Location is TOP

It was a beautiful place. Almost inside the castle. Super really good location. The decoration is really nice also and the price was ok.

What I don't really like is that check in time is a bit late. At 16:00hs. At 16:00hs we don't have too much time to enjoy the place. You can go for the night and done. The place it's full of electric heaters, however its SUPER cold. Its an old house so it has not isolation. As a detail from someone who works in Marketing, is much usefull to spend some euros in coffee and tee for guest than in ballons. The rest was beautiful and I would recommend it.

Localização excelente, próximo de vários pontos de interesse na cidade. Local fiel às fotos do anúncio, limpo, organizado, atendimento rápido e prestativo do anfitrião. Um lugar único aos pés da muralha.

O estacionamento mais próximo fica a cerca de 300 metros, o que dificulta um pouco com as malas, mas é uma questão de zoneamento da cidade. Isso se deve ao fato de que o local está no coração da Vila, o que é perfeito. Tivemos um problema com o aquecedor de água do chuveiro e, embora o anfitrião tenha sido prestativo com as informações, dois de nós acabamos tomando banho frio.

Great place, fabulus location and definitely recommend to my friends

Location was fantastic. and the view from the bedroom early in the morning, and from the kitchen throughout the day was really nice.

Towels needs replacement. they looked very old. At first, I was doubting about using it, but smelled ok.

Amazing location, the castle is incredible after the daytime crowds have gone.

Location right next to the wall and castle. The Casa is small on 3 levels and very interesting and comfortable.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but guests should realize parking is outside the castle, so the walk in is along narrow cobblestone streets!

Confortável e acessível

localização boa. casa com bom aquecimento, por acaso não estava muito frio. anfitrião super disponível. há um café na porta ao lado da casa o que para quem gosta de um bom pastel de nata, recomendo :) gostei muito da casa em si, excelente para passar um fim-de-semana fora da cidade

não há facas para comer a refeição, havia 3 facas uma enorme, uma com serrilha e outra que mal cortava uma cebola... porém para comer não havia, tivemos de adaptar a apenas garfo e colher. entra vento pela janela grande do quarto e existem várias janelas pequenas no quarto que não se consegue tapar e entra luz quando o sol nasce, fica difícil descansar depois disso.

WOW - Amazing surprise, more than expected.

the stairs up to the bedroom and the stairs down to the bathroom, however the bathroom downstairs is bright, clean, modern and totally great. you don't get a better location. open up the enormous kitchen doors to the castle walls

Superb

The location was amazing, just outside the castle/fortress walls so we could easily walk in to the little city.

It was fairly difficult to get the front door open and required a lot of strength. The property is three levels. The bedroom is up some narrow stairs. The bathroom was on the bottom level, so you had to descend the narrow stairs, and then walk down a narrow spiral staircase to get down to the bathroom, which was a bit difficult in the middle of the night. The property is charming, but if you have mobility issues, I don't think this is the property for you.

idyllic and incredibly charming! A once-in-a-lifetime experience!

To live in a medieval village for a night was a real privilege and I felt totally transported to a different time and place, and amazingly, it came with modern luxuries like the well equipped kitchen and bathroom, an outdoor courtyard and 5G Internet, to name a few. the interiors paid tribute to a time of old while maintaining modern sensibilities. The woodwork and finishes lent to the overall ambience and experience for my family.

nothing at all, but if you arrive in the dark, bear in mind there is a 5 minute trek up some stairs and a dirt road leading to the inside of the castle walls and a courtyard. My 3 year old handled the torch while my husband and I carried bags, so nothing too crazy.

Nice authentic property with a not so nice host, Not for families with little kids

A touch of modern Facilities in an Authentic village house

Location: * The property is located in the edge of the village at the highest point. * In the apartment- 3 floors with steep stairs. * The location pin leads you to a parking lot that isn’t not accessible (blocked road). Bottom line : Not for families with kids and luggage to be carried for 7 min up a steep village. Host: * None of the above is not mentioned in the preview post of the property - lack of transparency! * Approached the host regarding this issue, his answer and I quote “ if you had planned your vacation right you should have known that Ovidos is a steep village……” Nothing more to add….

Unique Stay in Medieval Location

Unique Medieval house right inside the old Medieval city walls makes this place very special. Can walk up onto the town walls from just outside and the Main Street is 1 minute away. A cafe operates immediately next door which is convenient. Spacious apartment with loft bedroom, living room, separate kitchen, charming old style windows. Large shower in (lower level) bathroom with plenty of hot water.

The bathroom is in the basement and smells musty from poor air flow and no openable window. The place needs electric fans on each of the 3 levels. We found it hot even with all windows open as there is no air conditioning. Pedestrians walk right outside the living room windows and some stop to look inside. The cobble stone street outside the apartment is rough so you need proper footwear. No place to hang clothes.

Everything is good. The location is close to the castle.

The problem is during the Mercado Medieval de Óbidos, there is loud music and people screaming until the end of the festival show at every night. The first night was finished at 1:30am and in the weekdays it was finished at 3:30am....

the location is great!

it’s located right next to the entrance of the medieval festival,( to enter the place outside castle) the event run very late until 3am.. the music is way too loud and be prepared you won’t get to sleep until then… I’m with my little boy, he was woken up several times. other then that, our stay is good.

Amazing location + confort !

Very convenient with a nice view from the bedroom. One the incredible and most worthy housing we've had during our trip. Easy to check in and out !

Careful with the stairs going downstairs. We had kids there and at the top of the stairs was not safe, they could have jump 10 feet below.

magical and beautiful! both accomodation and city take you back in the medieval age.

unexpectedly magical. I knew we were going for a medieval stay/experience. but staying in a house inside a medieval walled city was simply unique. the entire accomodation puts you back in the time without taking the conveniences of the modern age like bathroom and supplied kitchen.

parking is tricky. you are not allowed to drive into the city and you car must stay outside the walls. you can though drive inside the first arch to unload luggages and then take it back to outside the perimeter.
