Unfortunately The Dormy House had plumbing issues so they rang us in the morning while we were driving up to Norfolk and offered to find another hotel booking for us, which they did and we stayed at the Clifftonville Hotel in Cromer. I noticed the room rate was cheaper but we had a good room, although with twin beds, and an excellent breakfast.

Staff were very friendly
Lovely little walk to the beach with our little dog 👌

Nice size room, good breakfast and friendly staff, more atmosphere than you would get in a large hotel

Good service. Pleasant staff. Lovely sea view room. Good menu in restaurant. Excellent carvery. Will visit again soon

Lovely staff, nice breakfast. The carvery looked superb Al be it we didn’t get a chance to try it.
Room was nice a little dated but nice enough.
Most importantly clean.
We were woken by cleaners very early on Sunday morning opening cupboards in the corridor which was annoying.
They should Maybe leave the cleaning until a bit later on a Sunday.
A nice walk to the Sea.
A very long walk into Cromer if you fancy it or a short drive.
Overall good value for the money we paid.

The room we had was good bathroom was dated with shower over bath piped to the taps not good for temp control the room was noisy and because windows were over the pebbled entrance it was noisy most of the day made worse as we had to have the windows open because of the heat but did have a partial view of the sea

Generally speaking the hotel was nice. Our room, number 2, was on the small side and not wheelchair accessible and was lacking in space for clothes if staying for more than one or two nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

General comfort was good, nice hallways and bar area. Barman was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, but everything was said to be gluten free on the menu but when we ordered there was no gluten free bread of any type and the sauce for the hollaindaise and the sausages were not GF. My wife ordered a half full English that arrived without toast and sausage without being told.

Room fine although ensuite, particularly the shower cubicle, needs an upgrade. General decor contemporary with great prints on the walls! Sea view from room. Evening meal and breakfast were good.

Beautiful decor and great food choices for dinner and breakfast.
Noisy in the room from the bar downstairs but mainly from the room above, kids jumping off the beds?!

Hotel and room was lovely and the restaurant and food was really great. What let the stay down was the noise, we could hear the reception music below our room playing over the TV and well past 11pm, then being woken up from around 5am with the cars driving past and the front door banging and peole chattering downstairs. We were in room 15 which was listed as a superior double room.

Arrived to complete chaos! Crowds of people and dogs everywhere in the bar, reception and corridor outside the restaurant. It appears they had overbooked for the Sunday carvery - not the best first impression and they were still offering tables to people who had no bookings.
I felt very sorry for the staff who appeared completely out of their depth - there were so many angry and disgruntled people.
The hotel room was fine, the sea view blocked by a big extractor vent in the way. We were offered another room with a road view, but as we had paid extra for a sea view we stayed with the original room.

Stayed one night
Room ok but needs a bit of updating
Especially shower as water flow very poor and temperature kept going hot and cold
Room above us was very noisy especially the floor creaking constantly until early hours after people above went to sleep

We had a very nice weekend, full English was lovely, will stay again!

A great location. A lovely sized and well decorated room. The bar area and restaurant area were really well decorated and themed . I loved the multi coloured chesterfield sofa and chair as you entered. Staff were great and very friendly/ welcoming to us and our dog.
The only criticism would be that the bathroom was very dated and was in need of a deep clean rather than an end of stay clean, more down to its age than a hygiene issue. We will happily come back again. A short walk from the beach for a great sunny day winter walk and a 5 minute drive into Cromer if that is want you want.

Great hotel, clean friendly, room good, no glasses for bathroom & too cold to use bath even with heating on in room 15. Mystery door in room with small bolt lock & weird combination lock, bit disconcerting. Friendly & def go back. Breakfst very good quality, bread in packet still so everyone putting their hands in & out not great, bread with tongs please!!
