Good location and helpful staff
No hairdryer and rather soft mattress

Great location for British Museum. Very quiet location. Friendly staff

Uitzicht op de tuin. Ruime kamer.
Om 11.00 uur wordt de kamer automatisch afgesloten bij uitchecken. Beetje onpersoonlijk.

Location
Please note that this is a student hall of residence used as short let during non-term time.
Finding the exact location of reception in such a large complex was difficult. In the morning finding the exit took me half an hour. I nearly missed my flight. The place is like a maze.
4.3
The room generally is comfortable, the bed, the desk, the shower room.
The location is very good; a perfect location.
1. The fridge is terrible, not cold enough even though I put it to the strongest. My milk became sour three days before it was due.
2. There is no hairdryer, be sure to bring one for yourself.
3. No public kitchen facilities (pans for example) in public kitchen, so be sure to bring your facilities if you want to cook for yourself.
4.3
Clean and quiet.

Beautiful, spacious place and refectory on site. Fridge.
Prevented from closing the window when it was chilly and windy.
Not able to make a cuppa in the room.
4.3
It is what it is - a hall of residence. It is far from palatial and the bed was not particularly comfortable. But it’s a lovely building in a good location and reasonably priced.
4.3
Great value for money. Beautiful gardens. Clean room and bathroom.
Could have done with one more pillow

Living in Scotland I arrived at Kings Cross, so the easily walkable location was ideal. The Square is remarkably peaceful. From the College I could walk to other places on attractive routes, such as Lambs Conduit Street/Great Ormond Street.
I had breakfast, evening meals and one lunch at the College. The food was excellent. My room was spacious and clean.
There are (rightly) a lot of fire doors and access control doors with strong closure mechanisms. My room was near a buttery which was well-used in the evening. Together there was quite a lot of loud door noise, although fortunately it did not persist through the night and I slept quite well.
Am armchair would have been welcome, but I was able to sit in Freddie's Bar to read one evening.

I had a great room, it was really spacious, and overlooked the amazing courtyard. The college is also in an amazing location and a very beautiful halls of residence. And it was surprisingly quiet.
the restaurant staff were unfriendly when they realised I was a short stay and they didnt have very good options for people with allergies.

spacious, clean, comfortable

I am a mature single traveller and I felt really comfortable and safe here. Loved the breakfast/dining/dinner and bar. 24/7 reception. Small fitness centre and pool adjacent. Nuffield Health.
Nothing. Its a uni college. Post graduate students from around the world busy studying and connecting.

Location was great, as was the size of the room and price for London. Having a female floor was a bonus and a lift very helpful, as was the sink in the room.
Despite it being the first night of Freshers Week there was not much noise - some in the distance and the odd door slamming/conversation.
Plenty of room to repack suitcases. Grateful there was heating as it was a cool night. Appreciated the window being open on arrival to let in fresh air.
Also appreciated the toiletries.
Would definitely stay again if I needed to be in the area.
One of the toilets was blocked but that was due to another user.
Bedside lamp didn’t work so I reported it on checkout - another lamp worked so wasn’t an issue.
Be aware that it is a hall of residence so there may be others who don’t realise it is considerate to close the fire door to their room rather than let it close by itself.
4.3
The Place itself is unique.
And the fact being a student for a couple of nights living the vibe of an English college was fantastic!
Nothing!

A good size room for a single person, well equipped with a desk, closet and bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location halfway between St Pancras station and the City is very good and quiet with a park in front of it. I perceived no noise from the other guests (postgraduate students). I didn't take advantage of the dining hall which is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Street noise from people talking in front of the building and parking cars enters the room through the single pane windows. More importantly these windows will need replacement for a better thermal insulation in the light of climate change.

Beautifully and centrally located on Mecklenburgh Square, good size room with desk, helpful staff and nice cafe/bar space.
The shared bathrooms were frequently out of order...
4.3
The room was much bigger than I expected with a sink in the room and the bathroom out in the hall. The internet was reliable and fast. Good to do some work as there is also desk in the room. The building has great atmosphere. The staff was friendly. Really good price for the location.
The showers could be nicer but they do the job.

clean
next to noisy common bathroom
4.3
lovely staff convenient location good price
noisy neighbours kept me up till I complained at 3am
4.3
It was close to kings cross
Large desk
The shower was broken had to tell reception on second day to get repaired, the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly. No soap in bathroom.
The mattress was not of good quality and only one thin pillow was provided.
The mini fridge would intermittently make very long buzzing all the time and kept me awake.
On first day with windows open could smell cigarette smoke.
Late afternoon on first day a lady let herself into my room.
Whoever above kept getting up all night thumping around. Slept very poorly.
4.3
The location is convenient for traveling by train.
The room was rather run down. Clearly used. Dirty walls, damages in the bathroom, rather smelly toilet and the like. Pretty noisy too, with people below the window in the middle of the night.
4.3
People were great, location is great, buildings are lovely.
Cafeteria/Great Hall are great.
Terrific value for money.
Mattress was terrible -- cheap/spongy.
Pillows were like rocks.
i'm guessing they could upgrade this pretty cost-efficiently and satisfy customers enormously.
4.3
Great location, nice room

honestly , this place was superb for price location etc . staff were really helpful and building itself is lovely
nothing

Easy to find - within walking distance of Kings Cross - quiet location - secure premises - nice sized room & bathroom - able to leave luggage before & after check in
room was a bit hot in August for sleeping due to large window & south facing - could do with a blind
