Saltcote place is absolutely stunning . The location is spectacular we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect setting for our 30th wedding anniversary. Alain and Paul are the most wonderful hosts , warm caring and attentive. We were very sressed as we had been let down by The Lookout and booking. com , who unbeknownst to us had cancelled our carefully planned stay . Paul called me straight away as aI booked one route to Rye . he was true to his word greeted us with a drink and made our potentially ruined trip into the most relaxed and memorable stay. thank you both you are lovely lovely people .
nothing ! it’s absolutely wonderful

Night cap a nice touch.
Paul and Alan made our stay perfect from start to finish.
Nothing to dislike!

Fabulous house on a grand scale. Utterly charming, friendly and conversational people for whom absolutely nothing was too much trouble - so very kind. Magnificent breakfasts (and more or less infinite choice). Small but indicative touches included umbrellas in a stand outside the room, bottled mineral water, complimentary chocolates, offer for us to leave our car where it was, between check-out and actual departure from the locale. Quiet at night, comfortable bed, large television in the room, the warmest of welcomes. One in a million.
We liked absolutely everything!

This is such a beautiful property, painstakingly and lovingly restored to its full glory by Paul and Alan. They were amazing hosts - in fact, the warmest, most welcoming hosts I have ever known throughout my travels and hotel stays!

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, Paul and Alan (the owners) couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. This is a fabulous property in a wonderful location, within walking distance of Rye and with stunning views over the countryside. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the breakfasts were amazing. All the little personal touches were the things that really made the difference - fruit and flowers in the room for example. Not just the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at, this was better than many of the hotels we have used and certainly more welcoming. A real treat!
Nothing - everything was exceptional.

This is a stunning place to stay; amazing views and an easy walk into Rye. The building itself is beautiful. The owners are great hosts; knowledgeable about the area, friendly and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the glass of fizz was icing on the cake! Also loved the nightcap in the evening. We stayed 2 nights and it was perfect!
There is nothing not to like. Our room was small but had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy!

Saltcote is a fantastic place for a few days Paul and Alan made us extremely welcome and attention to detail was much appreciated. Their house has been renovated to a very high standard and it must be amazing to attend a wedding there. The views from the back of the house are wonderful. We were very well looked after and I would highly recommend you consider a break there you won’t be disappointed😀
