I loved the hospitality of John and her partner. The house was very very clean and the room was spotless. They were very caring and they always wanted the best for the guests. They serve gorgeous breakfast and they ask what's the convenient time for breakfast. Which make it very easy for us.
All was fine.

I really loved the hot breakfast! It was really filling so meant we could have a late dinner/early tea. We had plenty of fruit and cereal to choose from on the days we didn’t want a hot breakfast.
I also really appreciated how they checked if we were comfortable with dogs. When we checked in, I heard that there was a dog and as someone that is scared of dogs was quite wary but they were really accommodating and I felt comfortable.
Lovely hosts!

A nice quite, peaceful location just off the beaten track but close enough to a selection of good pubs, we used the Crown about a mile away as the local pub do meals after 6pm.
Host was spot on.
Breakfast…no punches pulled there..the full English, the full works.
Nothing to windge about really

Facing outward into the garden and was relaxing. Very accommodating hosts and some very friendly pets as they have dogs and cats. Kitchen well appointed and appliances easy to use and modern - always helpful when self catering
Not the easiest to find as not overly sign posted. The lodge is a beautiful building but the mattress is larger than the base and as such over hangs which means you can fall off if not careful! The TV in the main lounge could do with a bracket that allows it to swing out more fully as the angle of turn is not such that you can easily see the tv from the Sofa or from the dining table. The TV also buffers at certain times of the day.

We had an excellent stay here. The hosts Alia and John were warm, welcoming and friendly, and provided a very comfortable, clean well equipped room with everything we could need. The attached bathroom was huge (as it was a wet room also suitable for persons with disabilities), and the shower was really good. The breakfast was plentiful and very well cooked each day, with all the choices we could want. The best thing was the flexibility given by our hosts - we could choose the time of breakfast and there were no restrictions on coming and going. It was a really homely and cosy place, and it was lovely to get to know our hosts and to meet their dogs! Will definitely recommend!
We had a slight issue with the drainage in the shower room on the first night in that the water was not going down but our host sorted it as soon as we told her and the next day it was fine. The mini fridge in the room made a fair amount of noise during the first night, but once we had figured out how to turn it down or off, that was no longer a problem.
