It is perfect, the people are incredible, the location the best and the hotel was beutiful

Breakfast was spectacular. I was hooked on the Mole tamale. I had it every morning. Starting of breakfast with a cup of hot Oaxacan chocolate set the mood. A platter of fresh fruit was also like a bouquet of fresh and enticing flavors.
I wish the order of Mole Tamale came with two instead of one. But in all reality it was best they kept it at one.

Very nice staff, good breakfast. Also, very good location... actually almost "too downtown" because one can hear the street noise from the room (Oaxaca and its numerous roof-top-bars are quite noisy at night...)

Location and lovely staff
Bed had a plastic under sheet. Very hot ! Room had noisy a/c unit too near bed. No outside window.

This place is an absolute gem
Its right in the historic centre near all the rooftop bars and best reastaurants
It's setting and interior is very authentic but cool.
Above all the service and how accommodating every single person there is was outstanding.
It really felt as if you were staying at someone ypu knows place. Lovely people
Certainly recommend and will stay here again when we come back to oaxca city as its a magical place

The property is absolutely beautiful and lives up to its palatial name. we stayed in Roma suite which was huge, gorgeous and really clean. The service from start to finish was outstanding, the team couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel really special. would definitely stay again.

Top location right in the middle of the old town, amazingly friendly staff with a nice personal touch and big rooms. Simple but nice breakfast that can also be served on the roof terrace, with great views over the city.
Some rooms (like hours) are on street side and can be a bit noisy. I would also recommend to give the rooms an update of furniture and painting to freshen it up a bit.

Staff was professional, polite and helpful with everything we needed. The hotel is centrally located to walk to almost everything you would need in Oaxaca Centro. A good value for the money. Bed was firm but we liked it and was very comfortable.
Room could use a little TLC but that did not take away from our great experience.

Very nice Boutique Hotel but limited on amenities. (No restaurant or bar on property). Staff was excellent , helpful and always courteous. Location of Hotel to proximity of shops, churches, bars, & restaurants was perfect.
You needed pesos almost everywhere..hadn't planned on that so had to frequent the "exchange kiosks". To really enjoy this city properly, you need to have a fluent Spanish speaking person with you. !!

The hotel is beautiful. The breakfast is wonderful - included in hotel price is continental but with a breakfast menu with more options and very reasonably priced and delish!! Such a central location. Staff are amazing! We would stay here again without hesitation...in fact we would seek it out. We really enjoyed our room, and location. When we returned each time from walking around always offered a refreshing beverage. We were so fortunate to find this place and will be the place we stay at again if we return to Oaxaco.
The shower splashes over floor because the glass shield only goes half way and is not movable. - not really a big deal but a bit annoying. We know this is the new style because we see it many hotels but it's a silly design.

The facilities (main area, fountain, room decoration, corridors, etc) are really nice, you could think you are in the original Palazzo Borghese (Rome), but they are underused. Management photos are the real thing, (no point in us providing the same photos)
In summary, (see attached picture) we did not felt "welcome"; we had to "ring the bell" everytime we got back (be it morning, afternoon, evening) They were prompt in opening the door, but still, getting to a +5 star hotel with a "bucket of water" keeping the unused (by patrons) parking space, and nobody there to welcome you, to a dark, inconspicuos place (exterior lights are there, but were never turned on) is a NO-NO; maybe having the main desk visible from the street (and at the same time the main door from the main desk), but certainly they need to have the main door allways open (at least "bussines" hours), turn the streets light on, have somebody at the door to welcome you, and do fullfill everything they offer (both in publicity and in the information you are given upon arrival).

Location, terrace, light, staff, decoration, location again. And the view. And the terrace again.
Could be a bit noisy late at night from rooftop bars, but if you’ve had enough mezcal you wont notice it!

The location is great, and the sienna room was nice, plus hot shower with good water pressure, but I would still never stay here again and would highly recommend against it.
Main issue- 100% for sure someone stole money from my room. I know it’s possible to forget how much cash you have or what you’ve spent it on, but not in this case. A friend of mine gave me $1500 pesos in my room. We each counted the money at least once or twice. These were 5 blue $500 peso bills. I put them directly into my wallet. After that, my wallet did not leave the room. Someone went in to clean my room while I was having breakfast. After I finished breakfast (which by the way is not really included- will explain later,) I went back to my room. A key, from the cleaner, was left in the door knob outside-and the cleaner was no longer inside. So basically anyone could have gotten into my room, but because I was sitting at a table right outside of my room and there was hardly anyone staying at the hotel I think I would have noticed if someone else had walked by and gone in. Either way, 100% for sure, after that, $500 pesos were missing (plus the key was left in my door, so if I hadn’t gone back to my room after breakfast, anyone could have gotten in and taken whatever they wanted.) I was not going to say anything about it to the hotel staff because I knew whoever took it would not admit to it and I would most likely not get it back, but in the end I did say something simply to deter the person from stealing again in the future. Needless to say it was very uncomfortable, and basically no one believed me. In the end they gave me a palacio burghese Barbie doll as an “apology?” It was very strange, but I do hope the person who took the money thinks twice before doing it again. All that aside, the wifi barely worked, the first room I was in felt like a dungeon with no windows facing outside and smelling of cigarette smoke, and I’m pretty sure the “included” breakfast (which is not explained at all,) is just fruit- because that is the only thing I was ever offered. I ordered omelets instead and was charged for them on my way out.

Upon arrival, the two staff members on hand jumped into immediate action, bringing us coffee, answering our questions about local tours, transportation to the airport, etc. The hotel and our room were full of character. The location is unbeatable in Oaxaca!
