The room is old and was not clean when we arrived. The breakfast is one of the worst hotel breakfasts i have ever experienced. first we had to wait for over 1,5hour to get served. Then everything was empty. The room had alot of mosquitoes/ animals in it. They changed the sheets but never the towels. Area is cool with the pool but rooms under average.

It's really great choice to spend the night here. The staffs are friendly. One of the staff, Mr. Widi really helpful and we are really grateful. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. We slept comfortably. There are two big swimming pool. Our favorite pool is next to the restaurant. The view is amazing. So we are gonna stay there in the next holidays.Thank you for Amatara Agung Raka hospitality.

This is the best place I’ve been by far. The rice fields, the swimming pools and the restaurant are so great. And the staff is so friendly. The food is great and it has a decent price. Totally recommended.

I usually don’t leave comments but this time I feel I have to. Agung Raka is a mess. The resort itself is rather fantastic but it’s sad how poorly it is managed. We rented a villa. The TV and WiFi did not work, the toilet leaked water and the villa was very poorly cleaned. All of this we reported several times to the friendly smiling staff...and nothing happened. The staff seemed to focus on removing leaves from the grass but could not clean in the room, did not even change the full bag from the waist bin. Bad prioritation! The breakfast was really poor and service incredible slow even though there were just a few guests there. The staff was actually sitting in the restaurant having meeting and also used guest toilets. One of the most poorly managed hotels i ever had the misfortune to stay in. Stay away!

Little to no running water to shower. Extremely dirty especiallly towels. I won’t ever come back even if it is free.
Note: staffs were very friendly but management needs to fix the place up.

First impressions were good, staff were always friendly. Place could do with a lot of maintenance, paint is peeling in the hallways, the rooms have dust in the corners and the bathrooms are very average which explains the lack of photos featured when advertising the place. We used the laundry service and the clothes were returned damp and as such my partners white t shirt was ruined with bright pink splotches from pink clothes placed on top of it. I understand this is a third party service but still, not good enough, it’s basic. I also left my expensive headphones on the couch in the room but for some reason the hotel couldn’t find them when I called about them. Wouldn’t stay here again which is a shame as it has a lovely pool and the people were friendly but is let down in a big way by these few things.

Loved the resort and definitely would come back. Only down side was the breakfast. Limited options and bad coffee. Villa was gorgeous, view was amazing, pool was perfect. Location is ideal and convenient to everything in Ubud.

The staff at the hotel were lovely, very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is a little run down. When I arrived I immediately upgraded to a better room as the basic ones are in a need of refurbishment. The pool area is nice but does not get much sun and is a little disrupted by the building site next door.

We stayed at the rice field view villas where the traditional materials have been used to build these Indépendant villas with a chill out area on the ground floor , entrance and open air bathroom while the second floor host the bed, sofa and view terrace . Quiet and comfortable option in ubud.

We had the most beautiful house, right in the middel of the rice fields and a 15 minute welk to the centre.

I booked Agung Raka to be close to ARMA for Bali Spirit Festival. Wow, what a treat! I stayed in a ground floor garden villa and it was a great home away from home. Initially I booked 4 nights but extended extra nights to spend nyepi there. The rooms are set amongst tropical gardens right back away from the main road. When you check in the hotel staff drive you in a golf buggy to your room. The restaurant serves all day - I arrived at 330pm from the Gili islands and was so happy they served a nasi goreng and mango smoothie. The food is a little more money than you'll pay out in the street but I was happy to pay more (still very cheap) for the convenience. The pool is quite spectacular - sort of like an infinity pool with tropical gardens as the backdrop. The room is spacious with a big bed. Air con and wifi worked well. There are a lot of mosquitos so make sure you apply repellant. The restaurant burns coils too. The bathroom smelt some days - that would be the only downer but it wasn't so bad - this is Bali and for the price, this gorgeous property is excellent value. Chatting with other guests, we all shared the same view - amazing place and value for money. I am a female solo traveller and really enjoyed my peaceful stay here. Thank you :-)

I spent the the month of February 2017 at Agung Raka and had an amazing stay. The staff were incredible, welcoming and helpful. Daily breakfast was delicious. The resort is located in the heart of Ubud with many wonderful restaurants just steps away along with convenient stores, shopping and a laundry service. I received timely airport shuttle service as well as a daily shuttle service to the market. It was truly amazing to step off the busy streets into the peaceful rice fields and beautiful gardens of Agung Raka. I highly recommend this resort.

Lots of mosquitoes, may be good to put some insect repellent
Blanket for extra bed is too thin.
However is spacious and clean. A good hotel with modest facilities. We took the rice fields villa which gives a Balinese flavored stay

The infinity pool was great, breakfast was good. Everything else was not good.

Very large room, comfortable bed, mini fridge stocked with water and pop (Pop costs money) air conditioner worked well, wifi progressively got better and better (it was like every place we stayed in Bali) there were two pools pool were very beautiful, the landscape was very well kept, the area is perfect because you can easily walk to the two biggest attractions in Ubud; the monkey Forest and the markets (its about a 10 minute walk) or get their free shuttle to drive you and pick you up but only at certain time, the restaurant there was quite quite and fairly priced, my only complaint is that a lot of bugs were able to get into our room from this break in the window (not sure why they would build it like this) its right in the bathroom so there were lots of Mosquitos and geckos in the bathroom, not the biggest deal considering you are in Bali and theres a bug sheet that covers the entire bed so you dont get bit when youre sleeping, also the water would randomly turn off, it happened about 5 times (some when we were showering) just wait a little bit and then the nozzle off then back on, annoying but it would only stay off for like 1-3 minutes. Other then that it was an awesome Hotel and you cant beat the price!

Great value hotel, bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. Bed was comfy and room plain but did the job and was clean. Pool is great, really nice area with great view. Grounds are lovely and I would be happy to stay again. Good location too. Over all really enjoyed my stay here.

Our room was a long walk through the resort. Room was nice but the bathroom was horrible. Walls between rooms are thin as we could clearly hear other guests talking. It is set in a beautiful area and the pools are great.

The swimming pools were lovely and you can take a swim anytime of the day or night! The breakfast wasn't worth getting up for - not a big selection.
The hotel grounds are lovely and have a litre buggy to take you around.
The staff - beware! Do not buy trips or boat services from them! They over charge and give you the wrong information - they are known for this but we wasn't aware.
The location is good, lovely place to eat just down the road called Buddha bowl. Also walking distance to monkey forest which is worth a visit!
