Lovely place and the location is amazing! Perfect if a very firm mattress is what you prefer, unfortunately it's not our preference so sleep was challenging. Property is changing owners so changes may be made. We'd definitely consider staying here again despite the extra firm mattresses.

This was my second time here. The location was a short walk to my meetings in Stuart auditorium. The views of the lake from the front yard and the backyard are perfect, and the yard is beautifully cared for. Inside the house is warm and cozy and has everything you need for your stay.

Views and more views. Very peaceful. Heaven on Earth.

This lovely vacation home is a place I will definitely revisit over and over again. Whether siting outside or inside, the location is perfect to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The house is just a short walk to the lake and to other activities around the lake. Its home away from Home.

Very nice cottage in a wonderful location with views of Lake Junaluska and the mountains. Many extra comforts and decor details were appreciated as well as the fenced back area for pets.

We loved our long weekend getaway! This was perfect for great views and perfect amount of space. This home had everything we needed wish we could have stayed longer. Owners reached out to make sure we were good and to let us know they were there with just a phone call!

WE had such a great time again at this property.

The home was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed waking up in the morning and looking at the view both front and back. Everything was as expected and the host was easily accessible to us.

We do love staying at Junaluska Escape. The home has been refurbished & looks very nice. We liked having the extra 1/2 bath. The Lake Junaluska grounds are always beautiful & perfect for walking. The back yard view is exceptional. Hope to one day get there when the leaves are perfect. Tks again.

We hiked daily in the beautiful Pisgah National Forest (they allow dogs) each day and at night came home to a comfortable, relaxing Lakeview for the evening! Also took a walk around the lake each day on a wonderful paved pathway. The house is fully equipped inside and a lake view patio outside as well as a sun room on the other side of the house with a different view of the lake. We have stayed here several times and will be back!

This lake cottage was perfect for just the two of us and a well behaved small dog. Mother Nature put on a beautiful springtime show.

We arrived at the location at 3:00 PM EST, and we first noticed the spectacular views. The place was serene, clean, cozy, and welcoming, and we highly recommend it!!

We highly enjoyed our stay. The house was very well prepared, clean, organized and Wilson was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommended

We loved everything about our 5 day stay. Western North Carolina is so beautiful and one of our favorite places to be. Being able to walk all round the lake is unusual as no houses own the lake front. We enjoyed the coffee shop and Crepe and Custard, and eating in Waynesville in the evening. The home had plenty of room and was very comfortable, We were lucky to be able to have a quick chat with the owners, on their way out.

The moment we walked in we felt like we were in heaven. This apartment provides the most beautiful views which there are no words to describe.
Charlotte and Wilson are such gracious hosts. We appreciated the opportunity to attend Longs Chapel Methodist Church with them.
We will definitely be returning very soon.

Great views, homey/relaxing environment and wonderful lake community close to the beautiful mountains! Hiked by day and walked the paved lake path each evening. Relaxed on the patio both in the morning with coffee and in the evening with husband and canine companion. Two family members joined us for a couple of days and loved sharing the experience with us. Got to meet the hosts who are very warm and friendly people! We have been there before and are going again.....

Nature put in a grand show during our stay at the cozy cottage. It was just big enough for the two of us.

Very clean and accommodating. We enjoyed the location also. Would not stay here again because the living room furniture and bedroom to the right need replacing due to age and cushion comfort. Other than replacing the coffee pod machine with a higher quality one the other areas were alright.

This was our 25th anniversary trip. Very much enjoyed staying in this lovely, comfortable home. Nicely furnished and well-equipped, very warm and cozy (stayed in February). Next time we hope to stay in the summer or fall time of the year.
Thank you so much for sharing this lovely home with us.

We had a great time at this home. The view from the picture window was awesome! The Autumn leaves were just spectacular! There were many activities available in the surrounding area.

Beautiful views from every window. Beautiful & comfortable furnishings & decor. Walk around lake is wonderful. Can’t wait to return.

The house was clean, well arranged for being social with home comforts without being cluttered. So many little conveniences! The back yard had a fence for our dog to be free while we relaxed by the firepit with a view of the lake. The one day we had more substantial on and off rain, we were warm and dry in the enclosed porch which had another lake view and more comfy chairs. Bed was comfortable as were the towels. The filtered water was a bonus for us to fill up water bottles for our daily hikes, saving us money. Location was on a hill, leaving just a short walk to the "walking path" which winds around the lake. Very quiet/private. LOVE this rental and hope to return soon!!

This home was perfect for my purposeful sabbatical. Close to the lake with a large picture window view of the lake from the dining room table and of course from the outdoor living space.

This cottage was perfect for our getaway to the mountains. We spent much of our time relaxing and enjoying meals in the the comfort of the cottage. We also enjoyed reading and listening to music in the large screen porch and yard with garden and lake views. The walking trail around the lake is a highlight not to be missed and there was easy access to golf, shopping and restaurants.
The hosts have thought of every detail to make this a five star rental! Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage at Lake Junaluska. We started most days on the sun porch, and ended them by the backyard fire pit. Great views of the lake and grounds. We enjoyed walking the lake trail, as well as the local coffee shop (and ice cream). There are lots of activities on the grounds (pool, kayaks, SUPs), and it’s a very peaceful and beautiful place. The owners are very nice, and have done a great job of equipping this rental with everything you will need for a great trip.

This apartment is perched on top of a bluff—there are no stairs (which is a plus)! The views are beautiful and the house itself is exactly like the pictures!
