Top location and best host in Syracruse

Giovanni is a wonderful host, with nothing too much trouble. My room and terrace were large, with great air conditioning. So well located, with everything close by in this stunning part of the world, and his restaurant tips were superb. Great to compare French and Sicilian croissants for breakfast!

Superb

The overall atmosphere and location

Definitely unique place to stay. The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed. We also appreciated early check-in.

Magical

The B&B was super clean and very quant. You could not beat the location. But most of all our host Giovanni and Titi became our friends. My husband and I hated to leave . Our host helped us from the first minute we arrived until our last goodbye. A very magical place .

Great for a short stay but maybe pack your earplugs.

Giovanni was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfect having had a previous hotel that did enormous breakfasts so I was ready for simple. Nice roof terrace with our room which was spacious. Honestly bar and sitting room in the hotel.

The mopeds and cars made a bit of noise at times. The local restaurants emptied their bottles just as we were trying to get to sleep. The bathrooms could benefit from an update.

Ortigya is where you need to stay but shop around for accommodation

Good location and excellent host.

The booking we made didn’t include breakfast but Giovanni gave us un excellent coffee and croissant every day. Also you can order other items for breakfast or for snacks. He is very attentive and informative. The location is excepcional since we could walk everywhere. Close to the point to see the sunset and many others attractions.

Nice welcoming stay in Ortigia

Great location with nice charm. Giovanni was welcoming and gave as an overview of the area. And also received a larger room which was nice. Also arranged for early, early morning taxi which was appreciated.

More of a recommendation. Room had more classic charm and could be a little refreshed.

Charming and spacious room close to town

Gorgeous little hotel just a short walk from the waterfront, in a charming old building with high ceilings and exposed beams. Beds were very comfortable and our host was very helpful!

NIce place, staff, room and location but overpriced.

Friendly. Nice room. Good location.

Seemed rather expensive especially considering it was just a basic breakfast of coffee and croissant. Water not kept stocked up in communal room. No water in the bathroom on the last day. Internet kept dropping.

Pleasant, we’d highly recommend it.

Excellent location, rustic charm, well kept. Very nice, helpful and friendly owner Giovanni. We didn’t have breakfast included in our booking, but he offered us complimentary delicious croissant and coffee every morning we stayed.

There is no elevator, but, don’t worry, Giovanni will help you to carry your stuff.

Amazing b&b in the heart of Ortigia

The location is amazing, just a stroll away from Maniace Castle. Our room was huge and very clean. The whole place is in an antique building superbly renovated. Breakfast was not included woth our booking but we got it offered nonetheless. Definitely recommended.

The perfect place to stay in Syracuse

Palazzo Del Sale is the perfect place to stay in Syracuse. The rooms are beautiful, the host Giovanni is incredible, and the location is perfect. We could walk to everything in the old city & to the beach, paid only slightly more for valet parking instead of a public lot, and had a delicious breakfast every day. We will come back and stay here as soon as we can.

A gem in Ortigia!

We had a wonderful time staying at the B&B. The room was beautiful and spacious. Large shower with good water pressure. Excellent location. Delicious coffee in the morning and croissant. Couldn’t ask for more!

Amazing host, room and location!

Amazing location, super friendly and helpful host who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Room size was great for our family and baby cot bed was excellent! During these hotter days, we found it very helpful to come back and reset back in the air-conditioned room with our 1 year old. Would definitely recommend and stay here again when we visit. Thank you Giovanni!

Friendly host and great location

The decor in room was lovely and we loved our terrace. Giovanni was so helpful during our stay and recommended some really nice local restaurants. The location is great, close to the action but away from the very busy areas. We would highly recommend this place!

Exceptional

Great location in Ortigia old town, Giovanni was really helpful with hints and tips on where to go, what to see and where to eat and swim. Nice coffee and croissant for breakfast and the wonderful company of his two very well behaved dogs. The room and bathroom were lovely. This was easily the best accommodation we had on our trip around Sicily and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I cannot praise Giovanni highly enough. He arranged taxis,even gave me a cold beer after a hot journey. The room was amazing.
