We loved the location of this cottage---very close to Owl's Head and Rockland. Very quiet and lovely area. The owner was very nice and responsive--the home was very clean. We loved the shower but do want to encourage folks to remember that it is on the 2nd floor so if you have any mobility issues, that would be a barrier. There is a former review that talks about the number of items in this home and lack of space for personal items. We had room to unpack with several drawers in each room. Keep in mind that this is not a sterile hotel with loads of free space. This is a home and you feel like you are visiting with your favorite aunt :-). the kitchen had most any implement you would want including 2 crockpots, a toaster, microwave, and oven. Again---this is not a cold and sterile hotel-like environment but a home. You might want to stop here first before shopping to see what items are in the pantry. I appreciated that there were spices and other staples on hand. I especially appreciated the stockpile of paper towels and the host providing dish detergent, soap/shampoo (there were samples of these in the downstairs bath), as well as laundry detergent. Plenty of games, books, and puzzles to play. The owner is a talented painter and had several prints and I think she also must have down the dioramas in the house as well. Beautiful area and we are so glad we were able to visit.

Property was in a perfect location to visit my brother and his wife. I was joined by my three sisters from Texas for a wonderful family reunion. We try to get together every two or three years and this property will be at the top of our wish list.

We stayed here for 6 nights in June. I liked the location because we wanted to explore the Rockland area, without having to drive too far to get there.
The house was clean and cozy and I liked seeing the turkey in the yard in the morning.
One thing to be aware of is the shower and the four single beds are on the second floor. You will need to climb a narrow stairway with no hand railing to get up there.
The furnace was making a beeping noise when we got there so I called the owner and she had someone over there ASAP to fix it.
We visited the Owl's Head lighthouse and several other local parks for hiking. We liked the small town feel of the Rockland area. There is enough there to keep you entertained without the hassles of a larger town.
Overall it was a nice vacation spot.

Very nice, secluded location. Comfortable accommodations. My only negative about this rental was the owners things are everywhere so I had to live out of my suitcase for two weeks as there was no room in the dresser to unpack. The only closet is in the upstairs bedroom and it was completely full.

I enjoyed my stay at this wonderful property during a work related stay. Very quiet and peaceful location. I had my sweetheart stay with me the for a night and she loved it. The location is central to lots of sights and adventures that I wasn’t able to explore. I would stay there again and would recommend this property to everyone looking for a nice little getaway that is close to many place the mid coast of Maine has to offer.

Lovely house in the country
We come to Maine every summer to enjoy the cool weather and the lobster/other seafood! This house was perfect for our stay in the area we enjoy most! The house was stocked with everything we needed and had great Wi-Fi. Wildlife around was plentiful - porcupines, deer and turkey! Thanks to the wonderful owner for sharing her house with us!

Hidden Cottage
The peaceful setting of this cottage is lovely.
It is isolated and quiet, yet just a lovely country drive to conveniences, and a 15 to 20 minute walk to the water.
The cottage is equipped with everything one needs for a short or extended stay.
The host was accommodating.

Beautiful cabin, tucked into a wooded setting, centrally located along Maine coast.
The cabin was very clean with great amenities. The setting was wooded and private (sits about 400M directly off highway), but centrally located between Acadia National Park and Kennebunkport. The homeowner gave us great ideas for local places to visit. Quiet roads around the area for walking and running.

Perfect spot for our small family
We had a really great, quiet, cozy stay in April. For the price, this home was wonderful, it was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two young kids. There was a miscommunication issue about the check in process, which was difficult when arriving with two small children, but the owner is so kind and we easily cleared everything up. It is a bit of a drive to reach touristy destinations, but everything is a bit of a drive up here. The owners stock the kitchen with all sorts of supplies so we stayed in and cooked most nights anyway. Very quiet, nice neighbors (including a family of deer that visited almost daily)

Much needed time away after working 6 days a week for the past 8 months , secluded, and safe environment . Kid friendly , my grandson loved what he called the “LEGO room”
