Staying at sunbay hotel

The services were nice, especially the pool and breakfast

I didn't like that because they noticed im from the region (Caribbean) they weren't gonna extend any services to me like they did other guess. One of the cleaners was so rough in cleaning the room that she broke the glass mirror. I also didn't like that they kept on asking me what room i was in because i didn't have a foreign( uk, American)accent or looked the part. It was annoying and somewhat disrespectful cause it was only me they asked these questions

Staff is really kind and helpful

Hotel is too old. For that rooms are not at good condition. And they are not clean.

Grateful for the staff during unexpected stay due to hurricane Beryl

All of the staff at Sunbay are exceptional- really above and beyond to help. Room was comfortable and clean; grounds are pretty and well maintained.

Overall it was fairly good. Definitely room for improvement though

The grounds are beautiful

I requested room service at 11a.m and I never got it till 7p.m. The fridge in my room was noisy. More noticable at night when its wad quiet.

pool bad shape breakfast so so

no hot water - no WIFI in rooms 208 and 209 - one day no water at all - beds where verry uncomfortable, old hotel need major maintenance and upgrades.

Rooms were clean staff was pleasant.

No hot water at times, request an ironing board never got it. All in all the hot water thing was the worst.

This is with no exceptions the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced and mostly because of the rude staff.

Nothing exceptionellt for the pool area

The location, the rooms. The staff was horrible. I think Booking.com should block this hotel because so many travelers have had the same experience. it’s expensive and not even close to match the price, the water isn’t working and worst of all is the staff. They are rude, condescending and even mean. They look bothered even if you ask in the nicest way to please have a towel. Also they add an outrageous extra fee to the price which isn’t what you see when you make the reservation through booking.

Superb

The staff at the hotel were exceptional couldn't desire better...my dad did an operation and everyday up to the day we were leaving they were so concern about him....I definitely recommend here to anybody

Disappointing

Staff try to be friendly. Sometimes it works.

Shower didn't work proper, breakfast is a joke, internet connection works from time to time. Price not in relation to services.

The food was good

Our room wasn't cleaned once, the bins were flowing over, and the toilet paper was very low, we mentioned it to reception told them that we were going out about 11am, she said she'll send someone along about 11.15, on arrival back in the evening about 6pm the room hadn't been done, I immediately went to reception but no one was there I waited for about 5 minutes when the security guard asked if I needed any help I explained our predicament he kindly said leave it with him a few minutes later there was a knock at our door it was the security guard with bin liners and toilet rolls he also kindly took the rubbish away he showed excellent customer service not the hotel!!

Given quaranteening requirement it was fine except for price of food.

We stayed at Beach Club, not SunBay because Sunbay was closed. Our room was not ready so manager suggested that we eat at Buffet while waiting for the rooms to open. Being hungry after a 8-hour flight and ground processing, we gladly followed his suggestion. The buffet was adequate - a variety of foods but we arrived at the end of the serving period so not a great variety to choose from. We took what we could get. Then the bill came: $37 per person!! I found this very expensive for what we received, but there was no contesting the situation. Rooms were fine and staff was fine too. NIce location on ocean with pool. Would go there again but would negotiate food service.

It was a lovely stay

All meals

Having to bring your food to the table and cannot take up food and no sanitizer bottles. The tables were not sanitized before and sfter each meal.More staffing is required.

Nice staff, ok room and pool. Try out the pizza restaurant a 2 min walk away.

Room was large, facilities what you'd expect for a 3* hotel. Staff nice. short walk to the beach.

Breakfast wasn't great at all. The staff were lovely but food and beverage options poor and expensive.
