You cancelled my booking. With very little time to rebook. We were going to a family wedding. You have not refunded me or offered compensation
The way you treat your customers. And don't care how it effects them

All I asked was good and the staff were really helpful
I had a dog and tried to find a place for her to relieve herself and went behind the hotel where I met a rat!! Quite tame! So I found other places along the side of the road instead!

Very nice Staff, unfortunately the rear elevation neighbouring storage area for Highways Vehicles was noisy with a generator throughout the night
The 10 ounce Rump Steak was very disappointing in it presentation, a 5 year old could have presented it better. The Chef is obviously in need of some additional courses in food presentation.

Very comfortable room, staff were great, especially reception. Good food and a decent craft beer. Well located for our stopover en route from East Kent to Argyle.
A draught beer would have been an advantage, the handpump wasn't in use.

the room was great
The breakfast on the second morning was awful compared to the breakfast on the first morning which was freshly cooked.

A very warm welcome from a lovely helpful receptionist. Room was clean and as expected and very quiet despite being close to a dual carriage way. Plentiful buffet breakfast
The evening meal. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday night having reserved a table for 6.15pm. Menu was basic and limited but as expected at a Best Western as we weren’t expecting Michelin star standard. We were only diners when we entered the restaurant. After 10 mins the waitress took our order of fish and chips for both of us. After 10 minutes she returned to tell us that fish and chips were off tonight. After another 10 minutes she returned to take our revised order, we ordered chilli con carne. we waited 15 minutes and she then returned again and said this was off tonight as well. we don’t know why she didn’t know these items were unavailable, maybe she wasn’t on speaking terms with the ‘chef’ the other side of the kitchen door? I then ordered ‘pie of the day’ which she said was steak and kidney, my wife ordered vegetarian pizza. The restaurant now had 2 other groups of 4 who were ordering food. Our meals arrived at 7.25pm.. 70 minutes after we had entered the empty restaurant. Having not eaten dice midday I was hungry… to say I was disappointed by what I saw on my plate was an understatement. In fact I am not exaggerating when I say it was the worst plate of food I have ever been presented with in 50 years of eating out all over the world. Any chef would have been ashamed to send it out to a paying customer, indeed I am not a chef but if I had cooked it for a member of my family I would have thrown it in the bin even if my son was begging for his dinner! My plate consisted of chips which were soggy and cold in the middle, there were no vegetables (I think it had peas stated on the menu?) but my real concern was the pie. The pie of the day was obviously the one that had been left at the back of the fridge by accident for a month. iIt was not a homemade pie but a poor quality very cheap mass produced one. I think maybe the late arrival of the food maybe was because the chef had forgotten the pie was cooking as it cremated on top.

perfectly situated as a stop over whilst travelling the length of the a1. lovely and clean, friendly staff. comfortable bed.
staff shortages meant no room service or evening meals as we’d expected to be tired from travelling I’d chosen somewhere I thought we could totally chill for the night. as it was we ventured out to a local pub and had a nice meal before returning.
although advertised as dog friendly there was nowhere to exercise the dogs which had been stuck in the car nearly all day and not even a bowl of water outside.

The restaurant was closed.

The room we had the mattress was shocking and had a spring sticking into your ribs.
We had to ask for a change in room but the mattress should never have got passed house keeping

I liked that the staff were doing the very best that they could is what were very difficult circumstances. I like that they accept pets and probably would use this hotel again if I needed to.
I didn't like that I was told that the air con didn't work when it did. I hated the fact that I couldn't open a window.

staff were so friendly and was so convenient
little bit outdated but other than that nothing
