Friendly , comfortable well worth a visit

Beautiful building lovely owner and gorgeous dog. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked

Too many stairs we did want a ground floor room, due to a mix up through booking.com advertising the room was there. The poor owner never had one she did offer us a partial refund. Just hope booking.coms misinformation can be sorted so no other customer falls into that trap. I must stress the lovely lady has being trying to rectify this. but the place was beautiful

Comfortable stay. Very welcoming. Amanda is a dog owner but the dog was not a problem.

Good full English Breakfast and fruit option. Although on a main road, it was not noticeable.

A relaxing , most enjoyable short break.

Breakfast was excellent. Amanda assisted by TRUDI was an excellent host we enjoyed everything about Ambles…… the welcome, feeling we were home from home, relaxation and the real bonus for me was definitely was TRUDI . We have every intention of visiting again .

Lovely stopover

Although my stay was a short one I found the room very comfortable clean and I felt very welcome and the facilities were plentiful. In the morning the breakfast was freshly made at a time of my choice. The owner is very pleasant and will make your stay as relaxing as possible. Personally I would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Amanda.

Great.

I liked the location, I was born not far from the property and it was nice to be home again. it is a great location for exploring Northampton, walk in to town center in 15 minutes or so. The owner is really friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like and will stay again.

Wonderful friendly and helpful host....Amanda. Very homely location. Fantastic room and breakfast.

Unfortunately the radiator in my room wasn't working during my stay.....a temporary situation. However the gas fire and room heater helped warm the room. Other than that everything was perfect!

We left on a high note, especially when Trudy the dog also waved us goodbye. We’ll certainly be back again.

Amanda’s hospitality was exceptional. The room was (along with the dining room) beautifully decorated, very comfortable and had a beautiful fire.

We liked all of it.

A great place to stay for a function at the cricket ground. Would stay again.

A warm welcome from the host - nothing was too much trouble. Spacious, clean, well-appointed room with a comfortable bed and all the expected amenities. Fantastic breakfast in a friendly dining room.

It was exactly what I required.

I was totaly happy with the whole experience. As a previous visitor had commented the bathroom was large and good.

The accomodation was good and the location was opposite a park and I did not notice the traffic although on a busy road, There were many resteraunts within a short walking distance,

Cheap and cheerful

Nice touches such as a bathrobe and slippers - lovely big bathroom. Good breakfast

Quite noisy from the road at night and curtains don’t cover windows so headlights flashing.

Perfect for my one night visit - a proper guest house 👍

Easy to find & parking on site. Easy 20 minute walk into town. Lovely friendly welcome from Amanda (lovely lady) and great breakfast. Would certainly return.

The b&b was a old victorian house, lots of rooms, and large bathroom, bath was lovely and deep, breakfast good, the only criticism would be the leather sofa dumped on road near the drive, first impression wasn’t good

Amazing room and facilities with such a friendly atmosphere

Amazing facilities with friendly staff, nearly slept in as the bed was so comfortable!!

I didn't like that I couldn't lock the door of the room when I left to go out for tea. I didn't feel like my valuables were in danger as the home felt like a home from home. Just think it would be better if I could of lockd the door

Pleasant stay for 1 night.

Very welcoming host Amanda and her dog. It felt very homely and our bed was comfortable. We weren't sure about the parking when we arrived as it was a bit tight but were reassured all was well by Amanda and we didn't have any issues. We liked the location for the event we were attending and that we could come back at a late hour without feeling bad. The breakfast was very tasty with made to order eggs.

There was no lock on our bedroom door (internal/external) No milk for a nightime or early morning brew.We had foreseen this when out but couldn't buy any late at night so went without. Little uht milks or a mini fridge would have been a nice addition to the teas and coffee selection. The communal dining with big central table to sit at with other guests to have breakfast was a bit awkward. Luckily we had been to the same event so we could make small talk.

Friendly, welcoming, helpful owner Amanda and Trudy the dog. Lovely clean accommodation, comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom. Excellent fresh cooked full english breakfast.

Nothing of any consequence. As we had a room at the front of the property there was some early morning traffic noise with the window open. But not a deal breaker, Lovely Amanda said if we came again she would give us a rear bedroom :-)

Comfortable overnight stay.

Beautiful Victorian house with large rooms and high ceilings overlooking a lovely park. Our room was clean and comfortable. Amanda made us feel most welcome and kindly booked us a taxi for our evening out. Delicious cooked full English breakfast in the morning.

Parking was extremely tight, glad we turned up early. For us the mattress was a little soft, but the high quality bed linen made up for it.

Exceptional

Everything. Amanda and Trudi (her friendly dog) made us very welcome. Room was beautiful with lovely aspect to the park. Breakfast was tasty. No surprise that Amanda won "4 in a bed", she thinks of everything and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended!
