Very good! Would stay again! Nice hotel and great location.

Location was great, with being only a short distance to drive to all the places we wanted to visit - approx 20 minutes to Beamish Museum and about the same to the Bridges Shopping Centre. It was lovely seeing the horses nearby each day as we were driving in and out of the hotel! The Breakfast was fine, although the veggie breakfast could have been a little bigger but it was nice! The staff were friendly and the hotel being all on the ground floor level suited us perfectly with a family member having a disability, it made the whole hotel so accessible which was ideal. There was plenty of parking available as well which was good! Overall very good and we would stay again.

Only a few little things that could be improved, as overall it was a very good stay! In our room, we struggled to put any plugs into the sockets above the shelf attached to the wall (where the tea and coffee is left) as the plug sockets were too close to the shelf to actually be able to fit a plug easily but there was an extension lead on top of a set of drawers so there is the option to use. No socket for an electric razor so we had to purchase an adapter plug but this has been the case in a few hotels.

It’s cosy, quiet and the staff were 10/10. The food in the pub is amazing and worth every penny.

Friendly staff lovely hotel.

Need to sort post code out as it was taking us to the housing estate drove around for a long time finding you. Had to go home Sunday early as I was ill all night being sick. could have breakfast gutted if I paid for my breakfast it wasn't refunded.

Probably the best hotel in the North East... just keep it quiet ;-)

Forget about the comfortable rooms and bar serving delicious food and drink. The staff are by far and above the best thing about Bowes Incline Hotel. From the warm welcome, to the friendly farewell, the staff could not do enough for us. The banter starting within the first few hours, and continued throughout, as though we were regulars.... and we may just become that. An annual stay has already been discussed. So, that is fair warning for Eden... who needs a special mention, for not just putting up with the cheek, but ensuring our stay was so enjoyable.

Nice modern room and bathroom. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful . In a nice location . Food both on the evening and for breakfast was well cooked and tasty. The price for one evening, including breakfast, was good value .

exceptional. the best hotel I’ve stayed in and tremendous value.

the location is ideal for the business trips I make. the staff are exceptional, the food is outstanding and you are treated very well. best hotel I’ve stayed in and will only stay here from now on.

nothing bad at all. just a word of warning that food is stopped at 8pm. absolutely not a criticism, just something to note when planning your check in.

The bed needs to be bigger , and the mattress & pillows needs to be more comfier. . Mine & my husbands backs have died .

We experienced difficulty with locating the hotel , the post code takes you to an incorrect location , use the hotel name , another direction sign would be useful.

Good stop for a visit to Newcastle, Durham, or Beamish Museum

nicely presented pub/hotel. Very clean and modern bedroom with excellent shower in the bathroom. Very good food in the restaurant and substantial breakfast

A bit difficult to find. Satnav can’t find it by using the post code. Suggest leaving the A1M towards Washington /Springwell then look for the sign to Wrekenton. Follow the road towards Wrekenton for about a mile, then look for a small sign to the left to the hotel which is then another mile down a narrow track

We have used this hotel a few times now on our way to and from Scotland and will do so again

Considering the hotel is just above the motorway it is very quiet. Nice sized rooms and very clean with very comfotable beds. There is quite an extensive menu and you get man sized portions. The cooked breakfast is very good and will set you up for the day.

Nothing of note with the Hotel. Depending on your Sat. Nav. finding it may be a problem, this is not the hotels fault. Give them a call and they will put you right

Excellent value; clean, comfy rooms; lovely staff; top food!

We stayed in room 8 which was absolutely spotless. It had a comfy bed and the shower was lovely. We stayed B&B, and the breakfast was plentiful (though not piping hot). We ate in the pub both nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu is extensive and the portions are huge, making it particularly good value. On the second night we had the Christmas Fayre, which was very good. Despite being so near the A1 it was very quiet, and about 15 mins walk / 2 mins drive away there are three more good pubs as well as some valuable (but sadly neglected) railway and UK heritage sites (the lower part of Bowes Railway; Shaden’s Hill). All in all we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

The rooms are lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely group of staff.
