We had a fabulous time staying at Smithy Cottage

Cosy, well-equipped, very clean, great location! Loved it!

Bed was quite small and a bit uncomfortable, toilet seat broken other than that was perfect with so many positives 👌

Lovely rural location, cosy cottage, excellent amenities.

Cute and cosy for an autumn/winter break. Excellent amenities, everything thought of in terms of kitchen equipment (although not detailed in full on booking.com so potentially underselling itself).

Could benefit from a lock on the bathroom door. Although mentioned guest book, a sign on the way up the stairs to remind you to duck would be good (there was a sign on the way down, but not up).

Lovely homestay in a wonderful location, with exceptional hosts.

Very easy and convenient, clearly very well thought out. The welcome hamper on arrival is a really nice gesture and it's good high quality treats as well! The rooms and the layout is well thought out given the space. The perfect spot for two people!

The only improvement could have been the WiFi. We weren't here to spend lots of time online so it's hardly and issue, plus the location might make it tricky to have good WiFi but that was the main thing. Second to this, the TV could do with an upgrade. The DVD player didn't work and it's generally a bit slow but again, it was barely used so it's a minor issue.

It,s on quite a steep hill, though there is nothing the owner can do about that.

Lovely long weekend stay

The property was very clean, and in a great location for hiking straight from Bradwell or walking to nearby towns. We loved it and want to come back!

The WiFi was a bit spotty and my husband (who is 6ft 3) found the bed a bit too short however these were extremely minor points as we loved our stay!

Great stay, lovely break.

Great location and easy to get the keys. Comfortable and cozy accommodation. Very clean and well maintained. A very enjoyable property to stay. Nice garden to sit and have evening drinks

The wifi was very week. We were provided a mobile number to call if we had any questions, we did so we called and sent SMS never had any response which was frustrating.

Superb

Great spot for a couple to have a quiet getaway. Everything just right, and loved the basket of goodies left for us when we arrived. The only downside was that there were only a few towels for a 10 day stay, and no way to do laundry. Using the same towels for 10 days got a bit tricky!

Superb

Although a small cottage (mind your head coming down the stairs!) it packed in absolutely everything you could possibly need. The cottage was warm and cosy all day, a very comfy bed, great to have a bath at the end of the day’s walking and the kitchen was fully fitted out, even cling film and sandwich boxes were provided. The welcome pack (and ice cream in the freezer!) were brilliant too!

Nothing really. The only thing we weren’t 100% sure of was which was out outdoor space at the back of the house, other than the shed.
