Staying for two nights, room cleanliness poor, no hair dryer or makeup stool, poor lights in bathroom to do makeup, staff nice .For money what we paid expected a bit better

On arrival was informed they were not allowing pets in future however that was, why i choose the place. Good Central location in Blackpool, Drop off space out front is useful , large place with music as warned in the rooms but strangely not in the corridors or outside but did not go on too late. No Fan in bathroom so plenty of steam. Breakfast went well.

Nice guest house, next to Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, close to town centre.
Nice friendly bed & breakfast. Happy hour in the bar and evening entettianment on a weekend.
3.6
Property had a reception open all night. That bar was open , nice polite and friendly staff.
Mattress on bed could do with an upgrade. Could feel the springs unfortunately.

All staffing helpful and friendly. Bar and karaoke was great. Shared a room with four other ladies, beds comfortable and room size was good. Bathroom need’s updating but adequate for our needs. Price was good for the two nights and breakfast was lovely. Good stay for a good price. Would stay again.

It’s so so small, old, very uncomfortable place to stay, breakfast not good

Perfect location close to the Winter Gardens. Currently going through an update which, from the parts already done, will be really good when finished. Nice breakfast and overall great value for money..

My single room was clean, warm and comfortable. Shower hot. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. Great price for one night.

We picked for location as were attending the winter gardens it was perfect round the corner location , also has a lift so was good for my mam , we were on first floor although the room did not look like the picture online which was a triple it was clean but needs some tlc , staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious with fast serving and hot tea which is rare , would book again .

In room number 1 on ground floor next to lift people slamming doors all night and shouting. Bathroom way to small

The hotel itself was dated and felt as tho tgey hadnt had a hood clean for ages there wasnt even any curtains in the room just a dated white blind the springs were sticking through the mattrass also and when i asked to get moved rooms they tried to move me to an even worse room that smelled like damp the Scottish girl that worked on reception was just rude and obnoxious not helpful at all the bathrooms looked like something out the 80.s with a horrible green bathroom suite the lift in the building took ages to get up to the second floor the noise from the bar was terrible also the only decent thing about this dump was seeing the back of it i would avoid this like the plage again what a complete dump i no blackpool is renowed for tackie hotels but this just takes the biscuit it should be condemned

Great stay. Lovely breakfast. Cpuld be doing with more staff as its left for 1 person to do reception and bar. But great place overall and location next to shopping centre

Wonderful time staying here at the Melville, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. The bar was great and Peter I think his name was(Scottish chap) let us enjoy ourselves with no issues, very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Can be better, but we like all the friendly staffs.
3.6
Cheap but not so cheerfull, wouldn't recommend even if it's just a bed for the night as if like me you'd get very little to no sleep between the uncomfortable bed and the amount of noise (untill 1 in the morning) and yet surprisingly it says on the door to the bar "Be Respectful of noise level".

We had a lovely welcome from the staff on arrival, but unfortunately the room we were put in was right above the bar and they had karaoke on until 1am. As we were staying there as a family this wasnt the best room to be put in. Then at 5am a guest in the next room was being violently sick as as the walls are so thin it sounded like it was in the same room as us.

Hotel was very nice, communal areas were really nice, the rooms were ok, could do with an update, but it didnt spoil our trip, only one complaint was the heating wasnt so good, some of our group found it rather cold in their room

5 mins before checkin I got a call to say they had overbooked and had to change my room from family to double. I arrived to find my room tiny with a disgusting smell, the toilet nearly overflowed every time it was flushed and the smell coming up the toilet was disgusting. I reported all my issues with the hotel and they done nothing which was unacceptable. There was blood on the walls in the hall, the food was ok.
I would not recommend this hotel it looks nice from the outside but is horrible inside and the staff on reception aren’t very helpful.

Hotel was very nice staff very friendly room very clean entertainment 2 nights very good we will definitely be going back very close to shops 5 min walk 10 min walk to the beach

Had an excellent stay. A nice warm welcome and room was ready early. I was given a nice double room instead of a single bed which was appreciated. Room was a little dated but was clean which is what counts. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room!
Breakfast was excellent. TBH was on par with a Wetherspoons breakfast, and service was fantastic.
Have already booked for August and will be returning in November.
Great location! Thanks to all staff for a great stay!

Could hear the music under my room till 1am.asked for a double room and a single bed got 3 single beds instead.

Room cramped. An old & dowdy place needing some TLC only saving grace was that it was close to what we wanted to visit. Breakfast looked great but alas it was all cheap food & lacking any taste.

Staff is good. Very welcoming and helpful. My mum’s wheelchair someone took which was parked right next to reception. We were on third floor. Their lift was out of order twice. So mum was stuck in the room for two days as she has minimum mobility. Then they gave us room on first floor. That was so nice of them. They gave us their old wheelchair which I do appreciate. On the whole not so good stay. Positive thing is staff is nice. Breakfast was very nice. Definitely recommend to everyone.

The only thing that I encountered was the fact that the toilet seat kept moving I reported this to one of the ladies when she was in my room and she tried to fix it and she said that she would get maintenance to fix it but I don't know if they did or not because I was out a lot of the time
