The house was extremely clean and perfect for three people and two dogs. It had everything we needed. The yard was extra huge which our yellow lab loved.

The house on the outside may not look impressive, but the inside is perfect. Well appointed, and impeccably clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the beautiful field.

We came up to visit family in the area. The cottage is placed perfectly between my parents in Thomaston and my aunt in the southern part of Friendship. The location also offers easy access to plenty of coastal attractions and towns. It has everything we needed, and we loved the fresh new interior, especially the great room, with its comfy seating and sweeping views of fields and forest. We will definitely come back.

The property was absolutely beautiful! We were in town for a wedding and we’re able to spend the day just relaxing at the house enjoying the yard and the views around the neighborhood. Geoffrey gave us great recommendations for food to eat in the surrounding towns. All around great experience. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Sea of Grass" in the aptly named town of "Friendship, Maine in mid-September, 2023. We appreciated the extra hospitality shown to us by the owner, Geoff, because we were there when Hurricane Lee hit Maine. Thankfully, the storm wasn't too bad in that area, and we only lost power for 3 hours. But, it was so kind of Geoff to bring over large filled water jugs, a Coleman lantern, and even some tomatoes from his garden! It was also comforting to know that if we needed anything, we could call him and he would be right over. The cottage was adorable, and perfectly pet friendly for our 2 dogs. Such a large yard for our pups to run around in. Definitely one of our favorite vacation rentals ever! Thank you so much!!! We will be back some time in the future.

Geoff met us at check-in and showed us around. The place is great! Super clean, well stocked, and located on a large peaceful property. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids (or my wife and me, and our mothers, in our case). The yard is large and there’s a swing set, which is a nice touch. Kitchen is well stocked which made it easy to enjoy all of our breakfasts and two dinners at home. Bright space. Back deck with chairs. Nearby there’s a local market (Wallace’s) that has good takeout, and a brewery (Odd Alewives) that serves excellent pizzas not too far away. Easy drive to Rockland via back roads. Overall great stay and we hope to return.

We stayed at the cottage while in the area for a Celebration of Life for a friend who had passed. It was a wonderful, calm, open place with everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. The beautiful, expansive lawn in the back felt "all ours". We'd definitely come back.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to spend a month in this wonderful cottage. We were there from July 15 to August 12. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to feel right at home. It even had a garden and we were given free rein to pick anything we wanted. I had the most wonderful squash and salads the whole time. Another bonus to the cottage was the very large shower and the bed was very comfortable. I haven’t slept that good in a long time, with the cool nights and many nights it would be raining. Those are perfect sleeping conditions. It was heaven! The owners live close by and were available if we needed anything and were very helpful with suggestions on places to go and things to do in the area. The town of Friendship was centrally located to some of the popular tourist towns but it didn’t have all the trappings of a tourist town. We would love to return one day.

Great place to stay for our anniversary vacation. Not too far from bigger towns. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and it was very warm inside a couple of days, but cooled down at night. Great place for the dogs as well. Geoff was great with communicating and answering any questions we had.

Served our purpose and was pretty close to where we needed to be
Could use some better lighting in the way of lamps rather than overhead lighting. Otherwise had all that we needed.
Thanks for a nice stay.

The cottage was spotless and just as described! A quiet location, not very touristy which is a plus for us, but close enough for day trips around the area. We loved having Jameson Point Lobster and Wallace’s nearby for amazing food. Geoff was a wonderful host! We had an issue with the heat and he handled it right away and made sure we were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Geoff (and Christina) are very thoughtful and conscientious hosts. The cabin was delightful and just right for our brief stay. We will return again!

My husband and I enjoyed a quick winter stay at Sea of Grass cottage and it was the perfect retreat. Our golden retriever loved the expansive yard, and sitting in the main room with the wood stove and snow falling down was like being in a snow globe. Magical. Geoff was a great host, very welcoming and communicative. Highly recommend!

Lives up to its billing, and then some! Quiet and peaceful.
Our dog was fascinated with the large flock of Canada Geese in the field behind the cottage each day.

We had a wonderful stay, and enjoyed getting to explore Friendship, ME and surrounding areas from this special cottage. Geoff was super helpful and gave us a go to list of places to check out which was so nice. We really didn’t want to go back home after being there a few days, and look forward to returning! Super clean and everything you need to feel at home. And our little dog loved it too…she had a fun time running in the nice open yard, and watching the morning geese. Thanks Geoff!

The home and property provided a nice, quiet getaway for the two of us and our dog. We were able take day trips to Camden, Rockport, Damariscotta, along with hanging out in Friendship. We ate many times at Jameson Point Lobster Company nearby. They have the best lobster and Blueberry pie we have ever eaten!

Excellent cottage, more then we expected! Jeff and Christy were the best hosts. Environmentally aware and just the nicest people. The house has everything you need and some. The view of the garden and fields are magical. Quiet and super clean. We even had fresh veggies form there garden. We were able to bring our kittys and that just made our trip. close to town and the wonderful general store Wallace’s ( it had everything even good pizza) nice artists galleries and farm stands near by. Close to the water and natural walks. We will definitely be back. Friendship is a nice coastal community.

We couldn’t’ have asked for better hosts in Geoff and Chrissy. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived to checking out. The cottage is nicely updated, all amenities provided and centrally located to many parks, nearby towns, etc. we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay at this property and the hospitality was above and beyond. We happened to be there on 90+ degree days so a/c would have been preferred but that was just a roll of the dice. Very clean and comfortable while close enough to the coast for entertainment but far enough for relaxation.

We absolutely loved our stay in Geoff and Chrissy's home! The location was a great jumping off point for exploring midcoast Maine, and the cottage had everything we needed to make the best of the area, from towels, beach chairs and even sunscreen, to a huge lobster pot! The cottage is well-appointed and was such a comfortable home away from home--a great place to chill out after our daily adventures. Geoff and Chrissy were amazing hosts, leaving us a little treat in the fridge and freshly picked veggies from their impressive garden. We appreciated the local recommendations, especially for the local swimming hole and for lobsters off the dock! We were absolutely charmed by midcoast Maine and would definitely stay at Geoff and Chrissy's place again! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sea of Grass Cottage! Geoff was a helpful host, showing us around, leaving us food and activity recommendations, and bringing us firewood. The cottage was perfect - clean, modern, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and spacious. It was an older cottage that has been thoroughly and masterfully renovated to a high standard. Friendship was a very nice, out of the way, and quaint town. There are several lovely preserves in the area and access to the ocean and a freshwater lake. A beautiful and relaxing area and home!

Wonderful stay
Geoff and Chrissy were gracious and welcoming. If you want a truly authentic Maine experience in a rural setting this is for you. Gorgeous stars at night, a working lobster-fishing town minutes away, and peace and quiet -- but also a hike to get to any of the major mid-coast towns. We'd definitely return but the schlep may not be for everyone.

Comfortable and modern cottage
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was a relaxing place to stay while we explored the area. The cottage is very modern with a nice layout. The sitting area was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and I would recommend this one.

Nice house and property
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place. It is your own little house and a nice 2+ acres all to yourself. Our dogs loved the room to run around. Thanks.

Best Place to get away from it all
Geoff and Chrissy are wonderful, responsive hosts. Their place is tucked away and a wonderful place to find peace and tranquility. Bird song is the background music. The house is very comfortable. There is a small town close by and many other towns within 20-40 min. Lots to explore.

Quiet family friendly rental
I stayed here with my daughter and had a wonderful stay. The house had amenities for a three year old including the swing set, coloring materials, bubbles and a wiffleball set up that made it super easy to entertain her. Aside from the child friendly perks, I was welcomed with a personal tour and a welcome present in the fridge. The house was spotless and very comfortable for our stay. Friendship is a quiet town but had just enough to entertain us when we were not exploring Rockland.

Relaxing stay
There is quite a charm to this newly renovated home. Tucked in a quiet area very close to the water and within reach of many things to do. The hosts, Geoff and Chrissy, were very hospitable and are quick to help with any question you may have.

Worth the visit
The property is very pretty with lupines in the yard and blue birds one the swingset. It is obvious the owners put a lot of time and care into this property and I believe it will continue to get better. The location is great if you like preserves, farmers markets, seafood and the ocean. It allows you to discover less crowded peninsulas of mid coast maine while being close to many bigger towns.

Perfect little getaway
A very beautiful and updated home; perfect for a small family or getaway with a partner. Owners were very nice and accommodating, the house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood, and the property was beautiful! It was a short drive to some cute towns and state parks. It had everything we could need for a relaxing weekend and we were also able to bring our cat. Would highly recommend!
