About this cottage rental
Stylish double fronted Victorian fisherman’s cottage, superbly located in a quiet street, a moment’s walk from the beach, harbour and Whitstable’s lovely shops & restaurants.
Bexley cottage is spacious and lovingly renovated to a very high standard. Inside you will find vintage pieces paired with comfortable beds and luxurious linens. We offer an outdoor courtyard with Weber BBQ and Woodburner for cosy nights in. Free on street parking means once parked you won’t need your car again!
The cottage is spacious and set across two floors. Downstairs you will find a large kitchen-diner, and a separate lounge with sofas and armchairs for relaxing after a long day on the beach. The courtyard garden provides a sunny spot for a morning coffee or evening BBQ.
The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. The range has two ovens and six rings so you can let your imagination run riot!
The dining table is situated in front of the Wood Burning Stove so you can enjoy your meal in front of the fire or relax in the fireside armchair while you chat with the chef!
After dinner you can retire to the comfortable living room which offers the perfect place to relax; two sofas and an armchair mean that there’s plenty of space for everyone and the large flat screen TV is equipped with an amazon firestick offering access to all your favourite TV Apps. We also have a DVD player and comprehensive DVD library of films for young and old.
The kitchen diner opens onto a small private courtyard equipped with a bistro table and chairs and BBQ.
Up an elegant flight of stairs to the second floor and you will find two comfortable and well proportioned rooms and a luxurious upstairs bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a triple bunk (a standard double below and a single above). We offer superb pocket sprung mattresses and luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding and towels.
The bathroom is so pretty with it’s original fireplace and encaustic tiles. It truly combines style with function; the perfect place to enjoy a long hot soak in the tub or an invigorating power shower.
The cottage is furnished throughout with a mixture of vintage pieces collected on our travels and comfortable contemporary furniture. Families with children are very welcome and a travel cot, high chair and baby monitor are available on request. A maximum of two well behaved dogs are also welcomed for a small extra charge. Please inform us in advance.
We are keen supporters of the arts and there are many original paintings on the walls, many of which are painted by local artists. Please enquire if interested in owning your own, we can put you in touch with the relevant artist.
