Really beautiful hostel, we had a private river view room and it was fantastic. Futons were comfortable and we had a private sink and fridge. The area is lovely and easy to walk from the station. The onsen was fantastic, very spacious and clean, we wish we’d stayed longer.

Staying at K's House is an experience in itself! I highly recommend staying at a riverside room. Love the tatami mats, the truly japanese feel, the location, and the beautiful views.
Nothing, it was awesome.

Very typical and cosy Riokan, exceptionally well maintained structure with very kind and helpful staff. You can either overnight in the dorms or in private rooms. Public and private Onsen available.
Nothing

コスパがよかった。温泉もいいです。
部屋が古いのでそれなりに古い匂いがした。

雰囲気が良かった。4階の塔に上ったが、そこの絵はちょっと雰囲気にそぐわなかった。温泉は気持ちよかった。

Overall, the stay was nice. We stayed only for one night, as we were planning to go hiking the next day. Our room was spacious, very clean with its own toilet and shower, as well as little “indoor balcony” area with a lovely view of river. Onsen is really nice too.
In the evening of check in, we received a message saying that we can only check in until 9pm and it would be impossible to check it afterwards, which sent us into a panic mode right away. We were on the way from Tokyo by car and since we got stuck at work and traffic, our ETA was around 10pm. After we called the property, we were told late check in is possible after all. All communication was done in English and it seemed a bit passive aggressive with a couple of “NOT” in capital letters, which I am personally a big fan of. We were also told, that we can’t leave the property until 8am in the morning, because they need to do a proper check in. Fortunately, it had been raining since morning that day, so we ditched our hiking plans, but it would definitely mess up our day itinerary. Apart from that, there are several signs of what you can and cannot do all over the common space area. I do understand that they have a lot of foreign guests who are not familiar with ryokan etiquette, but it does disturb the vibe a little bit (but that’s only my personal preference)

The building is old and has many shared spaces to relax. The onsen is INSIDE and is very convenient to access whenever you want it. The place is right on the river which provides easy access to a lovely walking trail. The walk to public transit is short, and the train station is about 10 minutes away. If you have the chance i recommend staying here and taking a bus into the mountains for hiking. Then return to soothe yourself in the onsen.
Creaky floors and the doors jam. The beds are also uncomfortable in my opinion.

The historical building, the amazing friendly staff, the location, the VIEW - and the price!!!

The location is good , the staff is helpful, the facility is good for backpacker !
The public bath is not much good ! The hot water is not hot enough when three use together!

We loved our stay here! The staff is super friendly and everything is clean! We especially loved the private Onsen that you can also use with your partner for no additional cost.
It’s really a picturesque place that I cannot recommend enough. A 100 year old beautiful typical Japanese Ryokan located directly next to a calm river and in walking distance to the beach and the Ito train station from where you can also go on day trips to do hikes along the coast (highly recommended) or visit the mountain.

Incredible. Beautiful old ryokan that is being lovingly kept up by the staff. Public and private onsen baths were the favourite ammenties during our hot summer stay. Altogether amazing.

A rare ryokan owner who speaks fluent English. The whole building looks like a protected building, and I really like the style, which makes me feel like I'm in a Miyazaki animation. The view of the river outside the window makes people feel calm. The location of the hotel is very good, the train station and bus station are nearby, and there is a food court nearby, so there is no need to worry about food. There is a laundry room.

This is a beautiful and tranquil ryokan that has a calming atmosphere. It backs to the river and our room overlooked it. There is also shared eating spaces adjacent to the river. It is extremely clean, has a shared cooking area with mostly everything you need to make your own meals. The onsen was incredibly relaxing and spa-like. There are also laundry facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is just a short 8 minute walk from the train/bus station. Our family of 5 (kids ages 7-13) absolutely loved it and would definitely return to stay here!! And the price for a ryokan/onsen is unbeatable. Plus, with the Jogasaki coast, Mt Omuro, Zoo and waterfalls, there is plenty to do on the peninsula and it’s easy to get around.
We loved everything!
Restaurants aren’t the best around here, but lots of izakayas if you like those.

Historical building that retained its charm yet furnishings are new and had all the necessary amenities.
The public bath/onsen was well maintained (looked very new)
The stairs
4.6
very clean and modern but authentic. right next to lots of restaurants, the staff were friendly and accommodating. the beds were comfortable. there were not too many guests when I stayed so the public onsen was like a private one
my bed didn’t have an adaptor next to it so I couldn’t charge my phone. if you have a large suitcase be aware that there are only stairs that you’ll need to climb.

Everything!

onsen bat, location, super clean and the atmosphere
futon could be softer

An historic charming ryokan. The wooden structure is just beautiful, you can feel the
history of the place. The common areas are well designed, watching the river from the sitting rooms while sipping a cup of tea it was a precious experience. There are also a free pretty private Onsen.Excellent value for money.

The building is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the single room is cute and cozy, and the onsen is amazing. Highly recommend!

The traditional building, facilities, location, staff, private onsens
The futons were a bit thin so it wasn't as comfortable as it could have been

One of the most beautiful hostels I’ve experienced in Japan!

really interesting and beautiful building.

Everything was perfect for me. The best ryokan experience with good cost performance. The house was very authentic and you can use the onsen even at night or early morning except when it's cleaning time.
4.6
I really enjoyed how beautiful and clean the place is, and of walking distance from Ito Station. The onsen is amazing and open 24 hours .
None. The place is exceptional.
4.6
Onsen is decent. The building looks fine even the wooden structure is more than a hundred years old. I like that there are many shops and restaurants nearby.
The facility is not perfect, but this is expected for a guest house

great central location.
I didn’t mind, but be sure to come within the check in time. the front desk closes at 9pm promptly
