Property was great for our grandchildren. We needed to check out early and notified the manager that we checked out on Tuesday. We kept getting messages as if we were still there right up until our original departure date on Thursday. We also tried to shorten our depart date 30 days prior and were told there would not be a refund. I believe we should have received a 50% refund according to the agreement.
Hoping we at least get our security deposit back. I believe things would have been great if we did not have to leave. Unfortunately 2 of our grandsons had surgeries scheduled after we booked this vacation.

Stayed a long weekend with some friends. The living space was set up nicely. Pool/ping pong table and other games filled in our down time. Plenty of sleeping space. 10-15 minutes from downtown.

The space was great for our family… the kids loved the games and the big family room was ideal for us. The host was very responsive and we appreciated his local recommendations! Easy to get to various neighborhoods in Milwaukee. Had a great week!
5.0 / 5.0
A group of us came to Milwaukee for graduation and stayed at the Blue Store House. We loved the house and it's quirkiness. It was also centrally located to all our points of interest. The host is gracious and responsive. We had a seemless experience and will go back there as soon as we can.
2.0 / 5.0
Enjoyed 3 nights in Milwaukee with my family (husband, mother-in-law, 4 kids- ages 9, 3, 1, 1). We were excited about this house and the entertainment it offered for the kids. The layout was perfect, as everything is on one floor. 3 of the bedrooms are in the back of the house- perfect for when the younger kids went to bed earlier than the rest. The kitchen was equipped with a Keurig but only had enough k-cups for one cup of coffee per adult each morning. When we contacted the owner for more, he was very responsive and we were able to get additional coffee for our stay.
The home is definitely old and has a few quirks (I.e. “meat locker” bunk room door does not close, toilet paper hung in the front door window panels in lieu of curtains). We were extremely disappointed with the overall cleanliness and didn’t feel the house had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. We found a bowl with what looked like moldy food in one of the closets and there were nails and a brick in the corner of the bunk room on the floor.
We provided this feedback, with pictures, to the owner upon returning home. Overall, the house suited us for our visit but would not stay again and would not recommend.

We booked this property to have a family gathering for my dad’s 90th birthday, and it was perfect for our needs. The front room that was formerly a store is spacious but still comfortable. It has beautiful wood moldings, tasteful accents of blue and black paint, a marble nook that was likely an old desk. It’s very funky but charming. The attached back quarters was great with a second, small living area and some bedrooms. Our two young granddaughters shared the former freezer-space-turned-loft-bedroom. It was lined with wood and was cozy for them—we loved this room. The kitchen, though small, was workable, fun, and well-stocked.
We were able to make the front area festive for the party and everyone had a great time.
There was a great assortment of games for all ages--foosball, board games, video games, and a giant connect 4—such a nice variety and it made it fun for everyone.
The outside was inviting with the colorful mural. The location is well situated for going any direction in Milwaukee, and communication with the owner/manager was timely and helpful. There's plenty of parking, but a couple of off-limits spots, which the owner explained very clearly.

Our team used this amazing space during our travels for a work trade show. The kitchen, living room, and, other amenities were perfect. Food and drinks were within walking distance. There are lots of great running trails as well.

There were 11 male adults (28-50 age range). We were celebrating an individual's last days of being single. We looked all over the city for a reasonable priced place, that allowed gatherings, and close to the brewers stadium. We found a few but this listing was the best one. Fong was outstanding to work with. There was a glitch in the system and he took care of us well. The place was very accurate on how many people, to what they provided. I would say there are things that are slightly run down (Cabinet were bubbly, foosball table had a few things broken) and was slightly dirty (top of the cabinets, to a few places under the bed). I would say a 4.8 would be an appropriate rating, but Fong was outstanding as a host. Due to his kindness and willingness to help the review needs a 5+ star rating. The last thing I will say is all of the guest were complimenting the property left and right. I would stay there again!

The space was able to hold our group of three families of 4-5 which was great. Common space in front of house was great for our big group and had things to play with, etc. appreciated the off-street parking for 3-4 cars.
The kitchen area was really hard to get cool - same with the one main floor bathroom (with no fan). Bedrooms had AC units which was helpful but noisy.
Some things that I would have hoped to be better than they were:
- The downstairs bathroom was not great - the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Essentially unusable as a shower for our group.
- Spider webs in downstairs bathroom, dust and other things under the beds (had not been swept)
- Floors in the common spaces were dirty - our socks or feet were black after a couple hours of being there. When wiping up a spill in the kitchen the paper towel was filthy from the ground
- No regular coffee maker, only K-cup machine with provided cups being unusual flavors like bananas foster and dulce de leche. We brought our own coffee but didn’t have a way to make it
- Not enough cups/coffee mugs for our group - if the house can accommodate that many people, I would have hoped there would be enough cups, etc for them to use if dining at the same time
Overall, the place serves its purpose and was in a good location to get to places we visited during the day. With some adjustments and attention to detail, this place could be stellar, but was underwhelming for the price we paid.

Good house to stay in while at Summerfest. Great variety of games to play at the house. Great location, walking distance to a couple bar and grills. 3 bedrooms had AC units, the other 2 bedrooms had fans. The 2nd bathroom is in the unfinished basement. Nice to have the extra bathroom but the shower water temp was either scalding hot or ice cold. Probably something easy to fix. Kitchen did not have AC unit so it did get quite warm while cooking. Also, there were limited mugs and silverware. For example, 4 forks and 5 mugs were available for a house that sleeps 10 plus people. Luckily we only had 6 people that woke up at all different times for breakfast, so it didn't phase us. Most days were spent at the fest. Overall, we enjoyed our time.

We were in town for an event and purposely added an additional day just to enjoy the space. Great location and ideal for entertaining. Multiple common spaces came in handy for spreading out when we wanted. Everything was clean and labeled which I loved. Host was very attentive and eager to help or make recommendations if needed. Would definitely stay here again!

6 guys ice fished Milwaukee and Racine area. This was a very good home base as it had nice open area, Galaga game, corn hole, and a big card table. 4 guys had own room, 2 bunked in 5th bedroom.
Short drive to downtown. Nice place with charm.

This is a really fun and unique property in a very sweet neighborhood. My adult children & I celebrated our Christmas together here. Two of the girls live in Milwaukee, but their apartments weren’t big enough for all of us to stay together. We had more than enough room & had a great time. The back lounge area was nice because when some of us were cooking we could still be together & be comfortable. We had no problems, and the owner was quick to answer my questions I had when booking.

The arcade was great for all ages (1.5, 4, 40, and 60 year olds). The accommodation has several room options, a great room for family playing, and some entertainment that keeps everyone engaged if you're stuck inside on a rainy day. The location is great, just 5-10 min to zoo, and 10 min to downtown. Lots to do in MKE, and we're looking forward to the next vacation here!

Came for a family wedding. Grandparents needing a place to babysit littles while parents enjoyed black-tie events. The kids really enjoyed the big living space with electronic gaming table and tv with all the features they could want (adult sports fans, too!) Our property manager was very professional and patient as i always have a lot of questions. The tall stairs to the second bathroom in the basement were a little scary for us older folks and the younger kids- but for many groups this would be a non-issue! We found many very nearby businesses very helpful! (Walmart grocery, Target, and Papa Murphy’s pizza). Able to cook and save some money feeding our whole crew of 8 adults and 5 kids!

The place used to be a store and converted to a nice space with plenty of space and beds. Perfect spot for any group gathering. Owner was very good with communication and provided any necessary specifics. Would highly recommend.
