I’m new to hostels, but after staying at Wise Owl in Tokyo... I nearly considered getting a hotel after I checked in. The place is basically an old apartment building I think. It looked like a college kid’s apartment. Bathrooms were slightly dirty and smelly. The room was ok the first night but then smelled SO BAD the next two nights of garlic and sweaty bodies. It was very stuffy in the room. Not enough bathroom or shower rooms. 2 of each for the whole building? You have to hunt for it in a residential area. It may or may not have been safe area. I was a little creeped out walking there at night in the quiet dark and narrow alleyways. WiFi was good, staff was very nice. Next time I would splurge an extra $15 for a more modern hostel.

As it is quite difficult to find a decent hostel at Osaka city area, this is a good one near Shin-Osaka area. It is only one stop away (subway Midosuji line) from Shin-Osaka station. It took a while for me to locate the place - after all, it is not that difficult when you get used to it. The staff who approached me was very friendly, explained clearly everything to me. He even recommended places of interest of Osaka to me. The room is quite big. Bed is comfortable as well. All basic amenities are available. Give it an attempt if you ever visit Osaka.

Equipped well , clean and tidy, really cheep and reasonable price. We all like the shining smile, considerate service from friendly staffs. I’m really appreciate! You gave my aged parents the best of care since their anxiously waiting, after we checked out. Thank you so much!

Had a great stay, staff were really helpful and nice. The Hostel itself was clean and had everything you need and it was also within 5 minutes of the subway.

Pretty basic, but good value. Conveniently located. Friendly staff.

The hostel is approximately 7 mins walk from the Nishinakajima-minamigata station (try saying it 5 times fast). The actual location of the hostel is in a nice quiet residential area with convenience stores close by. I was in a mixed dorm bunk-bed room and found it quite great for sleeping and interacting with other travellers. The spaces were clean and had their own bed lamps. The bathrooms were well-kept and the staff was pleasant (a special thank you to the person who helped me retrieve my cologne that fell besides the building!). While the hostel isnt located in a tourist-heavy area, its a good place to come back and unwind after busy activities. I liked it!

This is a hostel; do not expect anything fancy when you arrive. However, the friendly and helpful staff make up for anything the hotel lacks when it comes to amenities. It is very close to a train station; to get from the hotel to Osaka Station takes under fifteen minutes, and the atmosphere surrounding the hostel is pleasant and comfortable. I definitely want to stay here again.

This is a great location, close to the train and subway stations and a walk across the bridge takes you into an area with loads of restaurants. Our only complaint is that we had a private room which consisted of a bunk bed and both the top and bottom bunks squeaked VERY loudly with any slight movement. Since like most places in Japan, you're sleeping on basically a light comforter for padding, we were uncomfortable so the frequent reposition kept us up all night. We both commented that the morning couldn't come soon enough! Bathroom and showers were nice and clean. Air conditioner worked.

I was travelling with a friend and booked a private room with TV, which got us two bunk beds and a cupboard to ourselves. When we arrived, there was no TV in the room, but the staff member who was on that day was very helpful. and set it up for us.The room was quite spacious and the cupboards were huge (enough for 4 people), though the wardrobe was full up with bits and pieces - no fewer than 4 doors and a spare bunk bed ladder were being housed in there - which made it difficult to use.Even though it was shared bathrooms, there are two of them for a pretty small hostel, and both are quite spacious, private bathrooms. The one on the lower floor was showing its age a bit more than the other, but there was absolutely nothing I could find wrong with either. The laundry facilities were decent too, although they don't have a dryer, just a spin dry in the washing machine. Rather than hang our laundry outside (it had been raining, and this is in winter), we hung them over the spare top bunks under the heater and nearly everything dried overnight. In terms of the location, the hotel is close to the subway and Hankyu lines and not too far from Shin-Osaka station (for the Shinkansen and other JR lines). Around the local station there are a lot of restaurants and bars, and the likes of Namba and Umeda are both short train rides on the same subway line.

地點方便 附近也很安靜 只是晚上的時候因為旅館有點老舊 走路的聲音蠻大聲的 其餘的話如果是一個人來還蠻推薦的

Everything worked out perfectly and the staff helped me with arrangements. The place was easy to find and only two stops from the main railway station.

Really hard to sleep with a room full of strangers. People come in and out of the room at all hours of the day. Some people don't have the consideration to be quite as you sleep. The room was stuffy and it was hard to turn on the air-conditioner because it was right above someone's bed and I didn't want to disturb that person nor knew the comfort level of others. Someone couldn't stop coughing, so it was uneasy for me. There are only two shared bathrooms, so you have to wait for others to be done. Bath towels cost 100 Yens. 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Hotel should be a real phone number on their site. The taxi guy couldn't locate it with the current main number from the hotel's website.
