout area and the breakfast was yum!
a lot of people in one room which makes it difficult to get to sleep
4.1
private spaces for your bed, good breakfast, coffee in the morning, bar, space for doing yoga/workouts on the rooftop, no pool
wifi doesn’t work in the bedroom

Beds a bit dingy and dark.

the hostel has a really nice vibe & lots of potential
bed bugs!!! big time - I’ve literally had to pick them off me. the place isn’t clean at all, my under-sheets were really marked with what I assume is bed bug blood and I got bed bugs on my 3rd night. someone I had met said they had them the night before and I also heard that someone in their same bed had them a few days before. when I spoke to the volunteer about the fact that I had been bitten on my 3rd night she was really rude, she said it’s normal for hostels to have bed bugs and that they are really good about setting out poisons — I hadn’t seen one in my 3 days of being there though. I asked for a refund and she said because I had stayed there they weren’t going to give me a refund for that night. this was after the volunteer has spoken to the owner / manager. they did offer to disinfect my clothes and said they would put them in alcohol and set them out to dry - which I have read is pretty inefficient so this is probably why they can’t seem to get rid of the issue. I found it pretty insulting that a hostel would just shun all responsibility for this - the ‘im just a volunteer’ excuse she gave just isn’t good enough. I have also heard the owner is building a new hostel which I assume is probably why they are being stingy and focused on keeping their cash

Great hostel in the center of the city heart. Plenty of information from the friendly and helpful staff. Free salsa course on the rooftop bar. whatsapp group which helps you get around. Get all infos about what to see, do , get around or book trips. And of course meetup with 'strangers' to spend some time together. Great local breakfast if you like. Security advices.
Oaxaca is short on water, but shower heads and pressure could be updated, to provide even faster showering / saving water. Missing hooks on the wall to place your clothes on, please install some!

the hanging out area, the roof top bar and hangmacks, the breakfast, the fact that you have privacy curtains

I really enjoyed staying in Iguana. Although the rooms are a bit dark and not super comfy, you can have your own space even while staying in a dorm, which is great! The common area is excellent, and they offer a great variety of activities that made me want to stay longer. Theres an amazing kitchen, with a lot of space to cook. Also, the (included) breakfast was delicious! Would stay again!
I stayed in a dorm closer to the entrance and it was very noisy from 7am on

Great staff and lots to do I would gladly stay again!
