Wonderful stay in Sintra.

Loved the location-very close to Sintra station. Virtually just around the corner. This was wonderful as Sintra can be quite hilly in places. It was soooo easy to take our suitcases. Once we arrived, we were checked in and shown the apartment and it is lovely. A little challenge to get up the steps to the loft where the bed is. Be careful getting out of bed too-low ceiling. The apartment was very clean, the bathroom had an amazing rain shower and it was very quiet. The kitchen was well serviced but we didn’t cook for ourselves. A quick walk back to the station and the buses could be caught there. Buses 434 and 435 for the Peña palace, the Regaleira and even local buses to Cabo da Roca on the coast. We needed a break from all the walking and a trip to the coast was the answer. I would highly recommend staying here. Just wonderful. Wi fi worked well. Very nice restaurants close by plus a mini preco. We ate at the Taverna next door- very tasty and run by the same family. Communication was excellent.

Superb place to stay in Sintra

We were met by Rui, the owner, and made to feel very welcome right from the start. Rui was easy to reach by WhatsApp throughout our stay and kept in touch regularly. The apartment was extremely tastefully decorated, very comfortable and so handy for the old town (5 minutes walk) yet in an extremely quiet neighbourhood. Wonderful Taverna next door (owned by Rui’s dad) with great food and lovely staff.

We didn’t dislike anything but have one small suggestion: a full length mirror in the bedroom would have been good. There is only one mirror and it’s in the bathroom and it’s not full length so it’s impossible to check how your clothes look when you’re going out. The only other small issue was that the guests in the flat above us were very loud and heavy footed so we could hear them any time we were in the flat. Happy to say they weren’t noisy during the night 😴 We didn’t mention this to Rui as we didn't want to cause bad feeling but maybe he could ask guests to be aware of other guests and keep noise to a minimum.

We had a nice comfortable stay at Urban Chic.

The apartment was very nice, comfortable and we thought the location was better than expected. It was so easy to walk up to the corner (so close) to catch an uber. It was nice and quiet when we stayed. Owner was friendly and accommodating.

Really nothing I didnt like, I wished that in this one area that offered drying racks and some other amenities would have had a pay wash machine, but, it didnt. (hint hint for the owner...)

Can’t wait to teturn

We were greeted by the apartment's modern charm and tasteful design. The fully-equipped kitchen, complete with an electric stove, dishwasher, and a comprehensive collection of cutlery, crockery, and utensils, made us feel right at home. The attention to detail truly made a difference in our stay. The location was perfect, right in the center but quiet. We were able to easily explore the city's attractions, all while enjoying the comfort of a tranquil abode to return to. It was the best of both worlds! The owner of the apartment is a super host, Rui was waiting to welcome us (with local famous pastry and a bottle of wine), he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and enjoyable. His dedication to making us feel at home truly made a difference. The cozy bedroom provided a comfortable retreat, allowing us to recharge after our adventures. The apartment's amenities, combined with its prime location, created an ambiance that perfectly balanced convenience and relaxation.

Outstanding, extraordinary, superb!!! Definitely a place to come back! Located in the heart of beautiful Sintra, allows you to walk everywhere. The apartment is spacious, very clean and very well equipped. Beds (both in the sleeping room and the sofa in living room) are comfortable, kitchen and bathroom very nice and have everything you need, and even more 😉 All decorated with a great taste and attention to details. And that lovely terrace! I loved to sit there with my coffee or wine. But the best of all is the host. Rui really does his best to make his guests feel great and cared for - from giving useful advice to leaving a welcome gift. He's a great example of fantastic Portuguese hospitality! Booking, please allow 11/10 for places like this! 😀

Vila Municipio is Marvellous

Rui the host is an absolute natural at hospitality...great family business, well appointed smart modern apartment, great family owned taverna beside accomodation, all cultural sights close by & plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from too!

Beautiful stay in the heart that is the charm of Sintra.

The apartment was beautiful and located right in the village center. Rui, our host, greeted us and explained everything about the apartment and recommendations for transportation to the famous sights!

Not a bad thing, but for awareness, if you are tall the bed is located in a loft so watch your head!

The location is supreme, the deco of the place is modern and comfy with style. Most important and precious is the host, Rui's father greeted us with key and helped us with suitcase; Rui was communicating with us throughout our stay. After my checkout, when I ask for invoice and proof of my stay, Rui was very kind to help. They are super kind!

Smart, clean, comfortable for a short stay in a perfect location close to everything.

Rui was very helpful & in contact thru out. Gave us directions to the place, where to park & an entire document on what to do in Sintra. His Dad met us upon arrival. We found a delicious welcome gift of Sintra’s famous local pastries & a bottle of Port in the apt. We needed an iron & it was promptly brought to us. The place looked like it was newly renovated. Very clean & stylish interior & exterior. Perfect location, walking distance to everything. 10-15 min taxi ride to the palaces & other sights.

The sofa bed was a bit short for our 2 teen daughters. Anyone taller than 5’3 would have their feet dangling over. The road leading to the apt was shut, we couldn’t figure out where to go so had to call Rui to ask. We feel that should have been communicated before hand. Also the apt is small & ok for 2-3 days for a family of 4. A longer visit would be difficult. It’s perfect for 2 people though for a longer time. The bathroom needs many hooks to hang towels & pajamas otherwise it’s a gorgeous space!

Fantastic property

Apartment C is a home from home. Pleasant, fresh decor. Comfy bed. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of crockery, good cooking facilities and a dishwasher. Easy access to cafes, restaurants and shops. The property is within walking distance of several of the visitor attractions in Sintra. All others are easily accessible by public transport within a 5/10 minute walk.

There isn't anything I didn't like. There are a number of apartments at this property, but not all of them have a private outside sitting area. If you want a private outside space, apartment C doesn't have one.

Exceptional

The property is beautiful, exactly as pictured and extremely clean. It’s well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Rui is an amazing host, with excellent communication throughout. The location is also excellent. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Sintra!

Fantastic apartment in a great location with a lovely host.

Rui was an amazing host. The apartment was so nice, I didn’t want to leave. Very spacious and comfortable with everything you need. You can walk everywhere from here and the Sintra train station is an easy 5 minute walk. It was lovely having Rui there to meet me on arrival and provide tips on where to go in Sintra, as well as the special bottle of wine and Travesseiros that were in the apartment on my arrival. Sintra is beautiful - I stayed four days but would happily stay longer - there’s so much to see and places to explore in the beautiful Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

Good stay, friendly owner, sound proofing needs some attention

Well designed place, very friendly owner, excellent location. Good value for money.

If you are sensitive to sounds the place is unpleasant when neighbours are around (sound proofing is really poor). Without neighbours present the place is actually really lovely and relaxing. Beds could be a bit more comfortable (I recall them being a bit narrow for a couple).

Wish I could have stayed there forever!

It was exceptional! The location is right in the heart of Sintra, free and safe parking spots are nearby, the apartment is new, clean and has everything you would ever need. Rui, the host, made sure to check in with me every day and make sure I'm 100% happy with everything. He also has a guide with all the tips for visiting the region - and his tips are golden! To top all that, he welcomed me with wine and Travesseiro, Sintra's traditional desert. Everything was just perfect, thank you Rui!

Wonderful host and location

Rui was a great host, he came in person to answer all the questions we had, he welcomed us with Sintra special dessert, drinks and a bottle of Porto wine. He went out of his way to get me a sewing kit, which made our stay very special ,.... We love the decoration and location of the apartment which is very close to the train station, good restaurants, a super market, city hall, some sights and the city center.

There is a remodel opposite of the apartment, the noises it generated before 7am could be hard on some late raisers. I have no idea when the remodel will be done though.

The host Rui reached out prior to our stay giving us alot of information to make our stay memorable. He kept in contact and was available throughout our visit to answer any questions we had. The place was located close to everything, it was clean and beautiful as we expected. There were several bottles of water available to us as well as a bottle of wine and pastry! He was very sweet and we had wonderful communication. Would absolutely go back!

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing.

Everything! It was a great little 1 bedroom. Modern and clean. The owner Rui is such a nice man and was always so helpful in providing recommendations on things to see and places to eat. If I get the chance to visit Sintra again I will definitely rent here again.

Beautiful apartment and exceptional host

Highly recommended. Beautifully renovated apartment right in the historic center of Sintra. Rui is doing an amazing job and is a super kind and caring host.

Parking spots are a bit hard to find in the historic center of Sintra. If you move around a lot by car like me to go surf, it might not be the best location.

I can't fault Vila Municipio. The owner really does want the best for his guests. Everything is supplied, very comfortable and spacious. Very clean and close to shops and public transport.

If you don't stay here, you'll be sorry.

The house is lovely -- both pretty and functional. The hosts were superb and provided timely contact and lots of information about the area. It's very convenient that they also own the restaurant next door. The chef and waiter there are extraordinary and go out of their way to personalize your stay. Both food and wine (or port) were varied and delicious.

The only thing that could have been better is if we stayed longer.
