Location - perfect location to explore the city.
No luggage storage before / after the visit

Beliggenheten og lite støy.
Lite og trangt på det ene soverommet.
Ikke helt rent.
TV uten kanaler, fikk ikke hjelp til å koble opp smartTV til streaming.

Perfect location close to Rainbow Road and a short walk to bus stop 12 (where most of the tours pick up) also lot's of bakeries nearby for coffee and pastries. Ice left in the freezer was a nice touch. Spacious apartment for 6 of us to share - useful having 2 toilets. Hairdryer provided and central heating easy to use. 24/7 support by phone if needed too which was very beneficial.
Rooms were very dark - stronger lighting would help. Extra pillows would make the beds more comfortable also.

Excellent location, lovely and comfortable.
If I’m being picky, then I’d have liked some more pillows for sleeping as I usually sleep with more than 1. The sulphur smell with the hot water isn’t pleasant but not a lot can be done about that!

Very well modernised but with loads of character! Perfect for 2 couples. As it says right in the heart of Reykjavík.
Couldn’t fault it. Would defo return.
Off road parking would be better, but on street parking paid by the meter was easy enough

Perfect location for walking around the city, very central. The apartment was lovely and cosy, it had everything we needed for our stay. Great to relax at the end of busy days. The settee was very hard and needed cushions to relax. We resolved this by using the bedroom cushions and pillows. I would happily stay and again.
On entering the house the small of drains was awful but the apartment smelt lovely.

The apartement was looking amazing and had everything us 4 girls needed, and the location was superb. Would have been a 10 if it was clean and the bedrooms had better ventilation, no windows or fire escape.
The bubblebath was not used, but our Finnish girl loved the sauna.
Easy parking near by in the street.
Dust balls in the bedrooms and behind the doors, otherwise clean. Almost no air in the bedrooms, but really great design.

Getting into the apartment was terrible. I was sent the code for the door in advance, but it did not work. I corresponded with the host to make sure that I had the correct code and was just sent the same code. We had to wait around for several hours until the code could be reset and we could get it.
There weren't any printed instructions in the apartment. We wanted to do laundry and sent a message to the host service who explained where the washer was. However, the location was just outside a door on our lower floor which was much simpler than what was explained to me. If there were instructions in the apartment, we wouldn't have had to go through all of this.
Also, we couldn't figure out how to turn on a light in the room with the hot tub and shower. We couldn't find a switch anywhere.

Very central location within Reykjavik, close to rainbow road and within walking distance of the bus station. Apartment was spacious, with an open plan kitchen, dining area and living room no the lower floor). Upstairs there was a large spacious main bedroom with two double beds and own shower room (where our teenagers slept) and smaller room with double bed (this room was sung - fitted the double bed and a small table only but was fine for us). There was also a separate bathroom across the hall from the smaller bedroom.
We had a lovely time and it did not distract from our fantastic stay but worth mentioning that we didn't cook at the apartment. There were only two wine glasses, which might be a problem if there were more than two adults sharing. Similarly there seemed to be a lack of toiletries in the bathrooms. One small travel size shampoo in one bathroom and a shower gel in the drawer of the other which meant we needed to share, so might want to take your own. We also found getting a street parking spot to be a bit of a challenge.

Overall great experience - great location, nice and clean house. The Hallgrim Church is in 5 min by foot.

The apartment was in an excellent location for exploring the centre of Reykjavik , within walking distance of the old city centre, harbours, bus stops & main bus terminal (great for getting the shuttle to Sky Lagoon) We were situated on a very pretty little square with a couple of lovely hotel bars and a great family atmosphere as well as busier streets with shops, bars, restaurants nearby. There is also a great Budget Supermarket a couple of streets away, which was great for cooking our own meals & grabbing supplies for our trips out of town. The apartment was very clean & the beds were exceptionally comfy. (The sofa however is not a comfy one - sorry ! ) the crockery & utensils could do with an update ( odd mugs, one with a broken handle, only one wine glass between four of us ) but otherwise a really enjoyable stay. Thank you.
A refresh of the crockery & utensils to make sure there are enough plates, mugs, glasses for all 4 people staying. And the sofa was impossible to get comfy on !

Nice property and great location. Loved having 2 bathrooms.
The only negative was the smell which was unbearable at times. I did complain but really didn't get any help. We really couldn't spend time at the apartment because of the smell.

We'd had some bad experiences with other properties where you needed a key code to get in (ahem, Akurinn Residence) so I was a bit apprehensive, but our hosts at the Heart of Reykjavik were wonderfully communicative, very professional, and provided us all the information we needed in the timeframe promised. It was easy to get in and we found everything exactly as we expected it--in fact, it was even lovelier than the booking photos! The woodworking was incredibly charming; the layout worked great for our party of 3 adults; the decor was modern, eclectic, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for the most part. We were very happy there for 2 nights, and it would be the perfect place to settle into for a week if one just wanted to really get to know Reykjavik.
1) Since part of what we were paying for was the convenience of a kitchen, we were surprised to find the teflon pans that were provided were very old and worn-out; we ended up using a stainless steel pot to scramble our eggs instead. There were also no instructions for the stove, which is a very modern device with all touch-screen controls, and thus not at all intuitive. Instruction manuals online were no help either. Luckily my partner is very tech-savvy and was able to figure it out after about 30 minutes of fiddling, but instructions would have been really helpful.
2) The coffee provided was fairly cheap quality, and there was no creamer. Fortunately there was a Kronan just a few blocks away.
2) The master bathroom had a sewage smell emanating from it--something more than just the smell of sulphur in the water. It was not strong, especially if we kept the balcony door and windows open and the bathroom door shut, but it was noticeable when the room was closed up. Hopefully it was a short-term plumbing problem that has since been resolved.

Perfect location, opposite Hotel Odinsve, Snaps restaurant and within a couple minutes walk to Rainbow Street, Hallimskirja church and shops and restaurants. Immaculately clean, lots of hot water, comfortable beds and linens. Full size fridge/freezer, small dishwasher with detergent provided and enough toilet paper to get 6 people through a couple days until we figured out where the Bonus grocery store was (close by on Laugervargar St). Electric kettle, no coffeemaker though, felt very safe, despite the young people wandering around at night. Would definitely stay here again! A fan was provided in one bedroom, a makeshift wardrobe in another, but no drawers - living out of a suitcase for a few days was no big deal. LOVED the hot tub, sauna and shower room! Figuring out how to fill it was a little challenging, but we did eventually. Big screen TV with Netflix worked (we only used it once). Everything was compact and all the necessities were provided. Could do with a sieve/colander as we made rice/pasta and there wasn't one. Also, 6 people need more than 6 cups and plates. Thankful we had a dishwasher! Heated tile floors, and tiled bathroom was lovely and warm. Windows opened for ventilation. Quiet neighbours upstairs, sauna was a great place to dry our wet coats and gloves.
Check in at 2 am was not fun! The code did not work. There were young people gathering on the streets which felt a little unsafe (they were no trouble) at that hour after a tiring flight. We fumbled around in the dark for our confirmation number and a telephone number to call. For us it was an international call, one of our phones didn't work, so we had to do some more fumbling to make that call on a cell phone. Somebody answered, yay! and told us how to reset the code, and gain entry. It was incredibly frustrating! After 20 mins, we gained entry to the place - so they fixed the problem as promptly as they could, in a polite, professional manner - it could have been a deal breaker for us, but we would definetly stay there again, based on such great customer service. Could use a place to store clothes as we were there for 4 nights and it would've been nice to unpack, but that was really no big deal as everything else was so nice. Photos did make the place seem a lot bigger than it actually was - but it was not cramped in any way, just not as big as we expected.

The location couldn’t have been better and the place was clean and a good price. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly encourage others to stay here as well.
The pictures don’t do a fantastic job of showing the master bedrooms layout so we were a little surprised by how close the two beds were with no divider and that the bathroom had a sliding door instead of a traditional door to provide more privacy. Still would encourage staying here though for the location and value!

Review is for the 6 bedded apartment. Excellent location, 2 min walk to main tourist shopping area with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Safe, quiet location.
Everything you need is provided, even tea, coffee etc. Lovely and warm. Beds are comfortable.
Lovely steam room and jacuzzi.
it feels like the bedrooms are underground as they are down a couple of steps and there are no windows. This is not a complaint, just adds to the quirky, quaint feel.
2.0
It was a very cool apartment with plenty of space.
The door didn't latch. It was open upon arrival and wouldn't latch while we were there so we were stressed by not being in a secure apartment at night. As three women, this made our stay very uncomfortable.

location
kitchen is not equipped for cooking/eating in 4 people. the second room can barely fit two beds

Beautiful apartment and excellent central location in Reykjavik. The hosts were lovely and very responsive to questions and messages. Thank you for such a great stay! I would definitely stay here again.

The location
Terrible communication from the host. No toiletries like shampoo or body wash. Only 2 bowls and 2 wineglasses for 4 people. No coffee. Someone elses leftover products in the bathroom and leftover food in the fridge. So disappointing.

The Location was great! It was right next to restaurants, bars, shops and the cathedral.
When we arrived, we couldn't get in. The code supplied to us via email was incorrect, we phoned the company who then gave up the right code. When we opened the door it was clear the apartment hadnt been cleaned, there was rubbish from the previous guests on the worktops and on the floor. The bathroom was also dirty as were the floors .There was only one single duvet and on pillow between 2 of us. There were no towels in the bathroom. We contacted the company again who said we had to wait until the following day for these so we wrre unable to shower and were uncomfortable sharing a duvet. My partner had to sleep on rolled up clothes as a pillow. When the towels arrived, we took a shower but the shower was broken it fell off the wall towards me. Overall the location was good but the apartment was far from luxury.

Location was fantastic. Definitely in the heart of Reykjavik. Apartment well furnished. Very clean. Staff online couldn't have been more helpful.
Crockery and glasses were a bit short for a family of 4.
4.5
Location and general feeling for the apartment.
Apartment had everything you needed, kitchen full of utensils. Best was location. less than a 2 min walk to main street, 7 min to down down.
Lack of storage for clothes. Especially the second 'bed' room.
Prior knowledge for parking arrangements.

Spacious 2 bedroom apt with balcony
Kitchen is fully equipped
Walking distance to eateries & city sights. Apt has 2 bathrooms with toilets , great for large families .
Response to messages was prompt. Hairdryer was reported missing in morning and by afternoon we got a replacement set
Stairs are narrow n steep so we had to leave our large suitcases downstairs and bring only what we need to shower n change upstairs . Not an issue with smaller bags.

Central location. Quiet neighbourhood. Freshly decorated. Warm. Very comfortable beds. Spacious.
Cobbled together with IKEA leftovers. No hairdryer. No cereal/pasta bowls. Very slow at responding to messages. The microwave is located too high up. Only one medium towel provided per person. No shampoo/shower gel. Building work in progress with associated drilling, painting and unsafe work gear abandoned everywhere.

location
almost left. very loud construction within building and construction debris in hallways and entrance. should not have rented to guests at this time. Guest apt onfinished. insufficient lighting, electric outlets in kitchen, no hangers
2.5
WIFI, TV, microwave all satisfied me. But no heating.
Inside and outside the room are completely two worlds. The setting in the house is not bad, watching TV is very comfortable, but I believe you don't come here to watch TV. At night, the wind will wake you up, the sound of the sand and gravel outside. There is still construction outside during the day, and overall I don't feel safe.

the location of the property was the best. you could walk to a lot of pubs and restaurants and the bus station.
The property suited our stay nicely
