I had booked primarily on location and was pleased to find the accomodation to a high standard. The staff and the facilities were excellent; the rooms are over a pub so a little noise is expected on an evening. My only teeny tiny gripe would be that there was no milk in my room for coffee in the morning (that said I'm sure if I had asked for it, it would have been provided with a great smile!)

Perfect location right in the centre
Friendly staff
Decor a little tired. Only one pillow per person. The room was a little too warm
Tiny shampoo but no shower gel
Shower wasn’t the best
No dairy free alternatives

Really friendly staff, lovely bar/restaurant. Breakfast was good. Rooms lovely.
Even though a lovely room few things require attention.

Very well kept and spacious room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean and uncluttered, and a big, comfortable bed. Surprisingly big bathroom as well.
My only comment here is about communication. We had to ask our taxi driver how to get back into the hotel when we returned late - it wasn't clear if we should be using the front door or one of the rear doors. Not a huge issue (it didn't take long to work out) but it would have been useful to know rather than having to see which doors actually had a keyhole to try. When we did find the right door, it did have a "residents' entrance" sign, but this wasn't visible in the dark.

Really nice room above a pub in the middle of Whalley. We used as a base to meet friends for a night out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were dealt with promptly. Really lovely big breakfast. Would stay again

Staff excellent. Very comfy bed and good bathroom facilities. Very good breakfast
Address on website shows Clitheroe when it is actually Whalley. It worked out well for us but misleading and could be a problem for someone else

Once we got to The Swan, it was easy to check in and the room was exceptionally large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, a small selection of cereals, 3 juices to choose from, fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast, coffee/tea was made specifically for you. Good service from the staff.
Our room was directly over the bar so it was quite noisy until it was closing time (would expect this anyway but thought I’d mention it) but once the doors closed it was really quiet considering it’s on a pretty main road through Whalley.
We phoned the hotel to confirm our stay and say that we may be late as we were attending a wedding nearby but the hotel has changed its phone number and it hasn’t been changed on the website etc. it is also no longer part of the Vixen Group who we kept being put through to.

Sharon and the staff were so friendly and helpful, despite the bar being very busy they made sure we were able to eat.
The food was exceptional, especially Breakfast!
Definitely recommend staying here.
Taxi's are expensive if you need to go into Clitheroe.

Central location and easy to get to, staff were lovely and breakfast was yummy.
Was really nice to stay somewhere with lovely people.
Band kicked off in the pub with no warning on the Saturday night. Totally get there is entertainment but would have been nice to have a heads up. No sleep til after midnight was not fun.
Stairs to rooms are really grubby and need a clean.
It was so warm in the rooms with no sign of a fan or anything, had to open the door to just get a cross breeze.
