Very helpful staff. Good food - evening meal and breakfast

Big comfy bed and nice sized room

Disappointed by the lack of choice, booked table for evening meal in advance. Hardly anything on the menu was available. Lovely waitress, manager resolved issues. Rooms and communal areas very tired, in need of TLC.. Good breakfast. Minor issues need looking at. Otherwise comfortable stay, friendly staff

The location was good for our family meet up .
It’s very tired and needs an overhaul not just a coat of paint . In our bedroom the ceiling was water marked and the corridor outside had a particular smell . Room was very hot and bathroom basic .

As ever great staff - specially Debbie on reception Luke and the lovely assistant manager whose name I can't remember (sorry) in fact everyone who works there is lovely, welcoming and helpful.

The sheets were clean and the location was very close to the wedding venue we were visiting.
We were expecting it to be a bit noisy as this is a room over a pub but the music was so loud it felt like we were in a club and impossible to sleep until the music stopped when the pub shut. Then in the morning there was construction outside our room starting at 8:20am so an awful night's sleep. The view from the window was just scaffolding which was fine but there were workmen stood on it so couldn't have the curtains open when getting ready as we were face to face with them (this was a Saturday morning). The bathroom was really old and the bath didn't drain well so it filled up with water whilst showering and was really slippery. There were bath mats available from reception but by the time I got in it was too late. There was never anyone at reception and apart from the guy who checked us in they all seemed frustrated to have to come to the desk. Breakfast was also poor but very cheap so you get what you pay for.

Proximity to venue (event held in function suite) which was an ideal sized room and layout and would be recommended for small parties etc. Pleasant staff.
Let down by facilities. In terms of the stayover part of the visit, bedroom was great in size but the quality of all furnishings, fittings and finishes very poor, basic mis-matched in decor. Musty room (unsurprising based on property age), but old windows drive damp and poor noise mitigation from main road traffic resulting in poor sleep. Broken toilet seat (and safety issue) in a hospital-like standard, no frills bathroom. Uncomfortable bed = poor quality of sleep.. Breakfast took forever to arrive and then sub-standard in taste and presentation. Same comments for all 3 rooms in my booking so not room specifically. My individual room was next to main entrance of building which also incurred noise relating to guests passing through. Paid circa £300 in total for one night family stay and not value for money benchmarked against better budget options.

Fine for a couple of nights, a good location to be able to pop in to B’ham city centre.
Traffic noise with having a room at the front on the main road and rowdy clientele from the public house next door.

I booked and paid for a family room but on arrival was given a double room. I was told no family room was available. I am still waiting for the difference in cost to be paid into my bank account

Have stayed here several times and it's comfortable and affordable, ideally located on Coleshill's high street. The rooms are generally well equipped, akin to a Travelodge, albeit they could probably use a little TLC.
Half of the rooms are across the road from the main pub building. We had a room on the ground floor at the front of this separate building and we found the road noise quite disruptive on this visit, and the wooden bedframe was very creaky so we woke each other up every time we rolled over!

The bedroom was furnished well with a comfortable large bed.
The breakfast was good and freshly cooked.
The bathroom was very basic and old fashioned, quite a contrast to the bedroom.
The bar was closed at 9.15pm when we returned to the hotel after eating in the town. Fortunately the manager agreed to one drink.

Room extremely hot - but so was the weather!! However, a fan was provided which helped.

Fantastic welcome from all the staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Handy parking next door and Coleshill is a good location for all the sites in the Birmingham area.
