Friendly and helpful staff, a nice quiet country pub.
An open fire and good food.
Nothing negative

Breakfast was not available. The room was clean and comfortable and well stocked. We were at the front so had some noise from late drinkers - only to be expected. And early morning traffic. We liked the town very much and only had a 10-15 mins walk into Huntingdon where there were more eating options. Location good for the river and other walks.
Availability of breakfast. The 'cafe' recommended was a take-away with a couple of tables outside which not so great if the weather poor. There are a couple of small supermarkets in the town so making purchases there was an option.

Comfortable & Clean
The green emergency exit light is just above your head when sleeping and really lights up the room. Take an eye mask if you are sensitive to light at night.

Perfect for getting to secret garden party every day. So friendly, they even gave us a lift there one day
We had to leave about 8.30 and no one was around to give the key back to or to ask about the £75 deposit, fingers crossed that'll happen though as left keys in the room

Nothing. Didn’t get to stay, they tried to charge an extra £75 incase of damages. I spent all my on the room, £175 I’m disabled and don’t work I didn’t have the £75 so wasn’t allowed to stay. The best part was I couldn’t get a refund. £175 is a lot of money for me. Waste of time and money. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and never been asked for £75 on top of the price of the room. At least refund me, stupid policy.
All of it.

Pub was easily accessible, food was good, staff and patrons very friendly

Lovely clean and tidy room for an overnight stay, but it was a bit noisy from passing traffic.
Food was below par and I was given the wrong pie!

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, and everything especially the heating worked. The staff were very helpful and on site car parking was available.
The hotel was obviously at the beginning of being refurbished and painted. While it was possible to get an evening meal, breakfast was not available, not even Continental breakfast. But the staff directed us to a tea shop about 3/4 mile away where a good breakfast was available from 09:00.

nice stafff
Struggled to sleep with the bright green security light on the celing..
wasn’t told of the band playing Sat eve until midnight .
The food/ wine/ drinks were average with no wine list or understanding of how to make Irish coffee! we went elsewhere for this and dessert.
breakfast continued in fawlty towers style… the breakfast option on a sunday was only available from 9 so we ended up with a ( v tasty) bacon sandwich walking down the street as we were heading to a church baptism service .

A very comfortable bed in a very clean room. Also, an acceptable evening meal in the bar, though no breakfast served.
A pleasant town to visit.
Some noisy music from next door but it was over by 1030pm or so.
The shower was having a problem and water supply was feeble and noisy. Landlady said she would get it fixed.

We booked three rooms which were all well appointed with extremely comfortable beds. Each had its own name and unique character, with a framed explanation of the history behind each name.
Breakfast was excellent, particularly the Stornoway black pudding!
Our shower was quite weak and the position was a little awkward in the smallish shower cubicle.

Only its FUTURE potential, based on its historic past, and a return to the welcoming and historic Inn it once was a number of years ago.
Sadly run down, poorly maintained and staffed. A “shell” of its former self from yesteryear. It requires very significant and sensitive refurbishment, including the bedroom accommodation and a new professionally and customer focused management.

The location is OK (by a fairly quiet road). The room was clean and well-equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful. No problem with parking.
The website claims that there is food available (it is a pub), but there were no breakfast or evening meals on the days we were there.
Warning: it closes on Sundays at 6. This made (advertised) arrival at 6.30 a little problematical and we ended up hammering on the window for admission.
Monday night was a pub event with an amplified voice sounding loudly in the room.

The staff, the food and the room, all were great
The mattress was to soft and the emergency lighting had the green LED night light function.

The room was very clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub is lively with a good selection of drinks. The location is only a 2 minute drive to Huntingdon we would definitely stay here again.
There isn't anything to not like.

nothing, very poor, not worth the price.
everything is old, heating to working properly, hot water not working properly, door not secured properly, very poor

The full English breakfast was very good indeed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As a woman travelling alone I felt safe. The room was clean and comfortable.
The fire exit light was so bright it lit up the room during the night, whereas the actual light was a bit dim (for working on my computer). The shower was very noisy and a bit variable but was hot and powerful. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

Friendly staff
Asked what time we wanted breakfast the night before and had to preorder what we wanted. Room was freezing, finally got food half an hour later, most of it either stone cold or burnt.

Very easy to get into Huntington, just a 10 minute walk. Room was lovely, very clean, very comfy bed, lovely bathroom with a great shower. A great welcome on arrival. I could not make it to breakfast due to time constraints, so I was offered a grab bag for the following morning. Upon opening the door I found a brown bag containing a tuna roll (my request) a bottle of fresh orange juice, a big bag of slightly salted crisps, and a huge flapjack bar. During all of my years of worldwide travel, much of which has been in the customer centric US, this was new to me.
No comment needed.
