The only thing good about this place is distance to the boardwalk. It is a very small room that doesn’t seem secure. Very noisy and very bright even at night. The hallway light slips through the lap gaps between the door. Parking when we first got there was okay but the weekends is crowded and you end up fighting for street parking. Checkout is at 10. The photos were a bit deceiving. Gf needed noise cancelling headphones and an eye mask. I rigged the door with one of the dark blankets and put my bags in position to block some of the other light. The blinds don’t block any light so prepare for it to be bright in the morning.

Cute room perfect for one person maybe two. Close to the boardwalk and shops. Owners are very friendly !

We just went down to OCMD for the night to attend the extended White Marlin Open. We arrived early and inquired if we could simply park at the hotel since we thought it was too early to check in and so we didn't have to pay to park elsewhere. The gentleman at the counter checked and since our room was ready we were graciously permitted to check in early. It was much appreciated and we acknowledge how nice it was for them to allow us to do so. The room was clean and was everything as promised. We checked out early Sunday morning and headed home. The location of this hotel to not only the boardwalk and any other activity is incredible. You can walk basically everywhere to anything. We will return.

The Wellington is an older style hotel but has been updated. You can’t beat the location as it is just steps to the active part of the boardwalk and beach. The room was very clean and the beds super comfortable.
However, there are some details that could be addressed:
The door lock is about as secure as the lock on my bedroom door at home and there is no inside securing mechanism.
The water pressure in the shower was quite low. Installing a shower head that converts low pressure would make all the difference.
The A/C worked hard to keep the room cool. The weather during our stay was overcast and not overly hot. I can imagine what it would be like on super hot and humid days.
Overall, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. We were on the 3rd floor which is actually 4 floors up since ground floor is storage and maintenance. So we got our cardio in during the stay. I would stay here again but my early 20’s daughters who like to complain about 1st world problems were “meh” on staying there again. You honestly can’t beat the location.

It was clean and comfortable and close to the beach.

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Location is great. Our only complaint is WiFi does not reach the room furthest from the front desk the first floor. Not one if the four people in our group could connect- the signal dropped right outside of our room. Front desk said WiFi is complimentary and since we were not paying for it, there was nothing they could do. Since I booked the room with the expectation I could work while I was there, it was frustrating not to have WiFi and the “don’t care” attitude of the front desk did not help.

Our stay is always great at the Wellington! The Cleanliness is ☆☆☆☆☆ They have coffee, ice machine inside & room has a decent size small fridge. NO BUGS! Free Parking. Right outside the door is a convenience store w/ reasonable priced items. About 20 steps from your door, you're on the boardwalk. The staff has always been super friendly with us! Housekeeping does not barge in the door (like some reviews say) They come daily & knock, ask if you want beds made etc. They come w/ Towels, Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash & Lotion. They dont rent to anyone under 25 and I don't blame them after being down there during senior week! Its a great place for a Mom & kids or family. When you go to bed its quiet, no parties or screaming etc. It Can be a little pricey but at times it runs lower and to be honest its worth the peace of mind. We are only in our room to shower & sleep so a room w/ fridge & 2 beds is perfect for us. But they do have Apartments. Beds & pillows are amazing, not junk! If you ever had a bad experience here (like some reviews implied) I highly recommend giving them another chance! There is a $200 cash deposit if children are with you. As long as the room is left the way you found it, you get it back! I know thats steep especially on vacation but if your frequent & they know your family & how well you take care of there establishment, they may cut you a break.. They are great people & work hard to maintain the place, just human like the rest of us! ☆☆☆☆☆

This was a last minute resevation and everything in Ocean City was sold out or outrageously priced. The Wellington was a nice little hotel, very clean and in a great location. The only downside was the noise.

I can't believe that when you walk into your room for the first time, it is blazing hot! and all you have is a tiny window unit to cool off the entire room. the bathroom is like an oven all the time. and because of the A/C window unit, the street noise is unbearable! No breakfast available. the reason why they don't give you your money back is because they know you are going to cancel soon after you do the check in! my two cents

I strongly advise against bringing any valuables with you as the doors can be easily broken into, despite the staff being kind. Although the cleanliness of the rooms was good, they were extremely small. However, the location right by the beach was convenient for an overnight stay with a last-minute booking.

Location is great, but beds were uncomfortable, water pressure low, room small, noisy ( but that comes with the territory).

Noise from outside came through the AC unit, but the location is great. Very close to the board walk.

Extremely clean inside. Outside area a little older but definitely worth the stay.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was on the smaller side and only had a stand up shower. Very close to the beach and boardwalk. My only issue is the safety of the room. The doors do not have deadbolts, chains or latches. The first night of my stay someone did try to get into my room. They probably just had the wrong door but since I was traveling alone it did make a good nights sleep more difficult.

Walls between room very thin I can hear tv from other room and people talk to each other very uncomfortable

Hotel staff was very friendly. They came in and clean up every day we were there. Very impressed at their attentiveness.

It was straight. Room was kept clean…room was just small and we should be able to sit on the balcony

likes location, clean, cable, there was no noise from other rooms. particle view of the ocean.
dislikes, broken blinds, air conditioner was very loud, no phone, water pressure was very low, no table to eat meals on.

The convenience of having the boardwalk less than a half a block away was awesome. I’d definitely recommend staying at the Wellington to any and everyone.

No closet, no armoire, no clothes hooks or hangers. No luggage rack . No reading lamp. You have to sit sideways to use toilet

We had a great stay on our vacation. We traveled with a baby and a 5 year old, so 2 complaints we had was the shower situation wasn’t ideal to bathe an infant… and no elevator for stroller access. But overall great stay and the kids had a blast!! Super close to the beach with stores and restaurants right near by! Would definitely stay again!

Building itself is old and dirty looking
Inside very clean and kept up

I loved the suite however there was no hanger area in room or bathroom for hanging clothes which was an inconvenience; the staff was really nice Sal and Fran very helpful; the hotel was just a step to the boardwalk which was great!

The property was cleaner and more put together than I expected for the price, but it was very much a “surface clean.” There was no visible dust or sand or other mess, but the carpets left a residue if you went barefoot and the bathroom had a smell to it that was less than desirable. The staff were perfectly nice and the bed was clean, no sign of bugs. For the price, a very good find.
