Most staff were pleasant and helpful, but several were gruff bordering on rude.
However, it is true that there don’t seem to be any reasonable alternative hotels in this area.
The room was somewhat worn and even when new would not have qualified as more than 4-star.
There are no facilities except the swimming pool. With a little effort, small seating areas could be set up on upper floors inside the main building for guests to relax while enjoying the sea view and breeze (you can’t from your room because there is no flow-through ventilation, and you can’t from lobby level because only the pool is visible), but no one has bothered to do that.
Food was overpriced for what it was. At a takeaway counter, for example, most sandwiches were US$ 14-16. Across the street is a general grocery which evidently relies on the fact that the Marriott overcharges, because a bag of potato chips that would cost US$ 4 in the US costs US$ 16-20.

Location good. Beach was beautiful. Property in need of update. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms need updating. Our sliding glass door was cloudy; hard to see of it. Fan in room blew right on bed so was harder to sleep. But overall experience was

comfortable with friendly staff. convenient from airport. good facilities.
The food & beverage area needs to be improved. The food was average at best forcing guests to go to outside restaurants.

I liked my room, the staff, and the food inside the restaurants in the hotel.
I didn't like the food at the food joint outside by the pool. My steak wrap and fries was burnt. They then fix the problem after I complained.

Breakfast not offered.
Bar music too loud.

Good hotel whit nice facilites. Océano room view was giving us as an upgrade.
At the check in our card access to the room never worked in 2 different rooms. However they gave us an upgrade to a room with ocean view.

The location was nice. The staff was wonderful!!! The food was really good.
we had a special bday dinner on the beach which was great!
There was alot of construction but that is to be expected after being closed for 2 years. Besides that it was great.

Great location, breakfast was good. Staff was great and helpful. Great vistas, beach was great, majestic property!
Loud neighbors, smelly bathroom, place seems to be poorly maintained. Most pools or
Water feature were out of order or in disrepair. The center piece Galleon is falling apart.
Lots of plastic trash. Start a campaign to keep St Kitts beaches clean, I volunteer if you provide accommodations.

The only reason I did not rate poor across the board was because of one employee in particular. Her name is Olivia and she worked at the Pizza Shack one night and the next day she was at the pool serving drinks. Outstanding employee who remembered my name and room number. Thank you Olivia!
My wife and I were informed that we needed to take a mandatory COVID test arranged at hotel to leave St. Kitts. This, after I informed person at check-in that we had an American Airlines approved process called Verifly. We had to pay $110 US to take the test.
As it turned out we DID NOT need the $110 test taken at Marriott. We did successfully complete the Verifly testing/process and it was accepted by American Airlines and we were allowed into the US with no issue.
I would like to be refunded my $110 US please.

Everything. This hotel should be closed. My partner and I have disability and I requested a room on the ground level but instead we was put on a second floor room with AC OR AN ELEVATOR. After complaining we was moved to a ground level room. We went to the only restaurant that was open and got food poisoning. The sheets and bed was dirty. Everything was closed or broke including the ice machine. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!

The property was amazing for tourists who came to "vacation in place" during COVID. Most of the guests were Americans on spring break or vacations and never left the property. Still the property is expansive and although guests were "quarantined" we could make use of the many swimming pools, a jogging path around the property, the beach and several restaurants. We could also order food from outside which was delivered to our rooms. The rooms were cleaned regularly and everything felt very clean and safe and secure. The weather was beautiful and I spent days by the pool and on the beach and opened my windows at night to let the Caribbean breeze blow the curtains in. It was pure heaven!

Clean, comfortable room, nice beach. Convenient onsite shopping. Nice spa facilities and excellent treatments.
A lot of the resort looks like it hasn't been updated in 30 years. Some of the restaurants were closed. We were invaded by a cruise ship and the beach was very busy.
