Moonrise Cottage was a wonderful end to our vacation in CO! We had been in Denver and the Colorado Springs area and finished up our time at the cottage. Erin has appointed the cottage with everything you could possibly need. We were pleased with the cleanliness, comfort, and detailed guide book that included all the directions needed for use. It was a perfect place to escape the busy tourist areas for some quiet restful time, yet was close enough to easily access activities we wanted to do. We would highly recommend Moonrise Cottage!

Wow - what a gem! This listing caught our eye and did not disappoint! This home is super clean and has everything! Traveling with young kids is tough and the property manager made things so much easier with communication and recommendations. This home is located directly across from some great restaurants and a playground, making it perfect for families. It is convenient to so many attractions: Cave of the Winds, Old Colorado City, Cliff Dwellings and more! If you are looking for a place for your family - trust this mom, choose this place for a comfortable, clean and convenient stay in beautiful Colorado!

This is a great property for our family during our time in the Colorado Springs area. The property manager is very responsive to our needs throughout the week. The house was tidy with plenty of linen, seasonings, and space. It snowed during our stay so the house got a bit chilly at night but nothing the fireplace couldn't mitigate. We cooked a bit for the week and there are plenty of dishware and cooking pots to make our spread. Very pleased and will book again if we get the opportunity to come back to the area!

We stayed in this ultra cozy place and it turned out to be as much of a highlight as Pike's Peak or Garden of the Gods. Everything seems to have been thought of for our comfort. Remote control fireplace was an epic touch. The Mucky Duck and The Pantry, less than 100 yards away, were amazing off the path finds. The Mucky Duck brunch on Sundays is a must.

The cabin was so cute and great for our family. The girls loved the bunk room. It was well appointed and had a lot of starter supplies which was a plus. We have stayed in multiple cabins in GMF and chose this one for our stay this time as it is pet-friendly, and we needed to bring our dog. I was worried about the road noise due to the location right in town but it was not an issue! Still felt so quiet and peaceful. The master bed was kind of soft for our taste, but this is personal preference and not an indictment on quality. Erin was super helpful and responsive - she even sent over late night cleaning supplies when one of my girls was sick unexpectedly. We would stay here again. =)

It's home away from home. So clean and well appointed with all we needed. Everything worked perfectly inside and out. We absolutely loved the location and small town delights (home made cinnamon rolls from The Pantry and pizza and catfish dinner from the Blue Moose). It's so peaceful and safe. I took the dog for a walk multiple times all around the pond in the dark and enjoyed the Blue Moose late night music. Everyone you passed by said "hello" with a smile. The outdoor propane firepit was especially delightful because we sat outside, enjoying a cup of tea, watching the groups of mama deer and little ones prance right in front of us and listened to the enchanting sound of the fast moving creek across the street. So close to Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, off-road Jeep rental, even super-Walmart just 10 minutes is a huge plus. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

I can't begin to explain how amazing our stay was at Moonrise Cottage. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The town was adorable with several great places to get breakfast or dinner in a pinch. The location was close to all the sites in the Springs area. Our son is at USAFA for a couple more years. We hope we can stay in the Moonrise Cottage again on our next trip to Colorado Springs. Thanks again, The Cusick Family from Newton Kansas.

The inside of the house was good, great kitchen!
We only wished it had more appeal on the outside (yard, seating, etc). The street out front is busy and somewhat noisy.
Eating at The Pantry was probably the highlight of our stay…….eating outside there was awesome! Would definitely recommend it!

Great views, vibes and accessibility to ALL the things! My littles loved the bunk room and fresh “new to us” toys. The games helped entertain in the evenings and it was well equipped with everything you could need. Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Seven Falls, and a family float trip all within reach. ❤️

My family of 6 traveled from Tulsa, OK for a lacrosse tournament at the Air Force Academy. The home was perfect and gave everyone enough privacy and space. Amenities in the house were great and had everything we needed to cook meals with when we were there. The ice cream shop, restaurant, and bar within walking distance was an added bonus! Highly recommend!

Our family cannot say enough wonderful things about Moonrise Cottage and Erin. The photos and description of the cottage do not do it justice. The property sets in such a cute town where you can walk to breakfast, coffee and also just sit on a bench and read while enjoying the mountain view. We found the location to be perfect and not in a busy, high traffic area yet only 10-15 minutes from Colorado Springs and other attractions. The cottage itself was immaculate/exceptionally clean and Erin has thought of all the comforts of home you might need during a vacation. Our family especially enjoyed the kitchen items (we cooked in the cottage several meals), grill, French press coffee maker, washer and dryer, charge cords for devices, WiFi, and many more comforts during our stay. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 and I would stay here again and recommend to a friend in a heartbeat! Erin was also wonderful about answering questions about things to do in the area and sending plenty of information for an easy check-in and check-out. She was also available by text during our stay with questions. We have stayed in several rental homes and this was the BEST experience by far!

The house was perfect for a family. The kids room is well appointed and located in such a way that it is well insulated from the rest of the house. It is perfect for putting the kids to bed and the adults can stay up and watch tv. The beds are very comfortable. The house is well equipped with high end items. Kitchen is well stocked. One of the best rentals I’ve had. Location is great. There is a lot to do and see within very short driving distance. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this little gem for 3 days while fly fishing at Eleven Mile, and it was perfect in every way! The kids room and toys were very much enjoyed by our little one and the nature was right outside including a mule deer munching outside the back window and a bunny that visited daily on the side. The town shops, park, and diner were favorites as well. The home had a first aid kit that came in handy when our toddler took a tumble and the fans kept the home comfortable and relaxing. This was a great place. The location was perfect, across the street from a few local restaurants and a park/playground for the kids. The place had everything you needed. Kids loved the bunk beds and all the toys. There were even toys and a bed for the dog. Such an easy jumping off point to go to Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs. Highly recommend and we will be back this summer or fall!

Great stay, the cottage was very comfortable and came with everything we could’ve needed for our quick getaway! Loved being such a short walk from the shops and Restaurants. Only suggestion I have would be a set of curtains on the front window in the king room to block the light from the post office across the street at night, which is not really a big deal. Would definitely stay again!

Great area. Host provided pamphlet to local attractions. This helped in deciding which attractions to do and which not to do.
The only con that my family had was that there was only one TV in the house. Normally we like at least two. One for adults and one for teenagers.
