The location was good, not in the center but very close.
The hotel wasn't clean. The facilities are not maintained.

The receptionist was extremely helpful. Courtyard and room lovely. Location excellent.
Nothing. Everything was fabulous.

Great location in the heart of the Ortiga, the historic area of Siracusa. Nice rustic courtyard outside apartment-style, basic but spacious room situated a few metres away from the main hotel building. Breakfast was typical continental fayre: breads and pastries, cold meats and cheese, juices, jams, yogurt and fruits. Eggs of choice offered and excellent coffee.
Reception only seemed to be open in the morning.

Very quiet location in a side street. It is an impressive looking building and the communal areas were clean, tidy and very well maintained. The breakfast was varied, ranging from cereals, meats and cheeses, pastries and cooked to order omelettes. We had a 2nd floor room with a balcony which gave a sea view over the houses in front. Our room had a kitchenette with a sink and an electric hob.
The room was “tired”. The wardrobe in the bedroom was kept shut by an elastic band, Some of the paint on the walls in the bathroom was flaking off. The shower attachment was broken and would only direct a water flow onto you if you attached a rubber band onto it and the holding bracket. Only one of the lights in the bathroom worked and the shower looked as if it should have had two doors instead of one. This led to large amounts of water ending up on the floor. We paid E480 for three nights and I think the self evident issues with the should have been sorted out for that price.

Loved staying in such an old building and very convenient to visit the historical places nearby. Had good recommendations on restaurants and ice cream shops. A very friendly town.
Nothing to complain about.

very quiet and historic. charming, they even put all of our family together on same floor. a must book.
beds were a little firm. but we did enough exploring to fall asleep anyways

Charming hotel away from the busier areas in Ortigia.

Ondina Maggiore and her husband were very gracious hosts. They only have the one rental on the second floor of their home. It was 3 big rooms in a historic home with a private bath. It is an older home with older furnishings. It was very clean and had a mini fridgerator. The breakfast was upstairs in their living quarters and they both served us our morning drinks of choice and had a table full of breads, sweets, yogurt, fruit, tomatoes, cheese and olives. The location was right as we drove into Risveglio Ibleo, so there were no issues of driving in this historic town of narrow roads and ZTL zones and we were able to park right in front of the door which was a bonus. It was close walking distance to everything.

The beds were very comfortable.
Rooms are huge
Location is great
The shower was broken
The hair dryer didnt work
The sink wasn't clean
The power socket was falling out of the wall
The reception suggested I had broken them

The area is undoubtedly very nice and central and surprisingly quiet at night .The building itself is beautiful and apartment is large and cool. Breakfast dining area pretty as is the courtyard entrance. Added bonus of it all being situated over the amazing Jewish bathhouse.
All the fittings in the apartment including the windows, furniture and most notably in the bathroom are very tired, broken or just grubby. Nothing of use in the kitchenette ie bottle opener etc. Tiled flooring everywhere means that there is a lot of noise from other guests. Rather mean breakfast.
0.5
very high standard of decor, ambiance and atmosphere
Over flowing cigarette butts in dirty rainwater filled ashtrays in courtyard.
Filthy plastic chair seats in courtyard.
Breakfast butter and bread in very short supply over the three breakfasts we had. ham and cheese and croissant, pastries had “DONT TOUCH” signs on the counter. No self service except marmalade and cereals.
It was reminiscent of British 1950’s school dinner line up. ALL WRAPPED UP IN POOR AND OFF HAND RUDE SERVICE.

great location. fantastic old authentic property. fit out is very simple but quite comfortable. beautiful courtyards.
not many facilities (e.g. bar etc).
4.0
Great location. The main building is nice but our room was a small apartment around the corner. It was spacious and with a balcony.
The mattress was not great and the bathroom although it was large had no place to put your things or hang a towel.
4.5
Excellent breakfast including Omelettes.
Juices were from a can, though.
Rooms were very large but dark. No tissues.
Convenient to Mikveh tour in same building.
Attracts a nice group of tourists. Hard beds; only a sheet for cover. Check in only until 8 pm when front desk person leaves.
Tissues, more lighting.Replacement of burned out bulbs.

The building and location were fab.
Apartment with kitchen, but not well enough equipped, no kettle and few utensils. Hardly saw any staff, only at breakfast so it's hard to rate them. Apartment could have been cleaner.

This building and location is magical. Our room was spacious and beautiful
When we stayed it was very hot, which made sleeping difficult. There was aircon but it was not in the bedroom. A simple portable electric fan would have solved the problem of how to cool down the bedroom for sleeping
5.0
Exquisite. Moving evidence of a thriving Jewish community driven out by the cruel Inquisition.
3.0
It has character, the building is lovely has so much potential but is run down. breakfast is very average and the staff are unfriendly. I loved our room with the sea breeze but it needs repair, toilet, shower and the door was impossible to open. However the linen was clean and fresh .

location and decor
bathroom shower too small and water hose fell down from the wall fixture.
