Fantastic hotel, great for families. The service was incredible - everyone was great but a special thank you to Barbara who really made our day every morning at breakfast and was so great with our young children. Fantastic location and views - we loved being able to walk straight from the hotel to the beach and along the boardwalk and explore the area. Great facilities and food - we loved breakfast and dinner in the bistro at night. Highly recommend!

Localização
Relação preço qualidade geral. O hotel necessita de uma renovação geral e mais carinho, inclusive de melhorar um pouco o serviço. Pequeno almoço demasiado buffet sem qualquer tipo de personalização.

Loved the position of the property. Breakfast was really good. Staff were amazing
For a 5 star hotel there needs to be a coffee machine in the rooms. Also an iron and board this normally comes as standard in any 5star we’ve stayed in and not charged 15 euro daily. Sockets at the side of the bed also I had a cpap machine that I need to use nightly and this made it difficult to use

location, clean, staff fantastic
can seem a bit dated, but no real complaints

The staff! Just incredible, we have travelled all around the world and both agreed the staff at this hotel are the best we have ever encountered, so kind, helpful, attentive, nothing is too much for them, service always with the biggest smile. The staff really made the experience for us but aside from that the breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we’ve ever had, especially sat out on their beautiful terrace or equally the stunning dining room or conservatory. The beds were incredibly comfortable, very difficult to get out of in the mornings! Immaculately clean rooms. I had the most amazing foot massage in their spa which was reasonably priced. Gorgeous walks near by and in a quiet and serene location. We cannot wait to return!
The outdoor pool was too cold for us (Indoor spa pool was lovely) and the lunch food was not at the same standard as the breakfast but we ate lunch out most days so this didn’t really bother us.

lovely accommodation but needs an update in rooms given the price / very clean / staff absolutely wonderful especially the breakfast staff and Barbara ! Beautiful outdoor grounds and facilities
We ate dinners off site as the food though good was way over priced / designer type meals and the atmosphere was trying to cater to the richy rich rather than the relaxed , enjoyable vibe of the average resort traveller. Needless to say the restaurant was not very busy.

Nothing. It was perfect

It has been many years since my last stay at the Hotel Quinta do Lago but it was very nice to return to this iconic hotel. The main reason for choosing the Hotel Quinta do Lago is its amazing location, close to the Rio Formosa nature reserve. Fantastic pathways and raised boardwalks offer miles of walking and cycling. The Hotel is rather traditional and clearly attracts an older clientele, many of whom return year after year. The pool area is beautiful and the hotel bar offers and incredible position from which to view the setting sun. Finally, our room and bathroom were very nice.
As mentioned the clientele is a little older and understandably the hotel panders to their needs... I found the piano player in the bar quite annoying and thus skipped pre-dinner drinks on the night we arrived. One morning there was jazz music playing at breakfast... enough to put you off your cornflakes! Actually why bother playing any music at breakfast? So, small, stupid things really.

the service is outstanding and is nearby the beach. it has two pools: one for adults and another one for the kids.
the carpets and the furniture in the bedrooms were old. for a beach hotel I don’t like carpets in the rooms

hotel is way too dated, needs immediate refurbishment. staff had attitude. couldn't wait for you to leave breakfast so they can pack up, also some attitude by dinner wait staff and the staff in the bar... just want to go home basically. way too expensive for what you get. I don't see how this is part of leading hotels of the world?!

We enjoyed everything during our stay. The breakfast options we first class, the hotel restaurant was very good and we ate here a couple of times during our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception staff were fantastic and no request was too much for them. Having the always available taxi service was a big plus for us too.
I would suggest the hotel look at some of the furniture in the rooms which is a little dated. More comfortable armchairs instead of dining table style chairs would be better.

The food was delicious and the breakfasts devine
The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind
There were no group yoga or pilates classes available which was a shame

Breakfast was particularly good with a lot of variety and something for everyone. The setting and views from the dining room & terrace were outstanding.
Everyday when the cups were cleared from the tea/coffee tray they were not replaced. I had to ring reception or speak to a member of staff every time in order to get clean cups.

We really appreciate the unstated and consistently high quality of service at the hotel and because of this we visit most years. The food is of very high quality and we enjoyed both the occasional lunch and dinner as well as the breakfasts every day. The choice at breakfast is particularly good - the omelettes are a must have. The service at the pool area is great and health and spa also good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel organised our airport transfers, taxis during the week and our golf arrangements. Everything ran very smoothly.
Room service was not to the same high quality - quite slow with limited choice. Coffee and tea facilities should be automatically provided in the room for convenience. We requested a kettle after a couple of days and this was provided, however, the cups were taken away every day and not replaced, so we had to keep asking for replacements which was a bit annoying. No milk was provided for tea and coffee and we noticed that people were taking milk from the breakfast or dinner service for their rooms for this reason. This is an area that could be improved upon. Otherwise, we would have rated the overall experience a 10.
