The hotel was immaculate for cleanliness. Beautifully landscaped and most staff members were friendly. The breakfast option at the hotel was beneficial and had a good assortment of foods to chose from. 2 for 1 happy hour at the beach club.
The hotel beds were hard. The night we arrived we asked if there would an additional charge or problem having a 7 year old local resident come hang out with our son. The front desk workers asked supervisors and we were told no problem no extra charge. Next day at the beach club we were charged $400 pesos for the 7 year old and the lady at the counter said that what they told us the yesterday was not true. We ended up paying $1200 for the 7 year old and his dad. The front counter lady said we had $700 to use in beach club. However, the beach club tried a few different ways to rip us off with money. Lack of transparency and communication from the staff about pricing will most likely keep us from staying at this hotel. As consumers we like having things said and stated or posted up front so that there no surprises when paying.

The front desk staff is attentive, friendly and helpful (particularly Manuel). He really went above and beyond in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Location is great. You can walk or take a quick cab ride to and from most hot spots. After a long day of exploring, this is the perfect place to come to and rest. The beach club is a nice touch for days where you just wish to lounge. The overall cleanliness really seals the deal.
I did not appreciate the “check in” process for breakfast. Although there were some very nice servers, we felt rushed most days. I also had a staff member accuse me of having had breakfast twice in one day. The approach was all but professional.

The staff were so friendly, we had a lovely comfy room right by the pool. The breakfast was delicious! There was a little bit of renovation going out but it wasn’t noisy. One of the best parts was also the beach club that you got free access to, there was transport there and back every 30 mins. The drinks and food were delicious and right next to a beautiful quiet beach.
Like I say only the refurb made it slightly less perfect but I’m sure once it’s done it’ll be even more lovely.

Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Room service every day
Ac worked great
Firm but comfortable beds
Nice beach club
A solid 3 star hotel.
My mistake I didn't do enough research and didn't realize the beach club and the hotel are separate. Means you are not directly at the beach. But they have free shuttle every 30 min till 7 pm
-No hot water
-No fridge in the rooms.
-Shower curtain didn't help. Always water everywhere
-breakfast area is super small basically 3 big tables where everyone was sitting together.
-no bar and or restaurant in the hotel. Just a Fridge with soda and beers at the front desk
-no bars or restaurants with in walking distance
All together just not worth having 4 stars.

the beach club saved the stay for me. the staff here was competent, attentive and informed ( not the same experience at the reception)
5 min from the airport.
restaurant was closed for dinner. room service was available but one night all the phones were down, no elevators so you had to go down and order. lights in corridors/ hallway didn't come on till is been dark for maybe 2 hours. staff a bit confused about shuttle times. couldn't check me in for 2 consecutive days at once, because I had 2 reservations. wifi was down and allegedly they had to wait for the manager to get in to provide it.( is a phone call in my opinion)
3.0
The beach club was nice, but only available from 10am-6pm. The driver of the shuttle was very sweet and worked to make sure we didn’t have to wait long on either end to get down/up the hill. They gym was also basic, but nice to have. Basic free breakfast was included.
The staff was not easy to work with. They seemed a bit better in Spanish, but were very disorganized and it was hard to get a straight answer from anyone at the front desk. For example, it appears that all reservations are on paper, not the computer. The location is far away from the main area (Zicatela) and the restaurant is under renovations, which was unsightly and also made it so there were no food options anywhere nearby once breakfast was closed (at noon). The sheets were stained and the shower also flooded the whole room because the water was impossible to contain using the short curtain unless you kept the pressure to a dribble. If you’re just going for the beach club, we suggest you book alternative accommodations elsewhere and pay the $600 pesos admission.

The hotel was nice and we had an amazing time there. Staff was always super friendly and we had great time in the facilities of the hotel and the beach club. We loved it's so close to the airport and downtown.
The room seemed to be a bit more modern in the pics but it was okay.

The rooms are reasonably close to Playa Bacocho and Playa coral. But the beach club which is a 10 minute walk down a steep path is right on the best beach in town - bacocho beach. They even have a movie night at the beach club every Wednesday. The beach club has volleyball and pickle ball courts, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Loved it. The free breakfast buffet is awesome. Try the pumpkin flower and huitlacoche tacos.
The rooms are too outdated. The property needs a major upgrade. The air inside the room didn't feel fresh and the AC filters were dirty. Also the shower and bathroom fittings were very old.

The beach club was beautiful, and food + drink were reasonably priced
As everyone has said, the rooms are dated. The reason you come here is the beach club.

the beach club is great , and the have shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach club (10 mins walk)
staff was very rude, we arrived very early in the morning around 7am, usually they tell you to have breakfast as a compliment because check in is at 3pm, but they told us to pay for that day’s breakfast , and our included in the price breakfast will start from tomorrow ( I found it weird maybe I am wrong) + the shuttle bus goes every 30 mins but you have to wait more than that + our AC in the room was leaking all night and all my luggage with clothes, shoes got super wet and I had to dry it in the balcony , so I got the call that I can’t dry anything there, and when I explained the problem they didn’t even suggest to fix the AC , anyways I found staff very rude and not welcoming

The facilities are ok and the beach club is nice
The service and the staff are incredibly slow and inept in this place, even by Mexican standards. The service is okay-ish but far from efficient or welcoming and the ineptitude and lousy attitude of most of the staff working at the hotel and the beach club is overwhelming.
On our arrival date, we couldn't get a key because they had lost it, however instead of letting us know they gave us the wrong key and kept us waiting for about an hour before we could get into our room. Eventually, after we talked to several members of staff they finally admitted to not having a key. They were instead hoping for the cleaning lady to open the door for us, which of course she did.
The room didn't have sufficient towels for the number of people staying or drinking glasses or toiletries either, due to the issue with the key they couldn't clean our room during our second day of stay. They sent someone to make a copy of the cleaning's lady key, which somehow took all day to make. They didn't change our drinking glasses for clean ones or top up the jug with water for the five days we stayed there. Also, I had to specifically ask for toiletries and towels to get more.
The beach club is nice and in a good location, however, the staff is super slow and, to be honest rather rude. They promote happy hour but the quality of the cocktails is pretty poor and they are incredibly stingy with how they serve you, we order a cocktail that had a tamarind garnish but when we mentioned one of them was missing the garnish they said it only include one garnish because of the 241 'happy hour promotion'. How stupid!
It is unfortunately very sad to see that such a beautiful place with amazing beaches, food art and craft gets a bad reputation because of the lack of efficient service and because of the ineptitude of the people in charge.

The location was good-ish. The bathroom has a great shower. It’s big and lots of water pressure.
This hotel looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1970s. There are no elevators so getting luggage in and out is a pain. The rooms are ugly. Very basic.

The pool and hotel is in a lovely setting. Would highly recommend, lots of staff that can help with most things. Also the beach club is simply fantastic.
The bedrooms could have been updated.

this hotel is fantastic. the staff are attentive, clean rooms and fab location. The breakfast is varied and fresh - seen other reviews complaining but we found it great. the use of the beach club was brilliant, 5mins walk or shuttle bus from the hotel, clean and cool pool and right on the beach.

Very nice breakfast with various options including omelettes! The front desk staff was very efficient, responsive, helpful and friendly!
There were a few minor details in the room which were not addressed (lightbulbs needed replacing, lock and chain were broken-although lock was replaced once they were notified, but not the chain). However, the room itself and bed were very comfortable!

The beach club and access to beach with turtles. The staff at the hotel
The rooms were out of date and pretty average
