Super erholsam mit unglaublich freundlichem Hotelpersonal

War alles super! Die Lage, die Natur, das Frühstück, die Zimmer… auch der Whirlpool und die Sauna waren top.

Einziger negativer Punkt: Zimmer waren relativ kühl und feucht, nasse Kleidung brauchte ewigs zu trocknen. Wir wurden aber im Vorhinein mehrmals darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass es kühl wird.

El hotel es precioso, rodeado por pura naturaleza, la comida está muy buena y el personal es muy atento.

Mi único pero para este hotel es la localización, aunque depende del plan que tengas. Puedes tomar un camino de tierra para ir a Salento que no te lleva más de 10 min andando, pero si quieres ir a cenar o salir por el pueblo y regresar al hotel una vez que ya ha caido el sol el camino es solitario y oscuro. La otra opción es intentar buscar transporte en la plaza del pueblo y que te suban al hotel en coche.

Wunderbare Landschaft, sehr komfortable und sichere Unterkunft mit viel Privatsphäre, gutes Essen, sehr freundliches Personal. Interessante Ausflugsmöglichkeiten im Ort. Holzbottich für 2 auf der Terrasse

Das Bad im Bungalow war nur optisch vom Schlafbereich abgetrennt, man hat alles gehört :-)

Ubicación en un sitio precioso, a 5 minutos andando del mirador de Salento por un camino tranquilo. Personal muy amable y profesional Habitación amplia y muy bonita. Baño con amenities El desayuno muy rico y se inicia a las 7 por lo que es perfecto. Tienes jacuzzi si quieres, con vistas preciosas. Nos dejaron ducharnos después del check out

Schöne Anlage mitten in der Natur

Das Hotel ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit sehr schönem Garten und mitten in der Natur. Dennoch ist man zu Fuß sehr schnell in Salento. Abends konnte man gemütlich am Kamin sitzen und das Hotel bietet die perfekte Entspannung. Gerne hätten wir noch die Massage getestet aber leider war unser Aufenthalt zu kurz.

A mixed experience

The hotel has a beautiful setting out of town. There is a shortcut footpath from the hotel to the Mirador in town which takes only 10 mins. The room had a lovely spacious balcony which was very private and had fabulous views towards the hills. Plenty of birds to be seen from the balcony. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a good powerful shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good and taken in the dining room with the most beautiful views. The staff were very welcoming,helpful and friendly.

Given the high price of this hotel it was disappointing to have an incredibly small bathroom with only cold water supplied to the sink. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment. It was unclear on Booking.com that our room was in the main building of the hotel. The Superior King is situated above reception, the kitchen and dining area. This made the room very noisy. Far from enjoying peace tranquility and birdsong we had all the noises and smells of kitchen and dining room in the mornings and evenings and non stop 1960s and 70s music from 7am to 9.30pm. This marred our experience. If we ever came back here we would definitely check out where the room is located as it makes such a difference to your experience. Maybe the hotel should have clearer descriptions on the Booking website.

We had a wonderful few nights & could have stayed for longer.

We liked the breakfast . It was part self service & part waiter served but they were very quick . The view was to die for . We did horse riding to a coffee farm & although it was quite expensive, it was a wonderful excursion.

We didn’t like the shower area. Although it was a good shower, we were exposed to the elements; There were gaps in the wooden slats . Some people might not mind this ( they might even like it ! ) but I feel the cold.

BEST VIEW IN SALENTO!!!

This was a vacation for the soul! This place has far exceeded our expectactions! *the view is, the best!! *our room was great, with a breathtaking view, spacious, comfy bed and a hammock on the terrasse *the staff is super nice and accommodating *the breakfast was excellent (and I mean, accompanied with the view... Again 😁) *10 mins walking from the center of Salento. Walk is through the green oasis which we loved. It gets dark in the night of course, but have your phone flashlights ready, it's really not a big deal. The area feels super safe.

Great concept, but some major flaws.

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had at any hotel, worldwide. The French toast was incredible and the fruit was the best I've had. As an added bonus, the view from breakfast is gorgeous. The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. You won't find a more comfortable bed in South America. Staff did a great job with airport transfers. Wifi was excellent.

Major issues with the hot water for showers. We raised issues with the staff regarding this and whilst they were responsive and said they were checking the heater, this issue was not resolved over the 4 days we were there. I was forced to have numerous freezing cold showers throughout my stay. I would not consider staying here again for this reason alone. I paid a lot of money to stay at a comfortable retreat so we could relax, not freeze in the shower. The windows for our room were facing the opposite direction from the beautiful view and the view was therefore wasted. When laying in bed, we enjoyed a view of a grassy slope instead. Strange design choice when building the cabins. No idea why they wouldn't put the window and bed on opposite sides. The bathroom has bamboo walls and lots of gaps in the ceiling and door jams, so lots of mosquitos and other insects get in. You therefore have to be very careful keeping all doors and windows shut in order to keep them out of the bedroom. Despite our best attempts, they of course still got in. The walk from Salento back to the hotel is quite steep. It was fine for us as we are young and fit, but something to keep in mind. It is a mountain "retreat", after all.

Excellent. Great place, great views, great facilities and staff.

The place exceeded our expectations. We only stayed one night but we want to go back, hopefully soon.

I traveled with my parents and the night was very cold. This place should consider having portable heaters, especially to provide heat to the rooms where elderly people are staying.

Lugar espectacular, de luna de miel. Vistas demasiado hermosas y habitación de sueño

El servicio impecable, la vista espectacular !!! Mucho mejor que en las fotos, la habitación era increíble, el baño también. Ojalá hubieramos tenido más días aquí. La comida del restaurante fue espectacular, tanto la cena como el desayuno, recomendable al 1000% El masaje en el SPA fue maravilloso también. Gracias por todo!!

El servicio en el restaurante durante la cena, la camarera no tenía ningún conocimiento sobre los ingredientes de los platos, ni sobre los vinos disponibles en el restaurante, ni sabía si Colombia era productora de vino. Nos trajo los dos entrantes de golpe, y sin verificar si habíamos terminado nos trajo los dos platos fuertes en medio de los aperitivos, cuando obviamente no había espacio en la mesa para todo... iba de mesa en mesa con los platos sucios o por servir de otras mesas. Poco profesional, me esperaba más de un servicio de cena en un lugar tan increíblemente precioso. Además que la comida fue muy rica y felicitamos a las chefs, una pena que el servicio fuera un poco decadente. Aún así, volveríamos a venir!! Lo añado cómo algo a mejorar :)

Very special place to stay

The location is incredible, like a mirador in itself. The view from the bed and the balcony really is very special. We also had some colourful birds land on our balcony one morning. The hotel is run very efficiently and the staff were all so friendly and helpful (both in person and over WhatsApp). The breakfasts are totally delicious, with good options and lots of the food comes from their garden. We had dinner and cocktails at the hotel one night, which were all great (although it’s definitely more expensive than eating in town). We liked having the fire in the evenings in one of the hang out areas too. The walk into town from the hotel was easy and we felt comfortable coming back in the dark after dinner in town a couple of evenings. Salento was very busy when we visited (due to public holidays), so we were extra grateful to return to the relaxing setting of the hotel after exploring. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return.

Hard to find fault. The jacuzzi temperature was a little hot to stay in for the full 50 minute slot (but the view is very special, and the sauna is great too) and it would be even better if they had a small pool.

The hotel staff (Carlos, Edwin, Albani) was so friendly and you can tell that they really love their work. the view was espectacular and the Food was amazing too

Excellent stay in Salento

Great staff, great excursions - we did the full day tour with the walking Cocora Valley in the morning and horse ride to coffee farm in the afternoon. I would highly recommend. The breakfast was perfect and evening meal also great.

Our room was right next to reception and we could hear people talking, moving around and even the kitchen which meant it was less peaceful than expected and we got woken up early. I wish this was clearer when we booked and I would have booked a different room.

Beautiful hotel in the mountains of Salento

Las mejores vistas al Cocora!

Nos sentimos como en casa, todo es excepcional, habitacion, trato del personal, desayunos, vistas, jacuzzi, sauna....te sientes en familia. Carlos y Eduardo se portaron genial con nosotros. Os echamos de menos, incluida Jacinta! ;)

El acceso estaba cortado porque lo estaban mejorando, pero te facilitan y pagan el transporte en taxi.

Een van de meest bijzondere en fijne hotels van Colombia!

Unieke en prachtige plek! Het uitzicht was fenomenaal en het personeel zo gastvrij en servicegericht. We hebben genoten! Carlos en zijn collega’s helpen overal bij en denken aan alles. Ze zorgen ervoor dat je een perfect verblijf hebt. We reisden met onze dochter van 2,5 jaar en overal was aan gedacht. Een autostoeltje bij de transfer, een heerlijke babybedje in de kamer en kinderstoel bij het ontbijt. Het eten bij het ontbijt is heerlijk. Zelfs na 5 dagen genoten we nog elke ochtend van een heerlijk ontbijt met prachtig uitzicht. De massages en behandelingen zijn aan te raden! Heerlijk. Ook geven ze hele fijne tips voor excursies en regelen alles voor je. Al met al zullen we het iedereen aanraden en zouden we heel graag terugkomen!

Excellent Experience! Love the place, the view is breathtaking! My experience as a guest was extraordinary thanks to Stefania and Carlos, who were fantastic hosts, caring for every need and request The Spa Massage was also great, Laura was fantastic Breakfast was delicious as well, the Coffee and the Herbal Tea to die for Bed was comfortable, the room decoration was cute

Perfect in Every Way!

Service was exceptional, as well as the food. Our room was clean and decorated beautifully. It was an oasis to wake up there every morning and arrive back from a long day in the evening. It was an easier walk into town than expected :) Loved everything about Kawa!!
