Location. Comfort of beds l. Bedrooms a nice size Some staff were very friendly. Pool area and pool bar were nice.
No gym
Pool towels not available until 9.30 sometimes 9.45. You could swim from 9 am so what do you do stay in the pool until the towels come. Ridiculous.
No WiFi by the pool.
Breakfast was a bit mediocre but acceptable
Would have been nice to have drinks service at sunbeds. Most 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in have this.

Great Location, friendly and attentive staff. Room which has been renovated to a high since our last visit provided a great view over the golf course to the sea. Breakfast buffet, although busy at peak times, was managed very effectively by the efficient staff.

Location, pool and breakfast
Pool had broken tiles that cut the kids feet and they didn’t do anything about it.
Staff were a bit rude

Buffet breakfast was good, pastries and cakes excellent, pre-cooked buffet not so great but eggs to order were great. Pool was lovely, plenty of sunbeds. Free parking to rear, valet parking on arrival. Pleasant bar for a late night drink.
Some rooms have been renovated (apparently). Ours wasn't and felt very dated, despite this the bed was comfortable and we paid a reasonable price for what we got.

Overall facilities and location. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Shower in the bath- no walk in. This is poor in a 5 star hotel - and potentially dangerous.

Nothing really

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was free and so easy to go into the hotel. The lockers for golf equipment were a bonus and our golf shoes were cleaned which was really nice. The hotel location was excellent and the reception area was well laid out. It was very easy to contact the reception staff who were always in attendance.
We felt that the bar food and food provided by the restaurant could have been better. The towels and gowns in our room were rather worn and old. These really were our only concerns. The breakfast was excellent and live up to our expectations. We probably would have eaten in the holel most evenings but the one time we did, was not really what we expected for a 5 star hotel.

location
the disabled room was not good- the bathroom is very badly designed. we were moved to a junior suite which was better.

Great location, a short walk from the beach. restaurants, mini golf and kids play area.
Loved the breakfast omelette chef.
Pool area would be amazing in the summer, with view over the sea.

Breakfast and location good, some of reception staff were unhelpful and slow. Bathroom and balcony need updating. Outside terrace area lovely
The bathroom. Reception staff. Bar and lounge area a bit soulless.

great location in vale do lobo, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth paying for the better rooms, they were fab and a great size
air con was very noisy and wasn’t cold enough
pool was way too warm
4.5 / 5.0
The absolute best thing is the heated outdoors pool, it was fantastic! The other great things we loved were the super friendly staff, the breakfast selection, the size of the rooms and the kids club.
I think in general the price point was a bit too high. My only other comment is the wifi being slow.

more 4 star than 5

Location was spectacular. On the beach inside perfectly manicured Vale do Lobo. Breakfast was great.
Parking should be done by the valets and guests must always have parking. Rooms need updating.

old school charm, very clean, wonderful breakfast.
more ambiance in the evenings - suggest more reasonable bbqs by the pool or cocktails to enjoy poolside

Location, Beach
Bedrooms that have not been renovated are awful.
4.5 / 5.0
lovely staff, nice room, lovely pool
the pool deck is old and unsafe(many loose boards) and should be replaced as a matter of urgency.
on occasion the pool deck needed more regularly cleaning.
drinks are generally too expensive at the hotel.
a five star hotel should also have a fully equipped gym.
