the most nature and beautiful of locations
4.5 / 5.0
Located right next to the beach and only a short walk to the nicest beach on the island.
Well built and comfortable with electrical supply.
We really enjoyed cooking in the evening by making our own fires
Was a 20-30 minute walk to the main area of bars by no means a downside but thought it important to let people know. If out later the walk is dark and through the woodland at the end so bring a torch.

The location was amazing, very tranquil, very unique, colourful spot. Very close to the beach and on the waterfront. You could really feel the creativity and personality of the place, as well as the focus on sustainability and authentically eco conscious.
The hosts were very warm and welcoming, had a great time hearing their stories as well as being helpful organising a snorkelling trip and water taxi. The meals prepared were absolutely delicious
Location is on the otherside to the port and where most of the restaurants are, if you have heavy bags recommend getting the water taxi. This also means it's a little more difficult to go out after dark unless your happy going through the forest in the dark when the critters come to life.
Due to the rustic style, if you're not comfortable with insects or crabs or other unidentified wildlife in close quarters this may not be for you

The last most beautiful place on little Corn Island.

A dreamy location. The accommodation is clearly a labour of love, with rustic cabanas that embody ecological living. Located in a gorgeous part of Little Corn Island, the beach and surrounds are enchanting. Our hosts were really responsive and helpful in providing information we needed, and arranging our transportation. They are also really environmentally conscious, which was delightful. The onsite meals were delicious; they have an excellent cook. It was also a great opportunity to meet other travels as we dined together in the evening, which is great if you are just starting a trip around Nicaragua. Breakfast is 10USD pp and dinner is 20USD pp. There are hammocks aplenty. It is the perfect place for some island paradise.
Not really a negative, but it would be sensible to pack a head torch, because it is dark walking back to the accommodation from the main village area at night. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of nature but, if you are a light sleeper, we’d recommend packing ear plugs.

Ramon is absolutely amazing, this peaceful island getaway is located in a quiet part of the island. I recommend getting groceries and cooking in the outdoor stone oven and great place to unwind, disconnect and immerse yourself in nature.

I loved the atmosphere, the family and the employees, the surrounding, the garden, the dogs and other animals, the food, the quietness, the house where I stayed, the reason they built this little paradise. Pure love !
… that I had to leave.

The place was amazing.
Everything looks beautiful and interesting.
All the huts and tree houses are hand made so you really get the feeling of staying in a natural place where you can truly connect with nature.
The kitchen is a fire kitchen so you have to cook with fire what was a great experience.
Of course it's more hard to cook this way but if you view it as a activity then it's great fun.
The owner was very friendly and open for a chat also I got the feeling that he really wanted us to learn something at the place.
I truly recommend staying at least for a few days at the place when you are in little corn island.
The only downside of the place for us was that it is quite expensive to stay there.
I think 40$ a night is for me a little bit too much but still it's worth it going there.
Also the restaurant there is expensive of course you get great food with good quality and in the end it's not too expensive because you get a lot for your money but for me it was too much to eat there every day.
I wished there would be a simple Gallo pinto for 5$ for breakfast or maybe in general more cheap options.

Ensueños has the most beautiful location in the whole island. The family who is running it is so lovely and cooks amazing! They have a huge garden with many plants, fruits, vegetables and animals, which they were happy to show us around! The treehouse we stood in had a great view!
Only thing I could mention here is, that the entrence into the treehouse was a bit small. But if you don‘t have any physical problems it‘s not a problem at all.

This place is quiet and relaxing. Rustic but artistically beautiful. The vibe is so calm and nice. The owners are super sweet and helpful. It feels like home. Plan to walk a lot.

Beautifully made accommodation with bamboo huts really close to the beach and reef. Secluded from everything so really quiet area. Owner is really nice! The bed was huge and really good and it had a nice mosquito net.
A bit more out of town than we expected (20-30 minutes), especially at night going to town through the jungle was a bit of an effort. And we had to, because cooking on wood fired stove was not really our thing and dinner was pretty expensive (20$ p/p) to eat in. We had a good time, but in our opinion it was to expensive for the simple (but nice) hut and shower with very little water.

Loved the location, the beach is so pristine and there's a coral reef you can swim out to and snorkel.
A water taxi can be arranged by the property owners and I highly recommend it as the walk from the pier is about 25min (water taxi was $8).
The bed was comfortable and the net kept the bugs out.
I had a late lunch which was delicious (even though the portion of food was rather small $12) and it was served by the beach which was super lovely.
There is only one spot on the property where you can charge your phone and the doors were locked most of the time I was there, so I actually never got a chance to charge my phone. Good thing I had my own charging station.
There are 2 communal toilets that are not very close to the cabin I was staying at which is inconvenient at night.
There is no soap provided anywhere even though there is only one sink and one shower. Soap would be a nice.
It's impossible not to bring in sand into the cabin and there was no place to rise my feet. I found an abandoned bucket on the property, filled it water and used that to rinse my feet. Maybe that's something that can be offered as a standard to keep the sand out of the cabins.

It‘s a real hidden paradies in the middle of the jungle- we really liked that!
