Very affordable and In a good location
The bathroom was extremely unhygienic, it should be getting deep cleaned and bleached almost daily however I saw the same dirt stay there for many days including huge amounts of mosquitos I had to fumigate the bathroom before I used it
Also an FYI if you don’t pay for aircon do not expect to sleep at all, this place is very hot and the roosters start crowing literally outside your bedroom wall at 3 am, as a courtesy from the hosts guests should absolutely be provided ear plugs, I can’t believe they gave no warning of this by the end of my stay I was so sleep deprived and ready to fly home.
Water pressure in the bathroom is non exsistent I couldn’t even wash my hair, had to shower using the outside shower which has no privacy

L’emplacement
Les nuits sont très chaudes sans la
clim (fan seulement)

The location is great, just 5min walking from the beach. The owners are supper attentive. The kitchen and the common areas are nice.
Internet is good enough to work, but there is only one table to work comfortably, the rest of the tables are like small coffee tables.
Apart from the tables to work, the rooms are really hot. There are fans in the room but it’s just Not enough. If you open the window, it helps a little but since there aren’t mosquito nets you’ll be visited by an army of those. If you leave the door open it helps a lot but then you need to worry about tarantulas and snakes. It just needs an ac unit.

Tout est parfait, l’emplacement, les chambres, la propreté

J'ai aimé la cuisine partagée pour se faire de petits déjeuners... Et la déco des chambres
Sans air conditionné, il faisait très chaud dans les chambres.

Owner was super helpful and nice rooms were super clean
Didn’t have a pool

Its the little things that count - the owners were so kind, let us check in early and stored a suitcase for us while we were traveling to Mazunte. Great location, super clean, good fans, and good price. Easy walking distance to La Punta for food/drinks/beach and in a super safe neighborhood. We are grateful to have stayed at Casa Karma!

Our stay at Casa Karma was very comfortable and the vibe of the accommodation is like a hostel but with private rooms. I really liked that! There are common areas and a kitchen where you can hang out and the rooms are quite spacious. The location is very good, not too far from the centre and the beach (like a 10-minute walk).
I didn't notice that the rooms wouldn't have private bathrooms when we booked the accommodation. It was fine after all and very clean, but not ideal not to have your own bathroom. The rooms could easily get stuffy and there was no window or balcony - again, not a big deal! We really enjoyed everything very much.

Creo que el trato de las personas encargadas de la casa es excelente. Mi habitación y los sanitarios siempre estuvieron muy limpios. La zona es muy segura y en general es un muy buen ambiente.
No hay internet.

Really kind, helpful people that run the hostel. They made us feel super welcome and we’re always around for any questions or recommendations. It had a really relaxed atmosphere which was perfect for us and was a 3 minute walk to the beach which was great for watching sunsets! We went during a very hot part of the year so they gave us an extra fan which was very much appreciated. The kitchen was clean and well stocked.

Great location for La Punta. The host was really nice and helped us book a tour. Shared kitchen and a nice garden area was great!
The bed was a little uncomfortable. The curtains don’t completely close so privacy could be an issue.

there are mango trees in the garden

good location close to restaurant bars and the beach
very hot time of the year. only 1 roof fan and pedestal fan not enough to keep us cool during the day or night. shared bathrooms was full of bugs.
4.3
nice big room with comfy bed, shared bathroom was clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating - lent me a hairdryer, kept something I left behind
everything was great( thanks :)
4.3
excellent kitchen, very clean rooms and bathrooms. responsive and helpful hosts
very hot in the rooms, however we stayed in the hottest part of the year and booked a room without aircon so this is to be expected.

great location!

Amazing staff with a kind owner that was always there to help you out. I would recommend staying there if you want a relaxing place to stay just off the main drag in La Punta which made it quiet. The place was extremely clean and organized. I will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Amazing! close to the beach, clean and friendly staff who are very helpful.

The best place I have stayed at in Puerto E, hands down. The couple that run it are really nice and went out of their way to help me. I was leaving on a late flight and they said I could keep using the room as there was no one checking in after me. The other travellers that stayed were cool, down to earth, and the place had a very friendly vibe. I rented a twin bedroom, and it was spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. There was no aircon, but that didn't matter at all, as there were two fans, and it got cool at night. The kitchen is well stocked and there is space for any food you might buy.
If you want Bali-vibes, fun nightlife, excellent hipster / surfer / down-to-earth restaurants, beautiful people-watching, delicious food, and a laid-back vibe for young fun people- La Punta is the place to be. The main section of puerto Escondido - by Zicatela - is more built up, and more of a mecca for national tourists, families, and people that want more expensive hotels.
Within La Punta, Casa Karma is a great location - its close enough (a 7 minute walk) to beach and the main street where all the bars and restuarants are, but far enough away that it's quiet in the evening and you can sleep when the nightlife gets going.
For me, the friendliness of the owners was the best bit, and I wouldn't now stay anywhere else when coming to Puerto E. Thank you!

We had a twin bed room and were very happy with it. In general the hostel was very nice and clean and we felt very confortable there. The room was quite big and the bathroom (upstairs) very nice, always clean and huge. The owner was super friendly and helpful. There is a nice terrace to chill outside.

We had a great time! Gracias a Carlos y Ivan por hospedarnos. La pasemos super con ellos, a conversar, etc. Nos sentimos como a casa, fue super chill.
The place is just in between the beach and the collective stop so it was perfect.
The street is a little noisy with cars, but at night it's totally fine.
Mangoes were not ripped yet, what a shame...

great location close to everything but not noisy in the night . very nice and friendly staff always helpful and willing to answer any questions
the heat can be unbearable at times and even two fans in the room didn’t help.
