beautiful furniture and open house
not the best for cooking dinners, but amazing home

Great location and Very clean.
The master bed was great but the beds in the other two rooms were really just a pull out bed. They were not very comfortable.

location was great
very dark and dingy. stained carpets, price tags on furniture, not set up for renters, kitchen table very wobbly

Beds were comfortable and this historical home was a great size.
Aside from needing a good dusting (literally could taste it and smell it in the air once entering), this property was marketed as having A/C throughout the entirety of the home. When we arrived, the upstairs loft area was miserably hot. The vents were not putting air through. Although there was a window air conditioner, it was not large enough to cool the loft and bedroom upstairs. We were there to see the beaches around Charleston in 90 degree weather. We called support, who did send out two gentlemen within a timely matter to fix the a/c. After pouring at least 15 gallons of water straight into the HVAC, they explained that it should cool the upstairs some, but that it was all that they could do. We relayed this message to Vacasa, and received no response. The worst part about this, was that we had four children that ended up sleeping in the floor downstairs, rather than a comfy bed upstairs. We absolutely would have paid more, to stay somewhere else, If we had known that the kids would be stuck in a hotbox all week. One queen bed, two twin beds and an amazing bathroom upstairs that we couldn't enjoy during the trip due to the lack of airflow. Very disappointing! We paid for a very large home and ended up getting to enjoy 2 bedrooms- which did not meet our needs.

The place was very clean and quiet.
The pictures made the house look bright big and cheery. In reality, the dark wood gave it a very dark and dreary look. Everything was made of dark wood. It was not as big as the pictures. The very narrow winding stairs were not kid, luggage, disabled friendly at all. Neighbor across the street came outside and watched us every time we came in and left.

location was great
the air did not seem to keep up with the heat outside

location is excellent. the house had plenty of room for us to spread out when needed.
kitchen could use some more cooking equipment… an electric skillet would be great!

Home was beautiful and clean, kitchen was stocked with dishes, pans beds were dressed in bright, white linens and the towels were thick and fluffy.
Rental is perfect for a large group and home is beautifully decorated with antiques and elegant furnishings.
Plenty of separate spaces for everyone to relax. Shopping and restaurants are near by just a few minutes drive to the beaches or over the bridge into downtown Charleston.
Alarm clocks or televisions in bedrooms would be a nice option. The quiet...can be an adjustment when traveling.
Lovely welcoming neighborhood with azaleas blooming everywhere.
Everything was wonderful.

The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. The local was very close to most of the activities we did.
Very dark interior. No towel racks in the upstairs bathroom. Difficult to get luggage up and down the narrow stairs.

Private community very helpful neighbors

We loved the rustic cottage with vintage interior. There was ample space for our group of 6, and with the location being so close to Shem Creek you just couldn't beat it!
