We had a fantastic one night stay here! Service was so friendly, the room was spacious and clean. We absolutely loved the vibe here. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious.

The beds were large and comfortable and the pool was awesome for my kids after the long excursions. However, I am glad we only stayed 2 days because the toilet in our bathroom did not flush and, despite telling the front desk about it (and them telling us someone would fix it), no one ever addressed the issue—we left with the same clump of toilet paper sitting in the toilet that was there from the first day we arrived. Luckily, there is a washroom off the pool area and in the lobby; however, if you know your toilets are on the fritz, maybe don’t book guests until it is fixed. Also of note, some of the other guests were very loud and inconsiderate, which I do not blame on the facility; however, if the walls and doors had better insulation, maybe the noise would’ve been at least somewhat reduced. Overall, I would not stay here again because the only thing that blew us away was the pool.

Staff were really nice; buildings need a bit more of attention.

Had a great time here. Staff is awesome.

My stay here was very disappointing, room was dirty barley cleaned, there is something about the shower/drain/Toilet that gives off the most foul smell when in use, and the 5 inch gap on the restroom door doesn't help makes the whole room smell. The air conditioner was not the best the not sure why they would install an air condition with the type of windows they have lets all the cold air out, on top of that i couldn't even change the temp to coldest because the vile was broken. The room door had gaps from the top and bottom causing mosquitos to be in the room during my entire stay. i stuffed plastic bags in the gaps to keep the mosquitos out. The staff was friendly but not very helpful with anything, i asked for towels since only 4 (2 big, 2 small) are in the room they were terribly stained, when i asked for more there will be a charge of $15 which is absolutely ridiculous for a hotel to do. never in my life have i ever paid to use hotel towels. The kicker is they didn't even have towels to give me and the best excuse was them blaming guests taking towels to the other location. Wouldn't get food or drinks from here to overpriced for simple food, Bar is limited n overpriced also the music they played was sad 2000 Adele n Bruno songs. Alot has changed,10yrs ago this place was popping with business and better menu, Beautiful Property, Not for people looking for a party vibe resort.

When I booked online there was nothing on the site that said I would have to share my room with others. When I. Confronted The management about this and asked for my money back. I was told that I could not get it back because Expedia took their share and they had no way of getting that back

The staff is super friendly and helpful; make you feel like a home away from home. Room was clean, food was delicious and they were very attentive. I would totally recommend to stay here.

Loved that this property offered family rooms. There were two dogs on site that my boys fell in love with, along with the turtle and fish pond. Excellent value for the price!

We had a great stay with easy access to coracol and to call. The restaurant was good for what we were there for, though. If you want to see The nightlife of San Ignacio it's a bit out of the way. They did have a driver who is happy to shuttle you back and forth though. Overall, I would definitely stay here again

Drift Inn Cayo is actually on the outskirts of San Ignacio, in Santa Elena. I was able to walk into downtown San Ignacio in about 35-40 minutes, or you can easily take a cab. Everyone knows the Aguada, so you can’t get lost.
The hotel is pretty mobility friendly, the staff are wonderful, and the Aguada restaurant is good. You can walk about 10 minutes to George Price Highway to get to some other, equally delicious but slightly cheaper restaurants, or to a few grocery marts.
Depending on where your room is, you might find it a bit loud from the road traffic.
The bed was comfortable, and sheets and towels are very clean

We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back .
After a long day out and about it was nice to have the restaurant and bar to relax and enjoy a drink and a meal at the end of the day.
The only thing I would change is to have the plastic mattress cover replaced with a more breathable cover.

This was an amazing price for my own private room and bathroom. The pool is beautiful. I didn't get in the lake, but that was beautiful too.
The lakeside dining area is spacious and beautifully decorated.
I had dinner, breakfast, and drinks at the bar. It was all very convenient. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff.
It was chill and peaceful.
I only wish I had had a fridge in my room, I probably could have asked for one, but forgot.

Rooms are basic. Matresses need upgrading. Has a great pool and trampoline for kids. Staff is awesome and friendly. Food is good. Try the wings!. Bar is same price as in town so no overcharging. Good place for moderate priced stay especially for a family. Lots to explore in the immediate area.

The property looks like the pictures, the site is beautiful, the sounds of the birds in the morning were lovely. But the highway makes so much noise I will not recommend it to anyone like me who has trouble to sleep in a noisy environment. The food was average and pricey. But there is an outside kitchen that you can use. The staff was very nice. Still a great budget option.

I stayed for three nights with my family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The family room was perfect with our little ones. The kids couldn’t stay out of the pool and the trampoline. This is a really good spot for day trips to the Mayan sites in the area and also close to the San Ignancio market. This is a budget friendly hotel that I would happily stay at again in the future

New owners / management = many disgruntled staff, challenges with service. The staff were very friendly but under strain… which effected comfort of stay.

Was an awesome stay with our daughter and 2 grandkids. Had the family room, with 1 king, double, single, was perfect. Pool was great, kids had fun on trampoline too! Not any other restaurants within walking distance, was my only complaint. Their food was very good, just a little more expensive than our budget!

Hospitality was superb. Their on site restaurant is also really good. We travelled as a family and would not hesitate to return. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Also very helpful.

My stay at Drift Inn Cayo was very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful, amenities were what one would expect from viewing pictures of the location and reading other reviews. The only reasons that I can't give an "excellent" rating are a) revelers were excessively noisy one night till perps 3:30 a.m. and b) there was a failure of the water system on my final night, requiring the use of bottled water for facial and hand washing. But the issue with the water was beyond the hotel management's controland it was repaired quickly. I would not hesitate to stay at the Drift Inn Cayo again!

The owner was onsite and on 2 different occassions I had the pleasure of listening to her berate her employees. This was a verbal and insulting tongue lashing both times. The employee(s) looked insulted and humiliated and to be honest,I was thoroughly embarassed for them. Such an unpleasant experience. I'm sure if these 2 employees could find other worthwhile work somewhere else, they would be gone. I hope I never ever ever have to see or witness this treatment of another human being. Degrading and insulting.

An absolute gem! Drift Inn Cayo is in a great location in Cayo. I got tours organized to ATM caves and Caracol from reception. Their food and drinks at The Aguada were such good prices! The ambiance was relaxing and staff were so welcoming. Rooms were clean, ac cold, wifi worked well. I stayed at both Drift Inn locations during my stay in Belize and couldn't have asked for a better place as a solo traveler.

This is a great little getaway RIGHT outside of San Ignacio. Right off a main road, it is easy to navigate to and park. (I've stayed in San Ignacio and had a nightmare trying to park on the narrow roads and navigate the one-way streets.)The rooms are nice and clean, A/C is cold, hot water in the shower, excellent wifi. It checked all my boxes and more. The scenic view of the pond, delicious food at the restaurant, and sitting areas around the property, made it that much better!10/10 recommend for affordable and convenient spot to base yourself in Cayo.
