Me and my partner stayed here for the night, we were welcomed by the team which throughout are stay have been fantastic, nothing was to much trouble! The breakfast was incredible 100% recommend the pancakes.
The only thing that was a down side was we didn’t realise it was a carvey and my partner is a Vegetarian so there wasn’t much choice of food.

Great breakfast

Great location, beautiful views, bedrooms comfortable and clean, breakfast staff and food excellent. The refurbishments so far are really good.
Room 10 nicely decorated but needs black out blinds very thin curtains, exterior lights shone through at night. Excessive noise from hand dryers in toilets below. The bathroom is very tired with disability rails and disability chair not very inviting although everything was in good working order. Evening meals good but took 2 hours to come, evening manager very rude but food not charged for as good will.

The food was excellent..the manager was very helpful and very polite..The bar nice and staff very polite. Will definitely go again

Location
Very rude staff in the restaurant except a young guy called James. Had to wait 1 1/2 hours for my meal. Unacceptable
4.2
The staff were all very helpful, especially Emma in the restaurant. Check in was easy and quick by Freeman. The food in the restaurant was excellent, breakfast was amazing. The bar was comfortable, the barman Andrew was pleasant and helpful.
Easy access to our room via lift. The room was comfortable, huge bed.
4.2
Breakfast was a little slow but excellent choices
More staff on duty to cope with guests
4.2
Location was excellent. Breakfast was ok nothing special. Kids had pancakes and the portion was very small.first time we had stayed at a hotel with our dog which was good.
The heating in our room was like a sauna. The bed was a bit small for 2 adults and we were unable to take a shower due to red hot water and hardly any cold water.
4.2
Loved the location, the staff were friendly & there is a lift which is a big plus for people with disabilities
Can’t say there wasn’t anything we didn’t like
4.2
Absolutely superb from an extensive breakfast menu. Restaurant in the evening was excellent especially the pies.Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
4.2
Easy parking. Lift.
Bombarded with unnecessary emails pre visit. No warning about steep stairs to Room 17 and I am 80, so not good. 50 minutes from start to finish for breakfast and then when it finally came it wasn't what we ordered. No mattress protector on the double bed and a broken pane of glass in one of the veluxes. No soap dish in shower. On the TV couldn't remove the 'deaf' option with text appearing in the middle of the screen.

Lovely hotel which is really well run by attentive staff

Not much really, location was excellent.
My partner is disabled and we knew there was a parking space at front of hotel, when we arrived it was taken up by another car not displaying a blue badge, so we unpacked bags at top of driveway and I went in to reception to ask about it, it was actually the manager that parked in that spot, he did move his car to the car park at bottom of driveway and we were able to drive up to park in disability spot but it was all unnecessary and easily avoidable . We were booked into the wrong room initially which was located right at the top on very narrow staircase, my partner has mobility issues so it was very difficult for him, although after I went to reception to mention it they moved us to our correct room . No table service whatsoever, so back and forth to breakfast area with drinks, cereal etc. I asked for 2 double G&Ts in the Evening was told her could do one Hendricks which was my brand of choice only to be told that he could only do one drink and I could pick another gin which was only Gordons which I don’t like at all, and no other ones apart from flavoured .
Staff not brilliant, staff everywhere but not actually doing much in my opinion.

The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and food tasty, hot and plenty of it.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable.
The staff at the Inn were welcoming and attentive.
I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying there.l
Not sure I can think of anything to change.
4.2
Lovely room. All newly decorated
Not so much the room but more the restaurant, we booked for a carvery, they say they are opened till 8 but at 7.20 they didn't have enough for us. Disappointed at I've heard they are great.
They were very busy, but one member of staff was particularly flustered and not very helpful

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful with lovely view of the sea from room #1
Beds were super comfortable. Dinner was excellent with just the right sized portions. I had the kids macaroni cheese and my sister had the scampi. And the choice for breakfast was amazing. All told, a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.
We would have liked more milk in the room for our tea/coffee (We did get some more later from the restaurant ) and more than one biscuit each. But that's all.

Friendly and easy to stay in

This property is in a fantastic location, midway between Sheringham and Cromer and just a short walk from the beach. The staff were wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
The rooms are sadly very dated and the bathrooms are in a very tired state .
4.2
Good location good food lovely outdoor space’s friendly staff
Could do with a bit of freshening up on paint work in room
4.2
Location was central to Cromer and Sheringham
Breakfast very good
Due to late booking we were allocated a room in the attic.
Stairs were difficult to negotiate with suitcases and a walking stick.
Room looking tired especially the bathroom. The shower is in need of a good clean.
4.2
Location was good. The breakfast was varied and plent of it
Bar shut early despite having told us it would be open after 22.00
4.2
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Maybe the ensuite facilities. It was very small and would benefit greatly from having an extractor fan in it.
4.2
Breakfast was good, junior staff were kind and helpful. The room I got on the second night was ok.
I booked and paid for in advance a sea view room. If these had not been available I would not have chosen Dormy House because I had a similar bad experience last year by being given a room on the road side. When I arrived I was told there were no sea view rooms available, in spite of my having paid already and checking in around 3h30, and I was again given the noisiest room on the road side of the building. Traffic noise goes on almost all night and is appalling. The manager was impertinent and unhelpful to start with, eventually agreeing to knock £20 off the first night and give me a sea view room at the back for the second night. I want to know who is responsible for overbooking, is it Booking.com or the hotel? The incident spoiled my stay away, which I had looked forward to for weeks. I am more than prepared to pay for whatever I want, but I expect someone, either the hotel or Booking.com, to honour its agreement with the customer. I will not return to the hotel for a third time.

Nothing!!!

View from back of hotel
2nd time of staying and twin room wasn’t booked and was booked a double. Staff were very, very slow and didn’t really come up with a solution. Breakfast was to late and selection was poor. Bar staff were more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Overall terrible value for money and service didn’t match.
4.2
Room was spacious
Too close to main road so could hear traffic passing by.

Everything was brilliant. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing especially the breakfast. Will be staying here again for sure.
4.2
Breakfast was even better than I imagined, more than you could want, cooked too perfection.
A match for the amazing carvery we had there the day before too!!
The only fault I could find is one window had a cracked pain of glass in room 17 however it didn't really effect us !
Still a 10/10 stay
4.2
Good breakfast and location
Room not as advertised by Booking .com
No terrace with standard family room and only 2 beds, instead of 3
4.2
The cooked breakfasts were good, the large patio was pleasant and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Very dog-friendly.
The bedroom was very small and the shower room tiny. There was only a trickle of water from the shower - hair washing was impossible. Servicing of the room was poor to nonexistent. There was constant noise and smell from the kitchen extractor right outside our window and one night it was left on all night so we got no sleep. Only one vegetarian main course on the menu.
4.2
Nice sized room, clean and very comfortable
The room was near the stairs and I could hear people talking outside my door at all hours of the morning.
4.2
Excellent
Nothing no complaints.

Food was amazing. Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Staff are amazing, especially the bar girl with mousey brown hair in a ponytail with glasses, softly spoken and gorgeous too. I don't know her name but she was very helpful, funny and talkative.
Bit expensive but nothing to worry about! Everything was amazing so wasn't surprised how much everything cost.
