About this cottage rental

This true beach cottage on Lake Michigan's Magnificent Mile, beautiful beachfront with only a slope to the shore, no steps to endure. Live on the beach or walk to town for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Bring all the float toys you want or even pull your boat or jet ski right up to our shore for the day, it's your choice.

Enjoy an adult beverage on our private beach during the day or a fine bottle of wine at your bonfire after the sun goes down. We've spent many a night watching the sun go down, gazing at the stars. When not on the beach hang on our common area large deck or in our quaint cottage with views of the lake.

This is one of the original South Haven cottages that has been meticulously maintained to please the most discriminant beach goer who is looking for that unique and memorable experience.

***Best for small family or romantic getaway. Ideal for 2 adults and up to 2 small children. This unit has a studio style layout with a queen bed and full couch/futon.

This is our 4th year. We enjoy being here with our son, his spouse and very our young grandchildren. It's so easy to enjoy the beach, kayaking and sunsets with the ease of not having to drag everything down to the large public beach. We appreciate the quality of the units and the upkeep of the overall property.

This place is perfect for a solo trip. The cottage was so cozy, clean, and felt like home. It is right on the beach and only a couple minutes from downtown, which was super convenient. You have a perfect opportunity to watch the beautiful sunset every night as well right outside your door. It was a great experience!

We've stayed in this property for the past 5 years and it truly is magical. We really lucked out in stumbling upon this place. You are right on the private beach and less than 10 minutes from town. It's the best that South Haven has to offer.

We were there before the summer rush and while kids are still in school. There were never more than five people on the beach at any given time. I so appreciated the ability to have a fire while watching the sunset. and I Loved being able to take a kayak out on the lake. We will be back!

The "cottage on the beach" is an elegant and charming home away from home. A short walk out the front door to stroll on the beach and watch the sunset never fails to please. The cottage is exceptionally clean, updated, and designed with all the conveniences of home. You cannot ask for a better location, as the walkability and accessibility into South Haven are exceptional. Our annual visit gets better and better with each stay. The cottage was cute and clean. Two things though although there is a slope down to the shore once on the sand, there are a number of concrete steps getting there. I am still recovering from a knee replacement and it was somewhat challenging. Also Cottage 3 is right next to the public access so privacy was an issue, people looking in as they walked by.

We thoroughly enjoyed this small but well appointed cottage on the lake. Part of the lovely town of South Haven, the cottage is close to everything, including many restaurants and shops but feels surprisingly private.The patio with a charcoal grill was a bonus. We hope to stay again.

This is our second year in this little cottage and once again it did not disappoint!! It is perfectly located on the beach and is a short walk to town. The cottage is perfectly organized with baskets and hooks to store your belongings. We are already looking forward to going back next year!!

From the chill & high end decor, to the cleanliness, to the deck & private beach, to the location; I love staying here! There was a slight problem (some folks taking over the private beach) & Gregg took care it within minutes! You can’t ask for better hosts! I was more than happy during both of my stays. The location is near enough to walk or ride a bike to South Haven’s downtown and a short drive from Douglas/Sagatauck. I will be back! 😎👍👍

Both cottages are just charming! The location to dowtown South Haven is perfect. Steps to the beach and magical sunsets! I would highly recommend these properties. The owners put love and care into these units. Check in and out process was a breeze. The units are so well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Hope to stay again.

We have stayed here four times and the property is lovely and perfect for a couple (and maybe a little one or two). The managers are wonderful and very easy to work with. I could not recommend this place higher and we are so lucky to find this beautiful cottage on the beach.

Greg the Property owner totally accommodating . The cottage is absolutely cool for two or four people . We will definitely book this with another couple later this year . Right on the beach . Had a fire on beach one night , walked the beach everyday . Anyone would love this .

Overall our stay in south haven was wonderful. When we arrived we found the cottage to still be dirty from the previous guests, Gregg was quick to get the cleaning crew in and take care of the issue. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay!

Thoughtfully designed, comfortable and good use of space. Small but bright, filled with what one might need in a vacation property, and then some. Clever storage containers all within reach. Excellent location! Walk into South Haven or enjoy the private beach, firepit, and deck. Gorgeous sunsets! We had the pleasure of meeting the hosts, Ann and Greg. Lovely people and they thought of everything. Self check-in was a piece of cake. This cottage lives much larger than it's footprint. It is very well laid out and gives you the advantage of many hooks, baskets and shelves to keep all of your things in place. High-end finishes, loads of natural light, and creative use of space make this cottage a gem. But honestly, they had me at Smeg! That retro-vibe refrigerator is the cherry on top! We are looking forward to staying here again!

This place was perfect. Exactly as shown and more. When they remodeled this place they thought of everything. Very efficient for a smaller place. Hooks and outlets placed the perfectly! Just a mile walk to town. The beach was beautiful and the people in all the other cabins were great. We have new friends that we can’t wait to see next year. Count us in for next year!!
