Immaculately clean. Beautiful accommodation. Quiet setting. Everything you need in a holiday let. I wish I'd had more time to appreciate and make use of it. In the heatwave, the Summer House remained beautifully cool, and it was especially nice to make use of the electric fan. Hosts were very friendly. Nice area, all 20 mph. I saw a black squirrel on the lawn opposite - never seen one before!
I shared some feedback with the hosts about the light levels at night being high. They pointed out that the lights outside the Summer House had been left on all night, so I'll know for next time. But would definitely benefit from black out curtains or blinds overall. Otherwise all perfect.

Pretty much everything! Mark was very helpful and gave us every opportunity to ask him if there was anything we needed. The room is a decent size, spotlessly clean and well kitted out. The Summer House is located a short drive away from Cambridge in a quiet location, within walking distrance of local shops and two local village pubs (one which does lovely Thai food and another that does very nice Napalese food - we tried them both!). We very much enjoyed our stay and would stop here again the next time we're in Cambridge.
For us the mattress on the bed was on the firm side but we know this is very subjective. You need to bring your own shower gel. These are both very minor points though and I wouldn't let them put you off.

Very cosy, clean, and well equipped cottage. Very friendly hosts. Nice pub and Thai restaurant nearby. Cambridge easily reachable by bicycle.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

This property was well equipped and much thought was given for the niceties of short stay / living. The sheets were clean and self catering items were well provided for. Parking was off street and in a very residential area. Very nice general ambiance. Easy drive into town.
The bed definitely needs replacement. TV connections should be improved.
4.5
Lovely annex at the back of the main property. Really well equipped with a sizeable bathroom and good shower. Comfortable bed and good kitchenette. WiFi good for streaming
The vertical blinds on the wall to ceiling windows (facing the main property) had exposed window on each side (only around half a centimeter). Walking through the back garden of the main house to get to the property.

we were met by the host Mark and he was very welcoming and obliging, nothing was too much trouble for him. We entered our accommodation and it was the highest of standards. It was extremely clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. Coffee Tea and a large milk in the bar fridge was a lovely touch. Dinner at the local The Crown suggested by the host was just perfect for our last night stay. You didnt want for anything and if you did the host was always available via What’s App.

Location great. Easy access from the A14 and a 5 minute drive from the centre of Cambridge and it seems to be an easy bus ride too. Lovely village location - nice place to go for a run in the morning. Parking great. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Pint of milk in the fridge was great. Bedding is good quality and the shower is nice.
Only thing I would miss if I stayed more than a couple of nights would be an oven. Otherwise brilliant. Only minor issue as microwave and hob provided.

The Summerhouse was clean, furnished in good taste, and had most things we needed. Our host was helpful and friendly. He provided us with the milk of our choice on arrival and a change of towels during the week. Girton is close to Cambridge city centre, so it is easy to get anywhere. It is considerably cheaper than a hotel in central Cambridge.
People should not be misled by the description or the photos of this property. It is basically a large bedroom with a good en suite shower bathroom and a basic kitchenette in an alcove off the bedroom. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and the only place from which the TV can be watched is from the bed, There was no means of making good coffee so we bought and donated a cafetiere. It is best to regard the Summerhouse as an abve average, large hotel room. It is better suited to a short business stay than a holiday. It is severely lacking in storage space for clothing etc.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Nicely thought out had everything we needed.
A little further from town centre than initially expected but on bus routes so easy enough to work around.

On the coldest days of the year it was toasty warm which was much appreciated. Furnishings were just what was needed.
Quite difficult to locate in the dark. Kitchenette was very limited - only a microwave, no hob. - this could have been clearer. if we had been ther in daylight, outlook would have been challenging as looking into owners’ property.

Nice, clean accommodation in a quiet location.
There was only one negative, the lack of normal tv.

The Summer House has everything one needs to spend a few days in Cambridge. It is very close to Girton College: only a 10-15min walk. And it is very close to a bus stop, so it is easy to get to the city center. Also, Mark and Jane are very nice and always very diligent! I would definitely stay in the Summer House again.
Nothing. Everything was nice!

Comfy beds, nice spacious room, useful small kitchen area, generous provision of coffee, tea, milk and toiletries.
Spacious bathroom friendly welcome.
Blinds could not be lifted, I.e. little daylight. Not clear that you cannot watch terrestrial TV. No big deal but would be good to know in advance.

Location very good bus stop close by. Co op shop near .
No heated radiator in the bathroom. Difficult to dry towels. Had to keep the window blinds closed for privacy. Only a microwave grill to heat food .

Rey comfortable, easy to use. Detached and peaceful.
We got in a mess with the tv but could have been our fault!

A new, modern, cosy summerhouse, easy parking. Quiet, privacy. City centre of Cambridge easy to reach. There is a lot to see in Cambridge, good atmosphere, nice places to eat and drink.

Mark was very communicative before the stay and available to contact if we needed him throughout. The house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. It had a very homely vibe which was appreciated.
I could have probably done with another pillow as the one provided was fairly thin, although I understand some people prefer this.
I also wasn’t a fan of the artwork situated above the bed as I was anxious the heavy wooden frame was going to fall on us if accidentally knocked.

Everything about the accommodation was very good: the bed was comfortable; the shower was better than I'm used to at home; the small kitchen area was well equipped; and everything was spotlessly clean. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and the area extremely quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. It made a nice change from the usual big faceless hotels we usually stay in, and the absence of a long traipse through a maze of corridors to get to your room was a blessing too.
The only thing that could have been better was that it could have been a bit nearer to the centre of Cambridge, as 3 miles was a bit further than we wanted to walk and on Sundays the buses only came every hour. On the plus side though, at the weekend, it's a quick drive to somewhere about a mile from the centre where there is some free on-street parking. This allowed us to avoid the traffic and high parking charges in the centre.

The host was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. He was also great with communicating over WhatsApp. The house is a standalone cottage which was great. It was very quiet and peaceful.
It’s a bit of a distance from restaurants (there are 2 within walking distance) and the city center.

Excellent hosts and a lovely summer house. Modern fittings and looks beautiful when walking up to it. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend
Woukd be nice to have one of those portable electric stoves in there to cook. There is already a microwave and fridge though.

The summer house was clean and tidy. Mike and Jane were friendly hosts and more then happy to help with any queries. The house is well equipped and the location is nice and quiet without being too far out from the city centre.

The apartment was amazing. It had an authentic home feeling. We were provided with everything we needed. The host clearly have put a lot of thought and effort into making Summer House a great experience for their guest. From the fine wooden floor to the amazing bed we loved every detail. Its also located close to the city centre.
In addition the hosts were very friendly and available to us when we needed support before and during our stay.
The smoking policy. We knew the apartment was a non-smoking one but we didnt realise from the details online that included the lawn. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises. We think this should be stated explicitly on the website. We found a bench under a nice tree a minute from the apartment to smoke at so that partially made up for it.

Mark and Jane are excellent hosts - we use bookings.com for a lot our our stays throughout the country and this is one of the nicest places we have booked!!
