Superb room in a great location with a stupendous view. Warm and friendly greeting from the host who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was amazing (including a choice of 3 homemade cakes!!!) and she also left tea / coffee / liquers out for us in the evening. We would love to stay again.

Nestled in this picturesque village, the hotel presents an idyllic retreat, harmoniously blending with the historic charm of the surroundings. The traditional decoration of Casa de Padaria is a highlight in itself. Cleanliness is paramount at Casa de Padaria, and it shows. The room was impeccably maintained, with every corner spotless and well-organized. Breakfast at Casa de Padaria was another delightful experience.

My travel companion has gleten and dairy allergies. The hostess ensured a loveley breakfast that provided both of us with a range of options. She did not feel limited ir neglected-nor did I
We did ask for 2 beds but were given a queen. We are fussy sleepers so took turns on the floor. Even that was not horrible as extra bedding gave us an opportunity to make a bedroll. There are only 4 rooms so we took what was given.

Absolutely a gem of a small comfortable hotel in a very special place. Wonderful scenery, views from our window were beautiful. Our host was more than accommodating. Wonderful breakfast. Beyond expectations.
A visit to Piodao is spectacular in itself and adding a night at the Casa da Padaria just made our trip so memorable.
Not a thing.

First of all, Piadao was a nice surprise. A beautiful village with a fascinating history tied to great hiking trails. Our stay at Casa da Padaria only added to the intrigue. Casa da Padaria is impeccably maintained and our host was splendid and helpful. A simple breakfast set in pristine room. we highly recommend Casa da Padaria and Piadao for a little intrigue.

We visited at the end of February 2023. The weather was just right for me. There were warm days that began with extremely crisp cold mornings. It was so refreshing to open the window and breathe in clean air! What an incredibly beautiful town! So many mazes of quaint little pathways to walk through! So many bright blue windows and doors! I remarked to my daughter that kids would have an amazing time playing hide and seek through the town, all of it eventually leading to the main square. We loved learning about the location and it's history. We met so many wonderful people. Staying in the original Bakery was magical. Our hostess Gorete was so very friendly. The bakery belonged to her husband's family who then converted it into a bed and breakfast. It is so charming. The whole place was furnished with beautiful antiques, white linens and country decor. It was like stepping back in time. The washrooms were modern and very clean. We stayed for 2 nights, and our rooms were cleaned and beds made, after just 1 night! That is rare, and so unexpected. You feel like you have been welcomed into someone's home! The breakfasts were amazing! Continental is what I think they call it. Lots of baked goods, cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt, breads, fresh fruit, juice, coffee tea etc. What a feast!
No one warned me about the white-knuckle drive through the mountains to get to Piódão. I did it 30km all the way. It took me almost 3 hours! The hairpin turns and narrow roads were overwhelming for me at times. No fault of the town or it's incredible people, but it's important to know that it is the only way in...and the only way out. Well worth the drive though!

The authentic home that was so well adorned and maintained. The home smelled so nice and inviting when you walk inside. The breakfast was beautifully presented on the table and the host, Goreti, was a pleasure to meet. I highly recommend and appreciate everything about my stay. I am already looking for to my return.

Location, owner's friendliness, breakfast offerings, spotless accommodations and views of the town from our room.
The soundproofing between rooms was an issue as our neighbours on our second night were very loud and you could easily hear them through the walls at a late hour. .
Granted the home is a very old building so this may be unavoidable.

Charming old house in the middle of the village, extremely clean, very well maintained with beautiful views of the valley surrounding the property
