About this house rental
Enjoy time away from it all! Gather your family and friends at this secluded lakefront home. Beautiful views of the lake from the patio, the covered porch and the fire pit. Plenty of seating on both levels for everyone to sit outside. Propane fire pit table located on the upper level for your evening enjoyment. The wood fire pit is situated close to the lake. S'mores, anyone?!
You enter the home on the lower level where you have a family room with a 55" TV, dining area and pool table. There is also a bedroom and a bathroom with shower on this floor. Upstairs you will find the kitchen and living room as well as three other bedrooms and another full bath (with tub/shower). The washer/dryer is also tucked away in a closet in the upstairs bathroom. Enjoy the gas fireplace in the upstairs living room on chilly nights. A baby gate has been added at the top of the stairs to keep the little ones safe!
The 4 sleeping areas provide you with flexibility to fit everyone who comes to visit. The large upstairs bedroom (bunk room) faces the lake, walks out to the deck and has a TV.
The eat-in kitchen has everything you need to feel at home including a Keurig coffee maker, a drip coffee pot, electric griddle, dishwasher and a full-sized refrigerator. Grill up your favorites on the propane grill available for your use. Our welcome book has information on many local restaurants should you not want to prepare your meals every day.
Just a short walk to fun on the lake. There are several convenient marinas that rent boats as well. Nolin Lake is known for great fishing.
Fall note: the Corps of Engineers begins the seasonal reduction in water level on 10/15. By 12/1, the lake will reach winter pool. Likely you cannot access the water at our dock after the end of October. The lake resumes full level again by mid-April.
Hiking trails at Mammoth Cave National Park are just 9 miles away providing you with lots of options to explore one of our nation's treasures. There are so many nearby attractions from Adventures of Mammoth Cave (zip lines, canoe/kayak rental, horseback riding and aerial challenge course), Blue Holler Off-road Park, Kentucky Down Under (Australian animal park with a cave - terrific for the younger crowd), many KY distilleries, the Corvette Museum and more!
We are pet friendly and welcome visitors that travel with their furry family members at no extra charge. Two dog crates are available for your use (sizes medium and extra large).
Our access roads have been newly paved to improve durability through the seasons.
Don't miss this great opportunity to tuck your family away for a week (or weekend) of fun and relaxation! We look forward to your visit!
Reservations for June, July and August (through Labor Day) must be 6 nights beginning early on a Saturday morning and ending on a Friday afternoon at 2pm.

Our family loved our stay here. It was a beautiful area and Nolin Lake was spectacular. We have already recommend this cabin to a family friend & we would love to book it again in the future!

This property was great for our extended family vacation- right on the lake with a private dock for our boat! The roads to the property were pretty narrow and winding to pull a truck with a boat behind it but we got it there. We enjoyed evenings hanging out on the porch and the kids loved the bunk beds. Great place- would rent again

The Lakeview Cabin is a beautiful rustic environment with all the amenities you need. A great game room that kept the teenagers happy when we weren't on the Lake swimming, boating or fishing. Most fun we have had in years. Can't wait to come back next year.

This house is amazing! It was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. Hosts were great to work with; suggesting activities in the area for the us to explore with the kids. I highly recommend renting a boat from Wax Marina and exploring the lake for a day. The sunsets from the dock were beautiful and somthing we looked forward to each night. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a beautiful home. The owners really outdid themselves with deckrating the entire home lake theme.
It was quiet and somewhat secluded. Its anywhere from 15-30 minutes to geg to a store, deoending on what you beed, but InstaCart delivers!!!
We soent nearly every day on the lake and made the best memories! We had 4 adults and kids from ages 4-16. Everyone had plenty of space and a great time!

We (5 men) a work retreat at this lake house and it was great. The outdoor seating was exactly what we needed and the natural surroundings perfect for winding down and shutting out the noise. Loved the 2 fire pits and the short walk to the lake. A very relaxing and enjoyable time!

Beautiful location! Large Cabin with ample room and all the amenities for a great stay. Owners were very easy to communicate with and our dogs loved it too! We cooked in the large kitchen and sat around the campfire at night right on beautiful Lake Nolin! A large upper deck had a propane fire to sit around in the evenings. A big grill was available to cook steaks and hamburgers. The pool table was a nice addition and a late evening favorite. The internet was fast and had good range too. Close to Mammoth Cave which we visited several times. Quiet, serene and a very enjoyable stay. I loved the relaxing cabin. Highly recommended!

We fell in love with the house and property. It is so beautiful and peaceful. The owners have thought of everything you will need! We will definitely book this house again! Hopefully in the summer time so we can take advantage of renting a boat and checking out the gigantic lake!

This was an awesome house in an awesome location. Lake frontage with outstanding views. House was very spacious and super clean. Beds were great. Everything really was perfect for our family vacation over the new year holiday weekend. I can imagine how great this place would be in the summer months. Highly recommend staying here.

This property was just as described and we enjoyed our stay very much! There was something for everyone in our large family (the pool table and patio fire table were big hits)! The kitchen, bathrooms and linens were well-stocked (there wasn’t coffee, though, so if it’s important to you, make sure to pack it!)
The house and property are beautiful. Even though I had read reviews and looked at maps prior to booking, we didn’t expect to drive quite as much as we did, so keep that in mind with planning your activities. It’s very remote!
The host was wonderfully approachable and available and the check in/check out rules and procedures are very reasonable and we were happy to oblige.
As previous reviewers noted, there is a staircase that is difficult to block off for adventurous toddlers (we brought our baby gate, but it didn’t fit).

We had plenty of room for four adults and 3 little ones! The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with a great open design which opened up to beautiful covered large outdoor deck area.
We found everything we could possibly need. And more!
If you have a crawling or walking one year old who refuses to sit still, like we did, you might want to bring some kind of baby gate for the steps down to the first floor. The second floor outdoor deck had no steps, however, so it worked well to corral the little guy.

We really enjoyed our time at this lake house! It’s all about the little things … like the automatic light in the downstairs living room, the extra plugs in the bedrooms, the labeled light switches and the automatic string lights on the upstairs deck. These little things really change the experience. We felt welcome and invited! ❤️
It’s a little out of the way and hard to find; however, the directions provided by the host were perfect and led us to where we needed to be.
We would stay here again hands down! Next time we’ll leave more time to enjoy the lake.

Nice property. We had 3 disabled adults with us that struggled with steps to lake access. Not a complaint, just a lot of slope on the property. We enjoyed the home itself. I accidentally packed the chalk my grandson was using. I thought it was his. Sorry.

This home is in a beautiful location. Getting to it was an adventure but a highly enjoyable one. Our group consisted of my daughter, her husband and 3 children ages 8, 6 and 3. The kids really enjoyed the bunkbed room. There was plenty of room for everyone. The home was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. It had everything we needed.

We met our children and their spouses for a week’s vacation and the house was perfect for us! Plenty of space to gather and play games but then space to get in small groups. We hiked the area, fished and kayaked from the house’s dock, visited Mammoth Cave and rented a boat for the day. It was a great vacation.

The perfect location to do the Kentucky caves tour, nature vacation thing. Blue Holler Off Road Park is a must if you are into off-roaring adventure. The house is great. It was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described in the add, actually better in person than the photos. The location is great, in a quiet spot but still lakefront. The property manager even communicated about the possibility of severe weather. You will not be disappointed.

Wife and my bdays and New Years weekend with friends. 4 adults and 4 kids 11-17. Fantastic spot. Great Mammoth Cave location. Great response and service from property management. Response with delivery of firepit propane tank FAR! exceeded expectations. Split wood available for wood fire but, we really loved the deck pit. Water access was great. Wrong time of year for water fun. Kids loved games and pool table. Only suggestions.... TV upstairs (big football weekend with lots of cooking away from TV), need pool sticks (all but 1 broken), better garbage can in kitchen (small can with wood edges and thin bags that ripped every time), and mattresses need updating. Minor nit picky things. Definitely not deal breakers. Otherwise, great place to stay and would definitely return if in area again.

This is nestled in the woods and has a large front porch with views of woods and lake. Fall colors were amazing and we loved the porch for gathering with friends & family. Kitchen was well equipped to handle cooking for lots of people. Downstairs recreation room came in handy on foul weather days. Few notes to boaters: steep gravel driveways, check water levels for winter use of docks. The main living area is about 20 stairs up, so this may be a consideration for some. Otherwise, it's a grand rental and Owners were wonderful to work with.

Two families--four adults and four kids, ages 5-8--stayed here for three nights in October. It was a fantastic space. Each bedroom had plenty of space, the kitchen had everything we could need (hooray for tupperware!), and the deck and fire pit were perfect for the cool evening hang outs. Our kids especially enjoyed turning the lookout stand into their own clubhouse. Everything was clean, and all the details were taken care of. Just a short drive to Nolin Lake State Park where we hiked and did some ranger-led activities.

This home is amazing . Beautifully decorated, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities you might need . We felt like we were sharing a friends home . Places for family to gather and places for privacy. The upper porch is a perfect gathering place for meals and sitting by gas fire pit . The wood fire pit towards the lake is so enjoyable and well planned . Then we could walk down to the dock for fishing and swimming . This was our first VRBO experience and we would love to come back . The drive to the property is so beautiful.

Great home for older person with mobility issues.
This well-maintained very clean home was ideal for older family members with mobility issues. 85 year old great grandma walks short distances but uses wheel chair for longer distances. They drove their car to top of the driveway and she was able to walk to the end and up the 2 stairs (with assistance) to the porch. The porch is very deep with seating for 7. Easy access indoors to the lower level that had couches and a dining table for 6. Since one side has a bench we were able to sit 2 kids with their mom. The table is counter height which was a challenge for GGM as she is shorter. We shuttled the food from the kitchen upstairs to the lower level so we could eat together so it was nice to have the table there. There is a bedroom and bath with walk-in shower on this level.
We used the fire pit and drove GGM down and she was able to do the short walk to the chairs there. We brought our pontoon boat and there was no way she could do the stairs to the dock. We drove to Dog Creek Recreation Area which has a dock by the boat ramp. There were no steps and she was able to walk on the dock and onto the boat. We parked the car at the top.
We were so happy that 4 generations were able to spend time together without GGM feeling she was trapped in one level. We spent a lot of time on the porch and played games at the dining table. So glad we found this home to stay in.

Nice home on the lake
This really is a very nice property. Well cared for, owners communicate well. No issue whatsoever. Keep in mind the this is a rural location in KY so it can be some distance for supplies, but that’s part of being on vacation. It’s a busy lake on the weekend but the weekdays make up for that. Again a lovely spot on the lake. Family enjoyed the pool table much more than I expected. Dock was brand new this season, and sections that weren’t new were in good order. Fire pit area is very nice. Overall a great property, just make sure the location meets your plans. It did ours.
