The hotel has nice view which makes it a great place to stay and relax. I really enjoy tye view there. Only thing is no air condition, it is a bit hard for summer time. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends.

This is a beautiful, unique place with tons of history. The scenery is gorgeous and it's a really cool place. The beds are older and the linens and pillows and towels etc. definitely need to be updated.

Out room was satisfactory. No complaints there. The Ghost Town was awesome! I particularly loved all the effort that went into the Halloween Walk-Through! The restaurant though was horrible. Pricey especially for serving frozen boxed Fish & Chips. My fish was doughy. A very unappetizing meal and nowhere else to go there for dinner. That restaurant was the only option available when we got there. I will never stop and eat there again. Totally not worth it!

This is a unique property. Just be sure you don't want TV or wifi. Beautiful surroundings.

What a beautiful, quaint place! We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful resort, our room with a balcony overlooking the gardens and lake, and the friendly staff.
I wish we could have stayed longer than one night.

Hotel has sulpher odor in hallways , probably area nothing could be done but air freshener . Needs updating everywhere . Walked upto front desk no one there (watching me through a two way mirror maybe ) wakes around in circles then they came out , seemed put out I was there -not friendly . Wanted money every angle to do anything on property . It seems since owner died not a dollar put into place. Beautiful area , beautiful
Looking but nah. We paid for room with view . Not really . Was just very disappointed

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Yes it is dated, but staff obviously does their best to keep it updated as possible and clean. Gorgeous view from the room. No air conditioning, but we kept the balcony door open and it provided plenty of cool breeze on a warm day. The biggest plus was that Ghost Town. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as we did and we spent a few hours there and could’ve spent more. The restaurant was, OK food but the highlight was our server. Alicia, who went out of her way to anticipate all our needs and make us feel welcome. She deserves a raise and was really the best part of that restaurant. Food is OK, better than driving all the way to Revelstoke to eat and we did enjoy both dinner and breakfast there. I would definitely not hesitate to come back. We really enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel.

The goat town is very nice. The property it self is very unkept.

This hotel has a lot of history and a ghost town museum on site. Loved the lake view room too!

Every time we ever went by the hotel we said it would be nice to stay there sometime. Did that.
Room was clean and comfortably updated but aged smell. Few maintenance issues that they said would be addressed when he staff were back the next day ie light burnt out, fan in bathroom not working.
Of greater concern, patio doors (serious pry marks on outside patio door frame) didn’t lock. Room is on second floor there are patio dividers with space on top and bottom that could be used for access between patios if so inclined.
Patio screen ripped and bent. Frame fixed with 4 inch piece of aluminum bolted in the middle. The person at desk said the majority of patio doors don’t lock but there have been no incidents.

This property has not changed in 40 plus years. The rooms are tired but the view from the balcony beautiful. The restaurant was basic and the food was truck stop quality. Many European visitors, a bus tour and Hells Angels shared a meal. Wifi available in two spots, three channels for tv.

Drove by Three Valley Gap many times. Decided to book a room and stay, glad we did. We will be back.

It’s a charming property in a beautiful setting, in the mountains by the lake. The gardens are gorgeous along with the unique features of the Old World Charm of the chateau make it a special place to visit. The staff are nicest people you could wish to meet. There is a library, games room, indoor swimming pool, pool room, indoor garden and many other surprises around every corner. Adjacent to the property there is a ghost town and museum.having said all that, the decor needs updating. The room are clean and cosy but they are dated. The TV reception is poor and hard to watch. The dining areas need a redo and the hotel would benefit great with a spa area. Don’t let my picky observation put you off, the Chateau is a Diamond in the rough, and if you're sick of the usual standard hotel room; go visit the Chateau and if you have kids they will love it.

Besides there was no microwave or wifi in the room the hotel was fabulous. We will be going there again.

Lovely scenic location by a lake, but the upkeep of the property has been neglected. WiFi coverage was very poor.

We had a great time at our stay. The chateau has a lot of quirks, and we loved it.
The beach was lovely, lots of different facility areas to hang out and play games, all the staff were lovely and kind, it was a cool place to stay.
It wasn’t a bad drive to get back to Revelstoke at all if you wanted to explore there, or not far from some of the other local areas we wanted to explore.

staying in this hotel was on our bucket list since we were both teenagers. We finally stayed there after we retired. It was an enjoyable experience in an older hotel. The ghost town and railway museum were great fun and we appreciated that as hotel guests we could go in and out as we pleased in High 30 Celsius weather. There was no A/C, but our room allowed us to get a cross breeze going in our room. We had beautiful views from both sides of our room of the lake on one side and the ghost town on the other.
The only issue we had was there were not enough employees in the restaurant and the night we arrived we went for dinner around 7 when the hours said open until 9 pm. We were told it would be over a 30 minute wait to be seated and 90 minutes until they could get food out which would be when they closed so they could not serve us. It is a ways away from other towns and we had driven all day and were too tired to get back into car to find somewhere to eat so we grabbed snacks in the gift shop and went without dinner.

Great location. Helpful staff. Really enjoyed the lake - great for paddleboarding, with numerous photo ops - trains, the hotel, etc.

The view from our room was spectacular. There is no ac but we did find a fan in the closet which was fantastic.

IT'S OKAY. MOTEL QUALITY BUT BIG SIZED. Unique stuff in and around the place is very eclectic. Definitely interesting and natural location spectacular rock sides, which forces highway and train to be close by.

This property is a bit dated, but had amazing views nestled amongst the mountains.
