Gemütliches Hotel mit gutem Restaurant.

Gut für einen Zwischenstopp auf der Durchreise. Gemütliche Bar bzw. Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Eigene Parkplätze. Gutes Frühstück gegen Aufpreis.

Das Badezimmer war sehr warm, obwohl keine Heizung an war. Wir waren ganz oben einquartiert. Vielleicht verlaufen da Rohre in der Wand, die heißes Wasser führen.

La habitación estaba bien, pero el cuarto de baño sucio como si no se hubiera limpiado del huésped anterior ya que había hasta la tapa de una cuchilla que no era nuestra en la bañera. El cuarto de baño lleno de telarañas y arañas. Tazas sucias.

Everything we needed was there for a restful few days.

The room was a good size for a short stay. Very quiet to say we were near a main road. Good breakfast. Good menu choice for evening food.

Just disappointed as it was advertised as 4*

Breakfast was good

5 flights of stairs up to room. Hard work at our age. Dinner was disappointing. Annexe was not advertised on website which would have been more suitable for us.

Bar closed at 11.05 on Saturday night, even though there was a wedding still going on in the function room, which then kept me awake until 12.30

Excellent food efficiently served.

Staff very helpful in organising a gathering of 27 people.

Conservatory out of action which meant we had to be in the function room.

Good but got woken up by either and intentional or mistake Fire Alarm by 9:50

there was a Fire Alarm at 9:50 that woke us up and I was not happy about that.

Odd places, such as hotel rooms, are the best to perform art.

Located just above the restaurant, this hotel wasn't short of anything exceptional. During the evening, I nipped downstairs, went for a pint and just 1 minute away, was able to access my room. The next morning we were relatively late to breakfast, our own stupidity not checking the breakfast timings. Fortunately, their staff were able to accomodate our breakfast needs and draft us up an amazing all day breakfast - A breakfast that I can compare to ambrosia, the food of the gods. I’d highly recommend it to anyone. (Bonus points for the sausages!)

At some point during the late evening, it got a little rowdy downstairs. Understandable due to its location above a restaurant.

Staff were Fantastic

the staff were fantastic, could not be more helpful , but as a company you are letting them

Firstly when i booked this with Booking.com the price was £261 after i booked, you suddenly wanted another £20 ,Which is fine as long as everything you promise on you advert is true, supposed to be free wi fi but there was NONE at all while we were there, so i think you owe me £20 as i could not access it for my work.

Comfortable stay and I will be back again.

Rooms are clean and spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding so much choice. Evening meals are really nice and good value for money. Staff are lovely will do anything for you. I will be now using this as my place to stay for work trips.

I was on the ground floor of the out building and the sound proofing is not great. Need to install the soft close on the main doors to stop them banging when people leave rooms and the transfer of noise through ceilings is quite loud. The Wifi on the ground floor was non existent in comparison to my previous week where I was on the 1st floor and it was absolutely fine. Next time I will be asking for a 1st floor room to avoid the noise.

Okay for a short stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was fine for a 1 night stay for a wedding close by. The breakfast was okay.

The bathroom needed upgrading, there was a horrible drain smell in there.

Front of house staff very friendly and helpful. Quiz was enjoyable. Room in main building better than annex

Food was disappointing on both stays. Front of house staff having to make up for lack of kitchen staff's skills unfortunately.

Superb

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was huge. Room was modern and nicely decorated. We purchased breakfast from the restaurant which was delicious. Ample free parking

No busses on a Sunday and was hard to book a taxi into Selby.
