Nearly 5k sq ft with 5 bdrm/5.5 baths and located on the number one handicap hole on The General golf course with views of holes 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16! A one-of-a-kind location on over 2 acres of land. About 20 min from Downtown and Chestnut Mtn! Minutes from golf, hiking, horseback riding, boat rentals, fishing, indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center and game room at the Owner's Club!

Built as an executive golfers dream home, this custom home features views of holes 14 & 15 plus distant views of 12, 13 & 16 on the General! The main level is open, yet separate with two living areas divided by a two-sided stone gas fireplace surrounded by windows with panoramic views. The defined dining room and gourmet kitchen with a gas stovetop island is perfect for entertaining. A master suite on the main level makes for easy living. The second master suite occupies the entire upper floor with his and her en-suites and an enormous walk in/through closet! The lower level is a great space for guests to unwind with another gas fireplace, wet bar, and a walk out paver patio to enjoy those great views. This level features a game room (with a pool/ping pong table, dart board, brand new TV and another wet bar and beverage fridge!), a bedroom with a private bathroom, and two more bedrooms that share a bathroom. The bedroom pictures in the lower level are not up to date but there are two queen beds in the tiled bedroom. We also swapped out the twin bed with a queen in the third bedroom in the lower level.

Brand new deck with gas fire table and grill right off the kitchen. Beautiful screened in porch connected to the deck! Brand new 7 person hot tub! There are so many outdoor games as well (pickleball court, basketball, bucket ball, two cornhole sets, bocce, disc golf, frisbee, and Kan Jam)! Go sledding in the front yard (we have sleds)! Hiking trails are within walking distance! Whether you want to take advantage of the beautiful home inside or all of the outdoor activities, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy! Welcome to some of the most beautiful land in Illinois. The Galena Territory is a semi-private, 6,800-acre private recreational and residential lake community located six miles outside the historic city of Galena in Northwest Illinois. Nestled near the center of The Territory is Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa, known for its 63 holes of championship golf and open to the general public.

Using a vehicle is the easiest way around the territory but there are plenty of trails and roads to walk on!

The garage is not available for use but there is plenty of parking. The driveway can easily accommodate six vehicles!

We have a Tesla wall charger installed in the garage. It is compatible with any EV as long as you have the appropriate adapter for non-Tesla vehicles. Please contact me if you would like to use the charger during your stay!

That house was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone, and the accommodations were top notch. The owner was very responsive and extremely helpful during the trip. Would definitely come back and stay at this house.

We again had a great time at this property. The space accommodates our family perfectly. The theater room was a new addition since our last stay and that was fun. Since the weather cooperated, we spent time at the pool & splash pad at the owners club. It's a great home.

This home is beautiful and spacious with lots to do right within the home and in the surrounding area. The kitchen is well equipped. We used it alot because we like to cook our own meals. The game room and theater room were great for family time. It was a bit hot while were there so we didn't do much with the fun outdoor activities but the club pool was a hit for cooling off. The house was very clean and beds were comfy..Our family loved gathering here! Our host, Kyle, was quick to respond to any questions or needs that we had.

Plenty of activities for all ages. The on-site pickle ball court was a hit for all ages. Down stairs game room and theater room were big hits as well.

This was our second stay at this property. It is the perfect place for our family of teens to older adults. Everyone has their own area of the house to retreat to. The new theater room was a huge hit plus all the games in the lower level keeps everyone as busy as they care to be. This property has everything a group or family could possibly want or need. We are already talking about our next year’s family vacation. Thanks so much Kyle for providing us with such a perfect place to stay!

This was a beautiful home with all the amenities - including a Game Room with a pool table and some video games. The Theater Room was a Big Hit. The house had plenty of room for our party of 10. We all ate together but when we went to our rooms, it was our own space. Lots of room yet cozy when we wanted quiet time. Just a wonderful weekend for all. We even shot a few basketball hoops together which we had not done for several years. It felt good. If you choose this home for a weekend get away, you will not be disappointed.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. Plenty of beds and bathrooms made our stay so comfortable. The views from the living room were amazing with lots of wildlife to watch. Every possible need was provided for, from umbrellas and baby furniture to the well-stocked kitchen which made our meal prep fun vs frustrating! We have stayed in many VRBOs and can say that this one tops our list!

This is the second time we have stayed at this beautiful home, since we enjoyed it so much the first time. We were a group of 12 family and friends, ranging from 14 years old to 82. There is ample room for people to spread out, a game room that the teens enjoyed for ping pong, and this year we also ventured out onto the pickleball court. We highly recommend this property (as long as you don't book it for the weekends we want it for!) :)

Perfect spot for 3 families of 4 for the weekend. 2nd time we have booked this property and the additions of the video games in the basement were a hit with the teenage kids (and a few adults). We all had a great time. The place is well stocked with all the pans, dishes, etc you could need as well as a bunch of spices in case you forget any. Only recommendation I'd have is to replace the grill burners as they are worn and it really flares up in spots. I'm sure we will be back!!

This property was simply amazing. The home had places for our entire group to gather or find a quiet place to read or nap. The basement game room was perfect for the kids to be kids and not disturb the entire house. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plently of very comfortable beds. Bravo for a beautiful house and host!

I would highly recommend this property. It exceeded our expectations and was the perfect home for our stay. There were many activities on site to keep our tween and teen boys busy all day. The owner has thought of every amenity one could want or need and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location is beautiful and so peaceful we didn’t want to leave. The owner answered my questions immediately and I would not hesitate to book this property again.

This property is beautiful! We had a wonderful time. It backs up to the golf course, so we could go walking; hot tub was fun in the cold weather; the kids loved the ping pong table and game room. The property was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and lots of room for our extended family. The views are beautiful! The host was particularly accommodating and responsive to us during our stay when we had some unusual situations develop, and we appreciated so much all of the accommodations they made for us! We would definitely recommend this property!

This was our first trip to Galena territory and a memorable one for all of us! Kyle was a gracious host with a great house and his follow-up was excellent!

Our multi-generational extended family enjoyed our stay at this property. Beautiful home, fully stocked with many extras, drawers are labeled/organized which makes it much easier to navigate during the stay. Host is super responsive if any issues arise. Would definitely recommend this home!

Fantastic - A step above other Galena Territory rentals

We’ve rented five houses in the Galena Territory. Always a big mixed family group (infants, toddlers, grandparents, etc). This was by far the best. Some of the highlights: - Space: photos don’t do justice to how expensive the interior is. The first floor is massive and open. Multiple people can use the kitchen at the same time. - Setting: the house is on a beautiful hill looking out at the golf course. It is totally private and set far back off the road. You won’t see or hear any neighbors or cars. Supplies: the best “stocked” rental I’ve ever seen - high chair, toiletries, great bedding, multiple coffee pots, plastic wrap and ziploc bags, every utensil imaginable and great serving dishes / pots / glassware, etc. Great shape: clearly a well loved and cared for home, not a beat-up rental. Higher build quality than other nearby houses (beautiful masonry, woodwork, built-ins, etc). Impeccably clean. Just a heads up that it is at the “end” of a one of the roads in the territory, so you’ll have to backtrack out to get to the owners clubs etc. Not a far drive (5-10 minutes) - but load your map on your phone before you leave the house, the cell service can be spotty in Galena Territory! We’ll be back soon!

This was a beautiful well maintained property, it was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was extremely spacious and had a great homey feeling. We would definitely stay here again. Never had to deal with the Property Manager, only the owner and they were very responsive.

Amazing Galena Getaway!

Amazing Galena Getaway!

Thank you so much to our hosts! We had a group of family with ages ranging from 5- 85(!) and this place had all the accommodations we could have asked for. The kitchen was fully equipped to make meals and snacks for a large group. The linens were very clean, very comfortable beds and had plenty of towels. The only suggestion I would make is the clarify that while staying at the accommodations, the “Owner’s Club” (not the hotel!!) is where the shared pool and activity center is located. We made the mistake of heading out when it was dark and got a little turned around on roads with no lights and no GPS available (all is well and now makes for a funny story, but scary in the moment!!). The town of Galena is very close and we found all the groceries we needed at the small country store in the territory. The scenery was perfect, a large first floor table that was great for family game time, a pool table and checkers in the game room, and several areas for the kids to get cozy and watch a movie. Thanks so much!
